Hi Mike I bought the DAVIE 4 softeware but I have a p1496 EGR code, but it won't let me delete and as a consequenceit won't let me do a forced regeneration, if you have any advice for me please?
That fault code means the egr is disabled. It is caused by one of these faults follow the link: dieseltruckrepairllc.com/blog/codes-that-cause-paccar-code-p1496/
You would use Cummins insite to adjust the progressive shift on a Cummins engine. Are you asking about turning the engine power up or down? If so you would Cummins insite for this also but have to go to calibration selection.
@freebeerandpizza2008 wait there's adjustments to the progressive shift? I thought it was just on/off. Now, to turn the power up/down, are there presets? & is it possible to do a how to for insights?
Yes you can access wiring diagrams and repair information just for the paccar engines if you subscribe to it. But it is an additional cost from Davie 4

Great video. Was wondering: some tasks want the engine on, & other tasks just the key/ignition on. So do you start the program with the engine actually running ? Or the ignition on? The Davie4 warnings on some tasks had me wondering which was best. And why are some options greyed out? Thanks for a great video here
I start the program with the engine off key on. Some tests will ask you to start engine yes. As far as I know the grayed parameters are options that are not available yet. Hope this helps

@@freebeerandpizza2008 p1517 don't know which code set him. My def quality always reads 0% and it has both nox sensors new.def quality and quantity good. And when it sprays nox conversion is beautiful.

I have no clue for the power changes. There is no option I have seen on my end to change hp or torque.

Not Davie 4 but ESA would allow you to enable the gauges. Hope this helps

It all depends. But there is interlock parameters in PVP

Either or. Some tests require it to be running. As for monitoring you can do it either way running or key on engine off

1517 should clear after 1 drive cycle. If not use Davie and do scr reset.

Try doing software update and see if that disables it. I’ve had a few that I’ve had to do a software update to clear it out
