I have Dominar from the very first lot and no the new ecu has not limited the top speed to 135kmph, i know owners who have touched 160 with very latest ecu files which are 117 and 118 and as per company both these updates are universal and works on both abs and non abs.
For the lacking throttle response, it just needs a new airfilter. Though the company states 15000kms as the change interval for airfilter but better to change it at 5000kms it only cost 270 bucks and it gives a new breath to the engine.
I have done over 11k kms on it and mine is from the very first lot i got he bike in first day of delivery. I am still running on ecu 116 and top speed on meter is 155 to 160ish. will get the new ecu update on my upcoming service.

Mileage is false !!! easily achievs 28 to 30 in city... been bore than 6 months since i am using

I'm getting around 26kmpl in city and 33kmpl in highways.
#motoroctane i am having the dominar from past 6 months and i am kind of aggressive rider and still i got the mileage of 23-24 in city and 28-30 on highway when riding at 100-120....there is no way that dominar can get you the mileage of 20kmpl untill you have some major fault with your bike...2nd i have the latest ecu update on my bike and it still goes till 163 (speedo indicated).

i have done over 22k with my D400, primarily on highways. It returns me a mileage of 31 kmpl. Mixed driving conditions return about 28 kmpl, if driven at higher revs than necessary.

Mine one brings about 32-35kmpl on highways riding btw80-90kmph & 28-30 kmpl on city!!

Paid Service me agar engine oil change hoga to 1300/- ka kaise aega... 1000cc+ ke engine vaali car me engine oil to dalega 4litres ...kaunsa engine oil aega 1300 me 4 litre... Apni car me sarso ka tel dalvate ho kya bhai.
Paid Service ki baat Karo.... Car and bike ko compare Kar rahe ho...kamaal hai Yar.

hey, want to know, is the mileage really 20 kmpl on city roads? all the other videos are saying it is somewhere around 28-30 kmpl on city roads. 20kmpl is a major drawback, right?

I won a dominar, top speed is more than 155, I did 155 .. and it’s latest version!
Mileage and service cost and grarbox you are talking about is wrong. Mileage is 25 in city and 30 in highway. Service cost is same almost same as 200cc. And finding neutral is not at all difficult.

My husband used to have Pulsar during college time. I suggested him to buy this bike but he has perception that Bajaj bikes start making noise after few months (he said "bajaj ki bike khadak jaati hai"). Whether this is the case with Dominar also??

I have a dominar 400. It's mileage within city is close to 25km per litre and on highway it has given me over 35km per litre when between 80 to 100 km per hour

I had multiple issues with my dominar. At first after 1 and a half year I had to change my clutch. I was getting a really heavy noise when I was engaging the first gear and most of the times it happened that even when I was pressing the clutch lever and engaging the first gear the bike would move ahead a little and give a jerk. Also when In off condition if The bike was in any gear say 2nd or 3rd I was not able to move the bike after pressing the clutch lever.
The second problem that I had was that the coolant was leaking in the engine oil chamber and on one fine when I had drove the bike for about 200 km on my way to Nagpur it suddenly went off. The bike refused to start. Luckily I was in Nagpur but I had to push the bike for 5 km which was the hardest part because its very heavy and when I reached the service station they told me that they have to open the bikes engine. And after 1 day when they opened the engine they told me the whole engine has been rusted from inside because of the coolant mixing which was a result of some gasket failure. They opened the entire engine and removed the rust also because of the oil and coolant mixing there was this greasy substance that was formed inside the engine. I got my bike repaired after 1 month. Thank god my engine was under warranty.
Bajaj has not done much effort for providing good servicing for the bike.
Overall the bike is great to drive. Have travelled a journey of 3000km in 5 days without much discomfort.

My bike giving 25km in city.
You are completely wrong about milage. I own it since September 2017 and clocked 12k kms. I am getting 27 to 28 in city and about 32 on highway.
You really need to check your milage figures.

All future prospect buyers please don't go for dominar. For reason being highly pathetic after sales service at service centers in cities like Agra. They dont have a single mechanic at service centers to deal with simple issues . Situation at bajaj is more pathetic . After registering three complaints they dont pay any heed on top of that they close the complaints every time without even consulting you once. Bike is awesome but when it comes to after sales service , it will definitely give you worst hell experience.. Please search for alternatives .
