      I have the AirPods pro and I just bought this earbuds as well, I am excited! I heard that this earbud has some serious bass which is one of the reasons I bought this product so I hope it delivers, how’s the music quality?

  • @sathishrao7926

    If you were to choose between Sennheiser Momentums and Sonys, would you choose Sonys without ambiguity? I have seen in some reviews that Sennys have the best overall Audio quality ( possibly from an Audiophile’s perspective !) even though they’re insanely expensive with poor battery life..

    • @insidetechltd
      @insidetechltd  5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      If you're asking about 'overall', then yes. I would absolutely buy the WF-1000XM3 over the Momentum Wireless. Not only are they less expensive, but they're a better earbud overall.
      Now in terms of sound quality, this one is much closer. It's a tough call, but I still gave Sony the edge for a few reasons: clarity, DSEE HX, ANC and the equaliser. It is very close though, and as always, personal preference is a huge factor!

    • @sathishrao7926
      @sathishrao7926 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      InsideTech : Great ! Sonys will be my first choice in that case.. I guess my non-audiophile ears will not be able to make out any quality difference between Sonys and Sennys !
      Currently Sennys lead Sonys by 12:3 in my ear/Headphone collection ! A new Senny would have upset the equilibrium further 😀

      Most reviewers say, if the sound quality is your number one priority, then MTW is a way to go. Overall, yes, the Sony. Only Sound Quality then Seinseiser.

    I've watched and read a ton of reviews on these while waiting for mine to arrive, and I think that your review was the most detailed that I've come across. Just thought that I would add that in a few reviews the reviewers state that sony didn't encounter any problems with water damage in a gym enviroment while doing QA testing. I'm not really sure what to make of this statement as if true why wouldn't they obtain an IP rating? additionally, as these are fairly new earbuds there isn't anything conclusive on forums in regards to gym use. As I'm going to be using mine exclusively at the gym, I'll come back and update if I have any issues.

    • @insidetechltd
      @insidetechltd  5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Thank you, that's nice to hear! Yes I would tread carefully on that subject. It is likely that they would survive a little bit of water exposure say, for example, at the gym (as most non-water resistant earphones would). But without any guarantees from Sony, they probably won't be covered under the warranty. You might be able to spend years using them at the gym everyday and never encounter a problem, but you could also break them on day 1 too.
      Thanks for taking one for the team though! Let us know how you get on!

      @juanvsreviews 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ve been using them in the Gym and the best thing about it is that it actually cuts off the outside noise very effectively with the ANC, the problem is that it’s missing something to hold them in your ear and they can easily fall off. I’ve tried several of the included tips and none work as I wanted. They do sound fantastic but I might end up returning them because they don’t work very well for what I use them.

      If I was buying TWL earbuds again I would consider the galaxy buds as they're cheaper, have a better fit and are 90% as good in regards to sound and features.

    I cannot exaggerate the bliss one feels while walking around a busy city wearing these with noise reduction on. All the stress that I used to feel from car horns, psychos, construction, and people, is gone. Should be recommended as a mental health accessory. Only issue I have with them is this extremely short cable and the fact that it doesn’t actually fit in the case.

    • @insidetechltd
      @insidetechltd  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think it's stepping in dangerous territory to start advertising a product for health reasons. It's a sensitive issue that's probably best for companies to avoid. If they happen to benefit you though that's brilliant! I personally love drowning out the outside world, particularly when travelling!

    OK had these a week now and have to say I am loving them! I could never find headphones that were loud enough and on my Iphone they're still not but I noticed a 20% increase in volume using my Ipod. In fact Green Day digitally remastered almost blew my head off and it was the first time I have ever had to lower the volume. Still trying on different bud sizes for my left ear, not sure why but for some reason the left bud slips out. Have ridden my bike, done a workout in them and just sat around and I cannot complain at all. The short beep sound when you change from sitting down to walking etc is a tad annoying but it's just a minor thing. Amazing technology and I would highly recommend these if you appreciate your music and want quality.

    Really good review easy to understand not too long and covered all the important details and features. I don't agree that water resistance is such a major issue. I do wear these at the gym and unless you are sweating profusely it is no big deal. I also wear them bike riding and they stay in unlike other products I have used. Here in Australia you have to wear a helmet when cycling so over the ear headphones are not an option. I am happy with them. They are still pricey here at $299 but compared to cheaper products the old adage of you get what you pay for is apt here. Thanks again for your review!

    I have all the different BOSE wireless and noise cancelling ear/headphones. Every time I buy Bose I have felt guilty for not trying the Sony WH-1000XM3 (because the reviews has been so good on TH-cam). So this time I bought the Sony WF-1000XM3. I used it every day while travelling and also in office while working, my experience has been very bad. While travelling on London underground or when I walk I loose connection. And this cannot be compared to any of the Bose earphones. So sadly before 14 days I have returned this. Having said that I did find the App a lot better than the Bose. I hope the Sony on-ear (WH-1000XM3) is as good as it is claimed. Need to try that one day.

    • @sergiosalazar7091

      The volume is high enough for me. In my opinion the passive and active noise canceling works good enough so you don’t need to put the volume very high. The sound is clear, with good bass. Maybe not so many “bass power” as the Beats Pro, but those are designed specially for hip-hop and I prefer jazz and soul. The equalizer works good too so you could choose between the pre-configurations, or adjust the parameters and save you own two “personal settings”. That helps to get richer bass if you want, according the music you are listening.

    Comfortable? I had those, they started hurting my ears after an hour so I had to return them. I prefer in ear buds deeper in my ear. Which the cheap Chinese QCY buds I use now do. And when they are deeper and fit snugly no noice cancelling is needed with in ear buds. Also the app was trying to push some subscription on me, which I don't care for, not one bit.

    Why is aptX so important for you? It features 354kbit/s at 16bit/48kHz. SBC features 345kbit/s at 16bit/48kHz. This is a difference of 9kbit/s, equal to around 2.5%. And LDAC (990kbit/s, 24bit/96kHz) would have used way to mouch energy for a battery this small.
    Nevertheless great detailed review!

    • @insidetechltd
      @insidetechltd  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I personally prefer it since it’s more efficient. It transfers fewer bits per sample and therefore transmits smaller files sizes. This is more battery-conserving for your device, which most people don’t really think about and there is a slightly lower latency too (even on the standard form of aptX). The encoding method is also superior in generating a better signal:noise ratio for improved sound quality, although admittedly this is quite subtle.
      As for LDAC, I agree that the benefits of it aren’t best exploited in earbuds like this - and as I said in the video, I didn’t mind missing this so much. I simply mentioned it to make it clear for viewers, since this is Sony’s own technology, it would be fair to assume that it was included here.
      That’s just my opinion on the codecs though!

    The one great thing about AirPods is that you can sing along with your music without having that plug pressure head sensation! That is why I just buy the cheap Chinese earbuds for working out and use AirPods for phone calls and commuting where absolute isolation is unnecessary! I am surprised to hear that you think the Sony’s beat out the latest Momentum wireless on Audio performance? I know the Sennheiser app is crap! You got to hand it to Sony for their most excellent feature set on their flag ship products! One more thing, I wonder if these touch controls will suffer the same touch disease as the M3 headphones do in cold weather? Thanks for a detailed, comprehensive review! Cheers… Keith

    • @insidetechltd
      @insidetechltd  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Very true! I can understand why people like AirPods for this reason, even if you don't get the same sort of isolation. Yes i'll admit, the audio quality was very close with Sennheiser - these were definitely one of my previous favourites for audio. As I said to another commenter, I just think the combination of the clarity, the DSEE HX, ANC and the equaliser gives Sony an edge.
      Yes that's a good point, i'll have to try them out this winter! I know some people complained about the M3s for this, but from my experience I think that the headphones still operated as normal under the specified conditions. The sorts of temperatures where people experienced issues were often outside of Sony's stated operating range. Of course I'm not saying that 'that makes it OK', (we want our expensive earphones be useful all year round) and this won't always be the case for everyone - I just think we also need to have realistic expectations when using a touchpad in extreme weathers. Did you personally encounter this issue yourself, or just know about it?
      Thanks for the comment again though, it's great to see some regulars on the channel and I really appreciate the support!

    • @DrummingMan1
      @DrummingMan1 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      InsideTech I understand what you’re saying and I am in Canada which does go below zero as you likely know! I do not own the Sony‘s but the reviews are in on the touch disease in cold weather and actually for when I’ve read it doesn’t have to be that cold zero and below or 32° F if that’s what you’re into anyhow for the money, you don’t expect that to be an issue cheers… Keith

    I received these as a packaged deal when I bought the Xperia 1 ii phone. I was originally going to sell them to recoup $200 or so dollars, as I'd never really needed earphones... I am SO glad my curiosity, and reviews like this had me open the box and try them for myself!
    I use them at work mostly, and am highly impressed with the noise canceling. I work with a Laser Engraving machine and liquid cooler directly behind me, as well as in areas where people use power tools.
    The ANC is amazing at blocking out nearly all of the noise. I have noticed that it's much better with music or audiobooks playing. They're not really "earplug" level of noise canceling unless you have just enough music to cover what ANC can't block.
    My favorite thing (and this isn't a feature really) is that my Co Workers tend to leave me alone when I have these in my ears. The size and color (I have the black version) means they notice and walk away; and when they don't, I can't hear them anyway! 😂
    Also, I've noticed that I don't need to pay for a TIDAL subscription, because the DSEE HX upscaling turns TH-cam Music into HiFi level sound. It's truly impressive.
    In all, I adore the little buds, and am glad I gave them a chance instead of selling them!

    Just bought these and they look just as nice as in your cinematic shots. I really didn't think it was gonna look *that* good but it does. If they're deep enough in your ear you will hear barely a thing with NC on. I did have problems with stutter in the city but after switching the connection to "prioritize connection over sound quality" it was fine. That was a bit odd bc the WH-1000XM2 headphones did not have that problem but on the plus side I personally didn't notice a difference in sound quality but I stream music and don't listen to high res files.

      I've been binge watching thousands of reviews and videos and going on reddit and from my research the only two that are worth considering are these sony's or the sennheiser momentum's. Both have big pro's and cons. So it's hard recommending one over the other. Sony just announced their new lineup of their truly wireless earbuds and they come in various colors and probably not sure but probably sweat and water resistance to some degree but be aware as i heard they are going to be $350 which is pretty much a no for me. If you don't care about sound quality then head on over to amazon and get you a soundpeats or jlabs for $30-50 and hope those last longer than a year. The only other ones i am about to pull the trigger on are these aftershockz aeropex bone conduction headphones. Actually fuck it i'm going to just buy those. They aren't for everyone but if you ride bicycles, jog or need to be aware of your sorroundings while listening to music then bone conduction are perfect. Me i drive for uber and i ride electric skateboards so i need to listen to passengers and traffic at all times while i am in transit so they work for me. Oh and people wear them all day because they don't go in your ear. Studies show you can learn a language under a year with bone conduction as well so theres a lot of great stuff on the tech, Deaf people can listen to music too because it doesnt pass sound through your ears but it goes through your bones!

      @insidetechltd  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      If you really care about audio quality, there is a big difference between the Sony earbuds and Galaxy Buds. Obviously the Galaxy Buds have better compatibility with your Samsung phone, so you’ll have some exclusive features - they’re also lighter and more comfortable. But the WF-1000XM3 are still comfortable themselves and have much better audio quality (and a lot of great extra features too).
      If you’re not an audiophile, the price difference probably isn’t worth it - it’s almost £100 difference. But if you’re a stickler for audio, it’s worth it

    Honest to god, the Sony WF-1000XM3 is biggest sham active noise cancelling I've ever come across. I tested 2 units with the app. It's easy to say that they noise cancel between the ambient 20 setting to noise cancelling on setting. But if you're really honest, between putting the earbuds on and off with noise cancelling fully on, it doesn't do a bloody thing. It's actually amplifying the sound when it's using the ambient modes. I cannot comprehend anyone didn't check that. and they're fit in and here is terrible compared to other units I've used, in particular the Jabra 65t and 75t. I wish Jabra made an active noise cancelling earbuds. I actually think that would be much better than these absolutely appalling earbuds that's only want to say are active noise cancelling. Honestly, that was a pretty big douche move on Sony's part, especially considering how much these cost and how many other, much, MUCH cheaper earbuds have been offering the same for just as long (if not longer) than when these came out. Otherwise, as I write this, these are probably the best wireless ANC earbuds available.

    I have the Sony WF-1000XM3 and they feel bulky to wear and I couldn't wear them for long. Also they don't offer any sweat or water resistance. What's the point of long battery life when you can't wear them for long as they hurt your ears? So i purchased Sennheiser Moment True Wireless, they easily offer far better music quality (for the true audiophile) even though they don't have as good noise cancelation, they are louder and splash proof, the equaliser is great too, importantly that don't look and feel bulky in your ears, they feel and look great in your ears. I'm sorry, your reply got caught in the filter because of the external link!
      I have conducted full testing with a MacBook and they work absolutely fine! Touch gestures are supported too (application-dependent though, of course). I'll have to get back to you on full PC testing though, and by the looks of it i'll keep my eyes open for firmware updates too!

    I just picked these up and 3 days later returned them ! Very uncomfortable , and too much time wasted with tap technology because they are so sensitive , so a lot of adjusting . They are heavy in your ears and hurt inside after 20 minutes . I really tried to like them .... but just no point !
    I wound up buying 1more triple Drive earbuds !

      Fair enough, and I agree they are quite heavy. At least you tried them, hopefully the 1More earbuds will be much better!

      That seems unusually low - I would definitely reach out to Sony for help with this. Check to make sure you're updated to the latest firmware and see if you still have issues first!

    Hey! I was wondering if after using them I should put them into the case or not. Won't that be a problem? I imagine a situation where a change it fully. Use for another hour and put in back in the case and will charge again. I'm not sure it is good. Can anyone help me out?

    • @insidetechltd

      No, it’s not a problem. They’re designed to be used like that! Just put them back in the case for convenience sake 👍🏼

    just had these wf1000mx3s and was very disappointed. yes great sound for ear buds, noice cancelling great but unfortunate not being able to have all the options available and with a volume control sucks. either i have all my controls for music on one ear and then the other hac volume control or all the music controls on one ear with noise cancelling on the other ear but you dont have volume control. that is the reason i returned mine. i like nc and control of nc while playing music and changing volume depending on those certain louder songs and the wh1000ms cant do that. if id known in advance i cant have volume control and noise cancel on ear together i would never have bought them. dont get me wrong if you like noise cancel on all time or off all time youll be fine but its a deal breaker for me.
    Looks like ill stick with a new wh1000m4 if sony make them working on ps4 and 5 otherwise ill try a different brand. sorry but 250 pounds uk for a top sony headset yet the sony ps4 doesn't allow them to work wireless is a joke.

    • @insidetechltd
      @insidetechltd  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ah i'm sorry you didn't like them. You're totally right about the PS4 / PS5 compatibility though. Sony are pretty much the market leaders for wireless headphones and we still can't connect to the console without a dongle...

    Why is everyone always comparing to airpods when everyone know that they're shit. The only reason they are selling considering the price are apple fanboys and fangirls...

      Knugen 420 maybe it's because AirPods are the biggest selling true wireless earbuds in the world and the majority of people (including you and others who are not fans of apple) know of them.This makes them the ideal starting point for a comparrison.

    I have my earbuds connnected to an android, and when i touch and hold, google assistant asks to finish the earbuds. Am i doing something wrong?

      What do you mean by asks to “finish” the earbuds?

    • @guy-fz6wz
      @guy-fz6wz 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      whenever i touch and hold, google assistant turns on and asks to finish setting up the device

    • @insidetechltd
      @insidetechltd  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's hard to really determine the exact issue without seeing it first hand. Have you tried googling some assistant setup tutorials? You normally only need to set up the assistant once and then the earbuds should work fine after that first time. I can only assume that a step is missing from your first set up and that's why it's asking you to finish it.
      I'm sorry I can't help any more than that!

    I jus wondering, will it make the battery broke easily if they continously charging?

    • @insidetechltd
      @insidetechltd  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I don't think so. Obviously you'll see some drop in battery performance after many months/usage. But they're designed to work in this way, (like most batteries nowadays). They'll stop charging once they're full too.
