Ok, I literally bought the medium rivots and #10 washers. These rivots do not hold on to these #10 washers. I’m gonna try the large today. But I found brown molding instead of white at lowes! Thanks for the great idea’s!!
Some people use a finer finishing blade. I personally make sure I'm using a sharp blade and take my time. Dull blades create heat and that will gum up the teeth.
I use my table saw with the regular blade for ripping, with the blade lowered way down so it just cuts through the acrylic sheet. The blade is not flipped backwards for this. This method has worked great for me. One could hit the cut edge and also the drill holes with a soldering torch a but as an added measure to prevent future cracking, though mine (made with Lexan) have held up well without any torch heating.
@@UncleBucks I love the price of the 4x8 sheet from home depot. Its about $150-160 last I checked for .177". I can get 4-12x36 and 10-12×24 out of a sheet. Add in the trim and hinges its hard to beat for ~$20/window.
And those windows are hard to open and noisy while opening. $50-60 each, really? I made my own tall narrow archery blind swinging archery blind windows using scrap acrylic sheeting. and scrap 2x4 lumber. Had to buy some hinges was all. Took about 5 hours with only a table saw. Made one slider type window to allow for controlling the air when my heater is on in the blind. Good video here
So I was getting all geard up to see maybe, a great idea on a window system for a box blind but instead I was informed rather poorly on how to install a hinge on a piece of lexan material. Kind of a bad video and nothing to do with box blind windows. Honestly sorry for the bad review but most guys that have any ingenuity at all and have managed to build a box blind already probably no how to install a simple hinge. Actually lexan material is not that durable of a material and not that desirable for most applications.

Thank You Sir! I like how neat you have attached the hinges!👍🇺🇸 Is there a special blade needed to cut lexan?

How does a 36" piece of glass fit into a 35" hole? 🙃
Awesome thx

Honesty is important. Thank you. I did a second video on how I install them with garage door weatherstripping to seal them.
Wahoo!
You lost me when you said hinges. Just make them slide to the side. It's easier to hunt when they can be moved out of the way.
Yeah until you get water in the track and it freezes 🥶 then you're sitting in your blind looking like a fool
@@brandonyoung7760 Hunting deep south Texas, I don't seem to have that problem too often.
