Glad you had a very nice adventure trying those local food. I know lots of Chinese food but I definately don't know those. Specially the sweet rice wine thing. We do have a sweet rice wine here locally. It's called 'Tapai' in Kadazan Dusun language. They will soon be celebrating and drinking it from a bamboo straw from a clay vessel this end of month as it is their harvest festival.
