Pogačar is a machine, that's a fact.... But the real winner of Stage 5 is Roglič !!!!!! His body is completely destroyed after the fall, but he fights like a true warrior !!!!! This man always has bad luck in his career but he fights like a lion over and over again he never gives up and is always correct and fair a true sports idol....I hope he can fight for second place, the first is already reserved for the second Slovenian :) ..
Good to see Roglic putting in a great performance despite the crashes he has been involved in. I believe he probably could have done better if he wasn't carrying those injuries. Another great performance by Pogacar!! He really is a beast in the individual time trials.
I was so stressful to see what happens in the end! Man, just few seconds were between van der Poel and Pogi. What a great fight it was! They both killed the stage! Recalled me the last 2020 time-trial when Pogi robbed the yellow jersey from Roglic in the last opportunity!
This generation of riders are going to do AMAZING things. Yup, call me naive, but think about it. They're Gen X kids, they've been trained in marginal gains their entire lives. They're gonna be so fun to watch 😁🤩
This new generation of riders is ready to take over! Van Der Poel in that last kilometer grimacing and gaping brought back memories of Bjarne Riis in '96 (hopefully without PEDs). I don't know much about VDP's climbing abilities, but really hope he can hold on to that yellow jersey for as long as possible. Excited for this year's Tour, like I haven't been in years ...
He will not hold on to that yellow jersey in the mountains because he wants to save his strengths for Olympic Games where he wants to win gold with the mountain bike! I predict that he will quit Tour de France after Saturday.
@@fodiographer Thanks for sharing - interesting prediction. I hope he miraculously holds on to the jersey on the 15 kms descent on Saturday. Sunday might be too much of a stretch for his young legs. Hopefully, he doesn't quit. The experience gained in the second and third weeks of the Tour could be key to his development. He is exciting to watch and has gained many fans. I will certainly tune it to the cyclocross Olympics event.
@@mehdiazeriah He'll leave. This tour serves as a good warm up for the olympics to him.( his own words) and his goal was to win a stage and wear the yellow jersey. The olympics are much more important to him. To win gold there has been his biggest aim for years.
The young generation of riders are simply breathtakingly good, aren't they? Incredible stuff. I do want to give a shout out to the commentary team on SBS (Matthew Keenan, Robbie McEwen & Dr Bridie O’Donnell) who are doing a really great job this year, their interactions are enjoyable to listen to & they really bounce well off one another. I hope SBS keeps this commentary trio together for the following years & classics like the Giro, Vuelta and classics - if they can get those.

Pogacar is made of something else, climbs so well and still wins TT's on flat courses
It wasn't really that flat right? there were some sectors up to 8% if I'm not mistaken

Well said.
Must be his diet and exercise regime
Very much a feeling that we are seeing in this year's Tour a cetrain 'changing of the guard' - a new generation of riders coming through.
I think the Tour de France video editors could help out the Giro d'Italia highlight videos haha. These are really superbly done.
Well, they're certainly very "cinematic". As to being highly informative, I'm not so sure :)
@@PetrSedlacek they are perfectly informative, with rankings and podium, unlike Giro's highlights
@@PetrSedlacek Lol at least they show not just the overall standings but also points classifications etc at the end of the clips.

Great job by Jonas Vingegaard and the other Danes 🇩🇰 5 guys in the top 17!

That was almost as dramatic as when Greg LeMond won.

Nice highlights.
Try to show next stage preview please.

Alaphilippe must have stayed up all night getting hammered with Cavendish. 🍻

frustrating to know van der poel will drop out, because of MTB olympics.
why is it in my recommendation I don't even have a bike

No penalty for Pogacar jumping the start? Officials should've said something.
