When the mother start tell about something happen between her daughter and her dogs, she's look like don't care about Jungyeon. I really can't imagine that. The mother is using the dogs to replace her husband at the expense of her daughter, which is wrong and not fair to her daughter. She needs some kind of psychological help to put her life back into the right perspective.

I don't like the first case. That "mom" is too much. She blamed the poor little girl and made her cry, making her feeling sorry for some petty things. A mom should know that her kids (mostly at that age) loves her as she is the only parents around her daughter can rely on. That woman doesn't deserve to be called a mother in my opinion. She seemed too childish. I even wanted the actress to take the little girl with her like ... she deserve better than that. "Less than the dogs" Ah it's So frustrating watching this.

The daughter is so sweet and understanding. If it was me, I would just stomp out of the house. The mom needs to cherish her 100x more.
Despite this concern being so despicable- i seriously think the woman, for i refuse to call her the lovely kid's mother, is sick and should be checked by a doctor- and infuriating, i am so satisfied with everyone's response and how outraged they are with how the poor kid was treated. This is serious concern that needs to be looked at by professionals. This will affect the kid's future, that's for sure.
Look, I am by no means, defending the woman or saying that she did the right thing, but calling her "despicable" or "checked by the doctor" just because she failed to understand her daughter's mental condition and prioritized her dogs more is too much. Do you know that there is a Mexican mother who let her 10 year old daughter get drugged, raped and killed by her own boyfriend and also admitted she liked it?
Yes. This is true and you can look it up. That is the meaning of despicable and pure "evil" and people like that exists. Compared to that, this mom is a saint.
That being said, the mom has some issues that she needs to figure out. I also love dogs and cats but not to that extreme that I will alienate any human relationships. They are excellent companions but they can't fix all of my problems and it will be ridiculous for me to expect that. My point is, neither party did well. But the girl is still a child and doesn't understand the reasons or the depths of her mom's afflictions, but I think after this, she became aware of what her mom was going through too. Plus the mom now got a good idea on what her daughter is feeling, and that she is crossing the line between love and obsession which is not healthy at all either for the dogs or the girl. I hope this helped them to find a platform and compromise for showing love and respect for each other.
i never called the mother despicable, nor have i called her evil. What i described as despicable is the situation that the kid is in because of how she is neglected by the mother in favor of her dogs. I have to concede that the wprd despicable is strong but i stand by my original comment that she, and the kid, needs to be checked by a doctor, a professional. This, her obsession and prioritization of pets over he own daughter, is serious and is obviously causing them both a lot of mental and emotional hurt. If they see a professional, it will be addressed and even rehabilitated. there is nothing wrong with going to a doctor.
also, i am also not comparing her to the mom in mexico that you mentioned. That is just, for me, a reaching tangent. That is that and this is this. This is about a parental neglect and that is a crime. There is no saint or evil in both situations. Both are humans who have chosen different paths and made polar decisions that both lead to something that imade an impact, not just on their lives, but the lives of those they are connected with.
I do hope, though, that the mom from mexico and her accomplice got convicted
that mother reminded me of the crazy host family i had while on exchange.. doesnt want to hear it, doesnt want to be wrong, unapologetic and certainly playing off something serious as something that is not.......theres no talking with them or reasoning with them.....i hate these kinds of people >:(

This woman is so wrong and inconsistent. She keeps saying she can't discipline the dogs because they're babies, 2 and 7 are not babies for dogs, 2 is fully grown and 7 is starting to get on the old side! Then she keeps so "Oh, I need to train my daughter" but refuses to discipline her dogs to not bite her daughter!
This is despicable, she's turned it around on her daughter and made her cry! This is in no way the daughters fault, no matter how "abandoned" the mother feels that doesn't make it acceptable to treat your child like a dog and your dogs like your children.
Can't imagine how hurt the daughter must feel... Typically on national TV even the worst parents will at least pretend to be nicer than what they are usually like, but here this mother is completely oblivious to her daughter's suffering and continues to show affection to the dogs...
The mom is a NUT case, who loves her pets more then her daughter. That little girl is unloved and un-cared for. Someone should step in and remove the child from this mental mother. I mean, I love pets too, but not before my flesh and blood. There are some crazy people out there in this evil world. The mother belongs on Dr. Phil's show!

There should be balance. My mom absolutely loves dogs - we have 3 beautiful dogs- but she never neglects her real children either. She spends a lot on money for our dogs, but she also makes sure that my sister and I aren't lacking in anything. this is sad, especially for the little girl :( She's going to grow up feeling inferior, and that's not okay.

It's okay to love and treat your dog(s) like family but at the same time, she's treating her own daughter like garbage. My parents were never vocally nor physically affectionate either (yes, we are /that/ Asian family) so I can understand how the mom felt. B u t. My mom, in recent years, took the first step to start saying like I love you and stuff like that and my bond w my parents is gradually strengthening. I think this mom needs to take the first step, even though it's hard, to really communicate with her daughter so neither of them feel neglected.

The way she's raised the dogs they think they're higher in the pack structure than the daughter. It's why they challenge her if she makes eye contact and bite her if she comes too close. That's very dangerous.
I'm just curious, but is it possible that the daughter reminds the mother of the father, so that she unintentionally does not care about the daughter as much as she does with the dogs? If it is, and further fuelled with the mother's "trauma" of being left alone and the feeling that "the dogs care about her more than her daughter" back then develops into her caring about the dogs like her children and care less about the daughter, just like "another person" sharing the same house, or that she believe that her daughter could survive with minimal care like how she was treated back then. Regardless, I still think that she had neither realized nor understood that she treats and loves the dogs more than her daughter, and it is not what a normal mother would do. Regardless, I think the daughter is quite mature and sweet despite all of it. I wonder, after the dogs died later, what would the mother do, will she love the daughter more or will she look for another thing to give her affection to? If she does not love her daughter more by then, then maybe my first question would prove to be right or maybe because of the mother's trauma of her childhood [feeling like NO HUMAN truly cares about her, even her daughter] or those, combined with other things. All of these are my theories and I just felt like sharing to others and I do curious if any of it might be true. Regardless, I do hope for the best for both of them and wish that finally the daughter will be the MAIN SUBJECT of the mother's love and affection as how it's supposed to be.

I think there were a lot of miscommunication from both sides: the kid and the mom.
As an animal and dog lover I will say dogs don't deserve any less dignity or love from a human but to neglect a child like that, that you brought in this earth, that you have a responsibility for is just cruel. Maybe the girl was not entirely perceptive of her mother's affection but she is a child and not the adult. She doesn't understand and it's her mom's job to make her understand. I hope the mom finds a steady balance between loving the dogs and her child. And also that the girl can adjust with the dogs better.

When i say a dog doesn't deserve any less love or dignity, I mean they don't deserve to be treated like objects or second class citizens just because they do not possess the higher brain structure that a human has. They have a lot of shortcomings compared to humans but that does not mean they do not have any cognitive ability and emotions. This has been proven scientifically. I know very well you will disagree but we will just have to agree to disagree.
yes, I am fully aware that they are animals and is not subjected to the same rights or treatments that humans get, simply because they don't need it. But when people like us who loves animals adopt a dog or a cat, we treat them like our own family member. Family members who walk in 4 feet and covered in fur but part of a family who is valued equally in terms of love and affection. Not a piece of machinery that you throw away once it has outlived its usage. This is what I meant by not showing any less love or dignity.
THIS is a rare case where I can safely say the woman is more obsessed with the dogs than loving them. Loving them doesn't mean spoiling them but doing whats best for who or what you love. The child has done nothing grossly incriminating for her mother to treat her like this. It is a very complicated messed up situation which can happen when you don't communicate enough with your child. The woman needs some medical help, to sort out her issues because her "love" for the dogs is stemming on from something unhealthy. This is harmful for her and for the girl who will have severe mental issues as she will feel lonely and isolated and grow up hating dogs or animals. And God knows that there are enough haters that is!

So the mom's lonely without anyone and the daughter expect moms to give unconditional love whenever she needs it as when she isn't with her friends and feels like it. I'm not saying that isn't normal for kids, that's how it is but this mom's a bit different. She loves whoever needs her and be there for her, not really the type to give their kid's unconditional love. The dogs are always there for her so that's why she's more biased toward them and give them more love.

I cried with her 😭 bc i feel I'm doing the same to my parents since puberty is starting to kick in. I never knew that I'd be the type to brush off my parents to be with friends or stay locked in my room. Watching this made me know what I was doing and I feel completely horrible about it.
I can see why she [the daughter] feels this way, but I think it is sort of like a sibling mentality like how siblings feel when they think other siblings are more loved get more attention. Especially if she isn't even receptive of her mother's love and embrace..that's sad and I can see why she would like the dogs if they love her back and she spends more time with them. Although on the other hand, I do think this lady is a little over the top with her dogs if her daughters around but I can see why she would love them, she had trauma with her husband and dogs are less judgemental and less demanding (most of the time). Maybe she also loves animals more than humans, and I hate to say this, but maybe she is a woman who didn't want children but was pressured into having them by family. I think deep down, she does care for her daughter though. She isn't good at socialising and training her dogs though if they bite people, especially family members..especially not wanting to scold them..dogs are trained through scolding and rewarding, not scolding creates problem pets, people often fall into that trap because their pets are cute and they can't bear to scold them.

At the beginning I thought the girl was just exaggerating but turned out the concern wasn't that simple. I feel bad for her, but I understand the mother as well. Her mother didn't receive much love from her mother so she couldn't express her feelings easily, I think she feels weird to express her love for her daughter, that's why her mother express more to her dogs because it's easier. I'm in that kind of situation right now. My parents can't express their love to their children because they've been raised without receiving much love from their parents as well. My dad is the oldest, since he was little he had to help his parents to work an he couldn't go to the university, but his younger siblings could. My mom is the 2nd oldest out of 6 children. Because her parents had so many children to take care of, my mom used to live with her grandma when she was only 2 years old, and when she got a little bit older she stayed with her uncle. They still can't express much to their children until now, and their children can't do the same either. I'm afraid if this thing will keep going on, the same thing will happen again to her kids and eventually it will keep going on for generations. A little suggestion for the mother, now is the time before her daughter reaches the puberty. Because once she reaches the puberty, it will be hard to change. I wish for the best for them.

her mol dying early has nothing to do with how she treats her daughter like a fucking wild animal. my mother grew up without a father and her grandma died when my mom was 9. my mom is the best woman in the world in my eyes.
she even talkes about her daughter making her seaweed soup on her birthday, but the dogs won't even know its her birthday, let alone do anything for her.
a dog is practically 7 years old in human life when they are 1 years old in dog life. so Miso, is technically 49 years old, and Sarang is 14 years old and the girl is only 13 years old and she expect her to be 'noona' and be nice? like woman miso is probably gonna die in a few years and sarang at most 10 years but you can watch your daughter as she grow up but you pushed her away for your dogs. and when they die and only your daughter is left, she would just leave you. That is true separation. if you cherish the dogs and the daughter the same, the worst would never happen.
