    Thanks for the demo! I have a Gibson Les Paul modern that I absolutely love to play, however cannot get the right tone to play with our praise team. I'm so frustrated that I haven't played the electric at church in over a year. Looks like for praise music, the burst buckers are simply to harsh of a tone, especially on the neck pickup. The "Crema" pickups really clean the up the tone. The burst buckers sounds great playing harder rock, like AC/DC, but not well suited for light rock praise music. Or, could mean I just dont' know what I'm doing!

    I put a set of these in my ES-335 style guitar and it completely transformed what I am able to do with it. So in love with them. Also grabbed a set of the Grinders to put in my T-Deluxe style guitar and that thing just SINGS. A bouquet of tone.

      That’s awesome! Sounds like a great setup. I’m really happy with them too.

    I'm confused - in some shots you say it is on the Gibson Bridge but your switch is showing the Neck position, and other is says Gibson Neck but your switch is on the Bridge? Otherwise great demo! I'm currently waiting on getting my Epi back from the shop - having a Crema/Grinder combo put in it and can't wait to try it out!

    • @tycaskey
      @tycaskey  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yeah the switch is reversed on the Gibson pickups. Sorry I know it looks a little confusing, I put it back to normal after installing the lambertones.

    EQ pedal and you have all pickups in the world..

    No comparison. The Lambertones are on another level. I want to put one in my Suhr strat to go with my Lollar Blonde's in the neck & middle. They will probably balance: Volume-wise???

    I have a set of these in an HH Strat and at one point considered putting them in an LP. I may still. Anyway, did you keep the standard wiring or did you change around the electronics at all with the Crema install? Thanks for the demo! Great stuff!

    • @tycaskey
      @tycaskey  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nice! I actually switched it out with a new harness from 920 D custom. Thanks!

    • @mwc2112
      @mwc2112 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks! The HH Strat basically has an LP harness from 920D... just single volume. 3-way switch and push/pull on both the tone knobs for coil splitting. I could easily add another volume pot and have the same harness for the LP I think.

    Mixed feelings on these pups. They sound very mid scooped so while they are bright I feel they will get lost in the mix. Thats my first impression, has that been your experience? Thanks for the video, very informative

    • @tycaskey
      @tycaskey  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hey! I’ve actually had the opposite experience. The guitar sits really well in the mix, especially compared to the stock pickups. Much of how it sits is attributed to eq as well. All to say, I’m super pleased with how these pickups sound. Thanks for the feedback!

      @zacharykim295 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@zacharykim295 I haven’t tried the Lollars, but I’ve heard that they are very similar. I have lollars in my tele and they sound incredible. I think both companies make great sounding pickups.
