It’s not difficult I did it without the video and just discovered it. I have a LC 100 1998. if the car is black no need for paint. Also if you are not going to use the bumper again you can just unscrew it from bottom on LC and quickly remove it without having to take any lights or gram off from top. The pins from top are plastic and won’t matter if you rip them out. Overall great look on LC not so much on the Lexus to be honest. I would rewire on LC for the lights. Instructions are garbage except this video. Would have saved me some time had I searched it up. Also if you never done anything handy do not try this have a friend or someone help you who knows what they are doing trust me just trying to save you some time. He makes it look easy because he has installed thousands of these. Also on an LC from the 90’s expect nothing to unscrew easily. I had to use torch and penetrating oil on every screw so be prepared for agony and that’s why I said have someone that knows what they doing if you have not done it before. Also must have impact wrench to not mess up the screws.

Would my factory toyota torsion bars be strong enough to support the bumper? If so, do I need to reindex them since I'm already cranked 2 inches upfront?

You probably get asked often but are the plans to offer a classic bumper for the 4th generation 4Runner?

If one was feeling ambitious and wanting to do a science project, one could modify and fit the BBCD008 to a '06-09 4Runner. It was too much customization to get it to fit that we did not want to actively sell it as such. If you look at the thumbnail image for any of our Offroad Workshop videos on our TH-cam channel you can see what it looks like on a 2008 4th gen Sport Edition. Because the 6th Gen 4Runner is right around the corner we are gearing up for that, so nothing for the older 4th gen on the map.

Also This video is not the most helpful hanging the bumper has no instructions to what screws…. Nor does he demonstrate how many and where to screw them in for a beginner it can be quit intimidating despite that it’s self explanatory.
