Johnny Torrio: The Chicago mob boss who left his criminal empire to Al Capone!

One of the leading mobsters in early 20th Century America.
Johnny Torrio’s rise would see him become the leader of the Chicago Outfit, which introduced mobsters such as Frankie Yale and the infamous Al Capone.
Torrio’s cunning and brains for business would also see him become respected by leading gangsters Charles Lucky Luciano and Meyer Lansky, where together they would form the National Crime Syndicate which connected gangs of various ethnicities to help end wars on the streets.
Things would soon go downhill for Torrio though after his partnership with Irish gangster Dean O’banion would escalate into a war. Leading to Torrio getting shot and fleeing Chicago, with Al Capone talking over his criminal empire.
So what was life like for one of history’s most famous mobsters?

I’d wait on him. So many more lesser known guys that are super interesting. You could do Paul Kelly who was like Torio’s mentor.
Though I suppose Capone would be more popular.
