I love that you’re not letting yourself feel like reading is a chore or a competition because it should never feel that way! I’ve been having horrible mental health days recently but trying to pull myself out of it and hearing you talk about it makes me feel less alone since a lot of people online don’t talk about stuff like that. currently rewatching this video again after getting to chapter 3 of fourth wing ❤️ you definitely motivated me to finally start reading it! and although i’m only on chapter 3 i am already obsessed with the book 😅
Also fourth wing is my first fantasy too except for Harry Potter😄 I found it a bit confusing at the start but I’m deffo enjoying the depth and magic of it
I quite literally always use ambiance when I read. It blocks out background noise, and there are even cute asmr ones on youtube with pretty backgrounds XD

Honestly I mostly read when they’re like asleep or occupied because I can’t focus enough on the words when I’m also paying attention to them!! Lol I’m a night owl so I stay up late reading a lot (:

There are definitely parts of the writing that feel more aimed towards a female audience, BUT my husband mark is reading it and LOVING it so far!! So guys can definitely read it in my opinion!! (:
