I'd like a Grace guide as I happen to have her, and Solider 11. Also would a team of Soilder 11, Grace, and Ben be worth using over Mono Fire, or should I level Lucy?
I remember reading “attack at the right moment” in her tutorial stage and being like wow hoyo really has a way with words, can’t wait to see a tutorial for this game’s abyss to just tell me to “get good”
Yeah, yet for some reason it actually felt pretty intuitive. Like, it just feels intuitive that “yeah basically there is a sweet spot somewhere near the end of the animation of every hit idk just go figure”
Completely unrelated, but for Lucy’s EX Special, holding it until the bat glows makes it curve. So in S11 Ben Lucy, you can finish a chain attack with Lucy, follow up with hold EX and wait until the bat glows. Because Lucy finished the chain attack, this allows S11 to be called in via an assist attack. So you can trigger the assist attack and slide into the boss with S11 before Lucy finishes her curved shot. This means while the ball is flying high, your S11 is already in position and swinging with normals. You can then wait for the ball to land and pop ult or Ex or something.
Glad Guoba was here to release a guide since I got S11 as my first 5 star and the in-game guide wasn't really clear on how to trigger her fire attacks. Thanks as always!
Fun Fact: With Soldier 11, if you dash and then hold the dash key, you can block missiles and gun fire from something like a Guardian Mk II. It also works against ethereal projectiles as well.

I use her with Koleda and Lucy. I start with Koleda to get the stun and switch to Lucy for the buff, then S11 comes in with fire suppression already active to clean house. Lot of fun and you really never have to worry about perfect timing 😅 This is the first guide I've seen that actually explained when to attack for perfect timing tho, so thanks for that. Subscribing so I dont miss your future guides.

I got Soldier 11 from my beginner guarantee and I'm so glad since fire is my favourite DMG type in games. I've used her in both a hyper carry team and an anomaly team with Piper and both have been a ton of fun so far. Personally I prefer to play her with Piper for the big AOE anomaly procs, but that will probably change depending on what characters land on my account.
Great guide, Guoben! Soldier 11 was my 50 pull S rank, and then I got Koleda in the next 10 pull (pretty sure I just expended all of my luck for ZZZ 😂). Her flaming basics and how to trigger them remind me of Nero's Exceeds in DMC4 and 5 🔥

Gotta say, having her activate her empowered autos by using EX Special or Ultimate is a godsend for people with shitty PCs like me, the game doesn't run at a stable frame rate so it's even harder to time the attacks, though I manage to get them from time to time.
Can I maybe recommend you discussing the skill enhancement of characters better? Such as showing on the screen the skill enhancement page and discussing priorities on what to enhance first. Although I suppose early game may not have unlocked everything yet so maybe in the future. Appreciate the vid though. Thank u
Got her twice on the standard banner. I was actually hoping that it was something like Lycon instead of another copy of her, but she carried my 2nd team in Shiyu Defense, so that's okay I guess
I was so incredibly happy when I got her. Power house for sure. With the proper resona I rip through hollows. I have her, Grace, and Anby as my team so far. Just hoping to get Kolada! This game has no disappointed me yet.
So, I wont be pissed too much for having M2W0 Soldier 11. The gacha lords seems to say just build a fire team since i got M0W1 Koleda on standard. Thanks Guoba for the usual excellent guides!
Funny thing about Piper, Lucy team for soldier is that it doesn't really lack stunning capabilities. If you plan the anomalies correctly you'll stun enemies because of assault secondary effect which increases Daze values. You start inflicting burn anomaly but stop when it's near full then proceed to trigger physical anomaly using piper. Once assault procs the enemy will most likely have a half-full stun bar (unless bosses) which piper can easily finish because somehow piper has really great daze values. The chain/assist attacks from Lucy and Soldier 11 from that point on will easily proc burn anomaly and thus procing Disorder. Of course dedicated stunners are still better at stunning but the damage trade off for a little less powerful stunning is nice. This is from my playtesting experience I do not know how well will anomaly/disorder dmg will scale to late game.
i really like this game and its little details in diff normal/charge/skill charge etc. compared to genshin where its all about mostly learning rotation and squeezing in some normal/charge depending on character n team rotation. this game is really so good if u really dont mash and take ur time to lab the character/assist etc. feels abit like old marvel vs capcom but lite version gacha game.
Soldier 11 + Lucy is so much fun. And I love the Rocketboo that goes with this team. I ran Piper at first because I thought she went with Lucy and didn't know better but now playing with Ben and he's fantastic. But cool to see S11 + Lucy + Piper is a thing.
If you’ve played monster hunter you’ll understand how her basic attack timing works if you’ve played Final Rush Sword and Shield. Swing when her sword ends up behind her and you’re golden.
For S11/PIPER/LUCY you have to play it depending on S11 remaining special and Ult. If she's spent everything you can switch to Piper and go for at least double assault in one EX special and switch to lucy+S11 for another application of Burn+Disorder. damage goes wild.
The Piper set is fun but definitely complicated. You basically have to swap who the main dps is on the fly based on situation. Assault proc from Piper gives better daze so its a pseudo stun rotation so you basically run Lucy and S11 as burn application and explode it with Piper for Assault and Disorder as main damage UNTIL you get them almost stunned, then leave the Burn proc on and use Soldier 11 like normal during the stun window. Getting it to line up effectively between stun windows is the rough part as you don't want to always pop Disorder when you need the Burn for S11, but you have to rotate Piper in every so often to keep her power stacks up for her teamwide buff. But when it lines up, its awesome. Soldier can shred during stun phase when she has both Lucy's atk% buff and Piper's DMG% buff.
I rerolled 3 times for her but no luck, stuck with the acc that got me lycoan and today upon reaching 76 pulls on standard banner, SHE GRACED ME WITH HER PRESENCE ❤❤

She was my first pull. Honestly, I kinda wanted Grace, but after Grace she's probably my favourite S-Rank Pick so far. And I do really like her Timing Based Gameplay. Not yet as skilled with the timing as I'd wish I was, but I'll get there. Also got the MH World Sword and Shield perfect Combo down eventually, lol. My only real issue with her, is that she technically doesn't work with Anby. I LOVE Anby. So I really wanna get Grace eventually, so I can stop forcing Anby in place of Ben, and just have a S11-Lucy-Ben Team and a Grace-Anby-(4 star electro dude or another stun char, not sure yet) Team.

But when she keeps denying me THE VERY ONE I want the most, it gets kinda frustrating
Huge tip for timing her basics to trigger fire suppression: There is a sound effect that is unique to each attack, if you NA (normal attack) at the end of each sound effect, you'll nail the attacks. The first attack's sound is just a sword clang, the second attacks sound is a wind-like "whoosh", and the 3rd attack has a whip crack sound effect. Credit to MyBed Ch. for the info, he was the one who figured this out.
it took me like a week before i realized soldier 11 doesn't just have 100% pyro infused attacks because i was just naturally timing them. i was curious about her M4 and checked out the video, i really like playing her and want it so stuff stops interrupting the combo.
I can't believe that it was this video that made me realize there IS the option to switch to the left/previous teammate Idk why they never say that that's something you could do in the tutorial, and why it never has a default binding I guess either C or Left Shift is neat for that
Can't decide if I'm going to do Lucy or Ben with my S11 & Koleda. The Koleda Ben combo is just so fun to watch. Hopefully we get more fun interactions like them.

I didn't even know she had to time her basic attacks, i just thought she had to use her EX, ultimate, or perfect dodge to activate it so i was just spamming the whole time 😂
man I just lost 50/50 to solider 11 but I am not unhappy tho that means my jane doe is guaranteed well not even sure if I can save up that much till she comes out
I don't think I'd have enjoyed ZZZ as much as I have if I didn't have S11. She's hard to get used to but once I learned the Fire Suppression, and especially after I got Lucy, she completely changed. Very reliable Fire DPS, especially because I got her weapon on the standard banner 💀 (I wanted doggo) I actually to try and see if Ben is good teammate since he's kinda half stun/half support. Also she has a high potential of getting teammates that compliment her so there's that.
honestly, if it wasn't for S11 I'd have droped the game, she really made me feel like I was in control of the game, timing my hits instead of just spamming attacks, and that led me to learn more about the combat system, which made me enjoy the other characters aswell
I wasn’t really interested in her design wise but after trying her out in the companion quest she quickly became one of my favorites! Hopefully I can get her soon
im running the lucy piper soldier team and i gotta say its really good as most of the time piper gets assault way faster than fire thus not overriding the 28% cr
as someone who just want to button mashing and get S11 as his first S rank agent i legit laugh at myself lol but after getting her timing and knowing her personality through character story, damn she's my favorite alongside Anby
I play her BA's like a rhythm game once you've got the muscle memory it will be consistent even on high intensity fights. I like playing her more than ellen
I have to admit I've watched several guides on Soldier 11's attack timing and I just cant get it down, which sucks because she's my only S rank character right now. She's still fun to play though even though I only get Fire infusion on like half her attacks.
i mean i have been playing her and don't believe there is a noticeable time when you are supposed to click for next attack it is just right around the end of the previous one so its really hard for you to try and learn from a video trust me i been playing her a lot (shes my only S rank) if you just play with her you will get it its the timing window isn't bad at all and at some point even without actively trying to learn it you will just be able to lol
Got S11 for my guaranteed S-rank from the standard banner. She's fun and satisfying, I was really hoping for Lycaon to pair with Ellen, but we get what we get. And I'm sorry Guoba, but I really do not like using Ben. He's a big, friendly bear and all, but he's so big that I can't see anything, and I can't stand how slow he is. Currently just using Anby, with Lucy naturally as the third team member.
I might need to go into training mode because I have not mastered the timing on her. Her and Koleda were my first two 5*, so I wanna make it work though.
She is the only 5 star I have and with her getting an agent story first actually made me really like. Her I first used her with Piper and Ben til I got Lucy and swapped out Ben but will add him back and see. Wish I had Koleda too
I use her with Ben and Lucy. She hits like a truck even with a mediocre build; I hit 50k with her ultimate. I also tested her with Piper. The disorder effect is good, but it takes time to trigger.

you don't have to hold the button to parry the bullets
you just have to run, no need to hold or anything. Anby does it too

Start with Lucy cause Lucy's summons don't appear until after she uses her skill once

Can't decide if I'm going to do Lucy or Ben with my S11 & Koleda. The Koleda Ben combo is just so fun to watch. Hopefully we get more fun interactions like them.
Thank you for making a Soldier 11 guide. She was the first S rank I wanted, and I got extremely lucky with my 50 pulls. Sadly, the only A rank I'm missing is Lucy so hopefully I get her sometime soon.

I didn't even know she had to time her basic attacks, i just thought she had to use her EX, ultimate, or perfect dodge to activate it so i was just spamming the whole time 😂

I don't think I'd have enjoyed ZZZ as much as I have if I didn't have S11. She's hard to get used to but once I learned the Fire Suppression, and especially after I got Lucy, she completely changed. Very reliable Fire DPS, especially because I got her weapon on the standard banner 💀 (I wanted doggo)
I actually to try and see if Ben is good teammate since he's kinda half stun/half support. Also she has a high potential of getting teammates that compliment her so there's that.
honestly, if it wasn't for S11 I'd have droped the game, she really made me feel like I was in control of the game, timing my hits instead of just spamming attacks, and that led me to learn more about the combat system, which made me enjoy the other characters aswell
That is a great way to put it. Many people think the combat in ZZZ is just button mashing.
soldier 11 is my main, thanks man built her with lucy and ben, koleda didnt do it for me she breaks my rhythm
I wasn’t really interested in her design wise but after trying her out in the companion quest she quickly became one of my favorites! Hopefully I can get her soon

im running the lucy piper soldier team and i gotta say its really good as most of the time piper gets assault way faster than fire thus not overriding the 28% cr

I play her BA's like a rhythm game once you've got the muscle memory it will be consistent even on high intensity fights. I like playing her more than ellen

I have to admit I've watched several guides on Soldier 11's attack timing and I just cant get it down, which sucks because she's my only S rank character right now. She's still fun to play though even though I only get Fire infusion on like half her attacks.
i mean i have been playing her and don't believe there is a noticeable time when you are supposed to click for next attack it is just right around the end of the previous one so its really hard for you to try and learn from a video trust me i been playing her a lot (shes my only S rank) if you just play with her you will get it its the timing window isn't bad at all and at some point even without actively trying to learn it you will just be able to lol
Got S11 for my guaranteed S-rank from the standard banner. She's fun and satisfying, I was really hoping for Lycaon to pair with Ellen, but we get what we get.
And I'm sorry Guoba, but I really do not like using Ben. He's a big, friendly bear and all, but he's so big that I can't see anything, and I can't stand how slow he is. Currently just using Anby, with Lucy naturally as the third team member.
I might need to go into training mode because I have not mastered the timing on her. Her and Koleda were my first two 5*, so I wanna make it work though.

She is the only 5 star I have and with her getting an agent story first actually made me really like. Her I first used her with Piper and Ben til I got Lucy and swapped out Ben but will add him back and see. Wish I had Koleda too

I use her with Ben and Lucy. She hits like a truck even with a mediocre build; I hit 50k with her ultimate. I also tested her with Piper. The disorder effect is good, but it takes time to trigger.
