Soldier 11's reaction to hearing Anby's voice reveals a lot about her feelings toward her. I find it interesting how she rebels against every advice Anby gives her. "Try not to provoke them", she angles her blade as to "shut her up" and provokes them anyways. "Find cover, don't be reckless", while recklessly running out, deflecting bullets. "Save your strength", but goes all out. "Soilder 11. what are you-", she responds with that she's going to walk her own path almost spitefully. Knowing about her immense hate for traitors because of a personal experience, you can make a plausable theory that her and Anby were close (clones or siblings) and were battling together (since she can hear Anby's advice as if Soilder 11 already knows what she would say) but that Anby betrayed her by doing something unforgivable or left her behind without a word or reason.

I think Anby deserted the army after the fall of the old capital, branding her as a traitor especially if they are what I think they are, clones bred for combat. That kind of special existence can't just resign.
Though Anby could have been separated by accident from the army after the fall of the old capital, she never returned. She wanted to be free. So she wandered around the streets and alleys of New Eridu until Nicole found her in a dumpster and pretty much adopted her because of her skill in fighting.
Pretty sure Anby deserted for whatever reason. Her bio in game lists her name as Anby Demura, but it’s clearly a fake name. There’s no way Anby and Nicole are actually related.
Besides Anby, theres not much we know about solider 11. It seems her and Anby clearly know each other, theories speculating their potential siblings. Im excited to see where they take her character 🔥🔥

The best part of this, the more story you get into, the more we get to know the characters, and it's a really well done exposition in some cases. Zenless is gonna have a nice lifespan with good combat and story to come. Only thing a gamer could ask for, other than the incredibly stable game engine they gave us! No crashes with near 24/7 play. Legendary game developers, well done.

Tru, after doing her character quests and getting to know her better losing 50/50 to her was a was much less disappointing.

Cool thing to note:
Anby likes burgers because it contains all the important food groups
Soldier 11 likes spicy noodles because it is filling and fires her up or something like that
They’re both pragmatic with the food they like.
And, I think it's if you go jog with 11, she actually comments that she thinks burgers are inferior to noodles, so they got beef about their favorite foods lol.
(Jogging as in doing the trust mission where you agree to meet in front of the video store)

It seems like Anby was Soldier 11's moral center.
Given the course the story going, I suspect Soldier 11 will become part of it, especially given that the people behind Vision and Sacrifice are aiming against Anby.

But if the traitor is a soldier herself, who, whether consciously or not, abandoned her sister in such a way that she, as she thinks, died, explains a lot. For example, why give up the name, that is, identity. Yes, because the association “traitor” hangs on it.

@@al103 This number can mean anything. The serial number is not necessary, and it does not have to correspond to age seniority. Maybe Anby was the first to be accepted into the program, and when the eldest found out about it, when there were ten other people there, she also asked to support her sister.
I thought I heard a rare voiceline where she comes to Anby's rescue in game where she says her name concerned. Cant wait to learn more
(For context, if you play as Anby and soldier 11 is on your team, there is a rare chance that she'll actually call out Anby's name if you assist anby as she's getting hit. Most people would've never added both of them to the team since they have no Synergy, but I love the lore between these two.)

Maybe because Anby never had any memories when being her to the cunning hares, but she’s still knows military training which makes sense since that her weapon moveset is like the same for Soldier 11. But it could be because that she wasn’t really to prove herself that she’s a worth soldier but 11 is? Either way. I want them to meet each other someday (IF HOYO DECIDES TO DO IT.)

Ok my theory is that they’re twin sisters or soldier clones or something like that who were raised in military forces. They must’ve developed a really close relationship if 11 *specifically* recalls Anby’s advice whenever she’s in bad combat situations. Maybe Anby took 11 under her wing and gave her advice as they went through combat missions together? Anby mentions in chapter 1 that she wouldn’t let the people being abandoned by Vision die, saying that she “won’t make the same mistake again”. Perhaps she was forced to leave people to die before, and it messed with her sense of morality so much that she ended up leaving the military force and therefore abandoning 11? This would’ve hurt 11 a lot too, and maybe it gave her thoughts of choosing her own path like Anby did?
Who knows? I definitely wanna see what the connection between them really is

This video kinda confirms my theory that soldiers are clones and Soldier 11 and Anby were most likely trained together. Besides Anby Demara is a name given by Nicole, her real name could be Soldier No. (?)
Anby is prob the clone that was the first successful one, prob making her Soldier 1(or 111 like her backpack says. Due to her backpack being more primitive it's likely Anby is a older model less fine tuned but more heavily invested in, like Master Chief and the later Spartan projects). Anby likely was let free on purpose to collect more data by the military force. Also during the missions Soldier 11 clearly knows someone who loves burgers and movies, who shounds just like Anby
Soldier 11 called Anby with the name Zero. It probably means that Anby is either the prototype, the first copy, or the original soldier which might give a reason why other soldier can see a flash of her image giving instructions when in battle
Anby colud just be the name she wants to use, because she doesnt accept to be treated just as a weapon, while Soldier 11 didnt reveal againts the army and kept it up with that identity

Anby has no memory of her past. Nicole found her one day and notices that despite her memory loss, she strangely seemed to have military training. So Nicole adopted her and made her the first member of her crew.
I got her c1 and her starting with her skill is crazy. Learning her hit timing is fun too. She's such a good char.
Im getting her W-engine right now and based on the description of it, it will make her a beast !! Check it out...

I knew Anby and Soldier 11 were related. Both of them have so many similarities such as the backpacks, personality, basic attack mechanic, history or lack thereof, weapons, etc.
Anby may have been a Soldier with Soilder 11. Maybe clones? They look and move too similar to be just siblings.
@FayolaOnline in the Chinese dialog Soldier 11 would call Anby "zero" so they obviously came from the same military group, but Anby all we know likely deserted or disobeyed orders. Either way, it did affected Soldier 11 who pretty much despises traitors and/or deserters
Unlike other characters who's unreleased faction members at least appear in teasers and cinematics, Soldier 11 has so far been shown to be alone all the time
interesting fact to add: if you are playing with Anby and soldier 11 on the same team and you switch from Anby to soldier 11, soldier says something like "Anby watch your back" but if you switch from soldier 11 to Anby, Anby will not say anything.

I remember when the first few characters were shown when zzz was first announced. I got Anby and Soldier 11 confused and thought they were the same person. If that's gonna have some merit after all this time then dang
I really like theory about Anby being her sister. Besides similar looks and her appearing in Soldier's mind... They have similar fighting moves. Like, too similar to not be intentional.
And next is just speculation. Anby mentions that "she won't let it happen again" some time in the story, don't remember when exactly and exact words, but I'm sure it can be found. Soldier 11 has a big thing about traitors, so maybe... Anby was a soldier too. Two trained together, hence them having similar fighting styles. In my theory, maybe something happen, that made Anby desert, which, without а doubt, would affect Soldier 11. And now she is very conflicted, cause her sister is really important to her, she loves her, Anby (as we see in this video) helped a lot and taught her. But Soldier is so loyal to her service. There is (probably) misunderstanding between them, about why Anby left, conflict of priorities.
I think, at some point, we will probably get their actual story, and I'm so here for it.
I think Anby said "I won't let it happen again" when she, Billy, and Nicole found people in the Hollow's that vision wanted to blow up (that had these people). So i assume, and this is just theory, but I'm guess in one of their missions, Anby (her soldier name was "zero" which soldier 11 called her in the Chinese dialog) and soldier 11 were on a mission but this mission likely had a high chances of casualties, innocent people. Likely Anby disobeyed orders to abandoned them and soldier 11 saw it as her going rogue which likely is the reason why she hates traitors.
Again this is just in theory since we don't know what happened between the two or know much of the faction they worked with. Soldier 11 is still the only character from this faction at the moment
Seeing this trailer really makes me curious about 11 and Anby's connection. They seem close and its very obvious after Nekomata's mission that something about Anby's past really troubles her. I imagine that it has something to do with her past with Soldier 11. Anby is one of my fav charcters in the roster and meta be damned, I want Soldier 11...after I get Grace, lol.

You could also theorize since Nicole found Anby. Anby was possibly on a mission or was attacked during a mission or the big fall and the battle hurt her more than was let on. Anby could have amnesia with only some comments as well as battle muscle memory but can remember nothing else. She's seen to desert or deviate from being a solider and that is why solider 11 see's her as a traitor but there's a chance that due to possible memory loss. She unintentional deviated because she does not know who she was before Nicole, which could explain why she is Anby Demura now and not who she was before.

One important note about the relations between S11 and Anby is that they both use the same type of swords. Double-edged and no point. It might be a standard weapon for "Soldiers"
Considering she is numbered while other soldier's we've seen aren't most likely means she's part of some kind special squad. That's most likely why both agents have similar gear because they are/was part of a specific program.

Fun fact: With Soldier 11, you’re able to block/cut most projectiles (bullets, missiles, ethereal shots, etc) by dahsing and then holding whatever you have the dash button set to.
I’m unsure if this works with any other characters, but 🤷♂️.

When she got introduced many people said that Hoyo is running out of ideas and complaining because how similar she is to Anby, not even thinking they could be related in some way or the lore behind it.
That alone opened me on how low the practical thinking really is for many of the players. No wonder Genshin community for example, is notorious for being toxic. Avoid Hoyolab and Twitter related community, save yourself some braincells.

I think she deserves a separate storyline chapter, which will be a bit like the story of Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance. Do you think she can at least "stop this blade", for example? ("Stop that blade" is a phrase from MGRR). Yes, it sounds crazy. It's just speculation.

@@johanstenfelt1206 my guess is it was an experimental subdivision of the army to test a set of soldiers using similar weapons. So soldiers on the battlefield could work together extra effectively. Perhaps after anby left they cancelled the experimental subdivision and she was just put with outer member of obsidian division, making soldier 11 the last test of this subdivision.

@@johanstenfelt1206 in the early trailer for soldier 11 they kept showing 00 so perhaps anby was solder 00 and all the other's in-between were failures? It would explain Anby's calm and collected behavior compared to soldier 11s heated temper.
