  • It’s time to leave SATARA Camp and head North to MOPANI Camp. The morning starts out with a beautiful bush sunrise as we set off on the self-drive safari towards the next camp. Quite quickly I stumble into an interesting roadside view of a LIONESS stalking a herd of ZEBRA. She is patient and intent on her mission and I spend an hour or more watching the drama unfold. When it's finally time to move on, I visit some favourite stops along the way to Mopani Camp, before finally settling in to watch the sun set over the PIONEER Dam, bringing to an end what can only be described as the perfect day in the bush.
    Come join us for the ride, and if you enjoy the content, please give it a thumbs up, and subscribe to the channel. You’ll get notified of new episodes and new adventures that we undertake.

    Another wonderful video Graeme. Mopani is on our list of places to stay in the future and hopefully we will be able to book a chalet with a view of over the dam as well. Karl & Alison

    Really awesome video but could I recommend a small change I think at times when you have like a animal montage you don’t use music but rather the raw sounds itself it really makes it more immersive but obviously only where you see fit and if you think having music would be better at that part rather than the pure sound of the bush 👍🏻👍🏻

      Thanks good feedback - thank you. I'll experiment on the next adventure trip that I do - most of the editing and footage is done now for this current season. Glad you enjoyed the video, and thanks for the comment.

      I too vote for less or no music, or at least not at nearly such high volume. Everything else about your videos is fantastic!

      Hello Elsbeth - thanks for watching and for your comment. Happy to hear that you enjoy the soundtrack. There are a number of soundtracks that I use in my content - all sourced from Epidemic Sound. If you let me know the timecode of the specific scene you are referring to, I will let you know who the artist is, and what the track is called. 😉

    The lioness and zebra segment was well edited. Somehow I suspect the experience might not have been as suspenseful as the footage suggests. Still, I’m not really sure how you managed it. Well done. While I think of it, the spots on your windshield are a bit distracting.

    • @graemecumming
      @graemecumming  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Windshield spots - agree! Need to try clean it every morning 😉
      That Lion/Zebra scene played out for over an hour. Some ‘dead’ moments for sure, but I had the Lioness and herd of Zebra in my sight for the entire time. They knew she was around - you can see them all facing her direction and watching closely. Don’t think she ever stood a chance to be honest - but it’s so exciting to just sit and watch it play out. The edit definitely shortens the whole experience and probably makes it a bit more dramatic - but still right up there as one of the most dramatic starts to a morning in the bush for me.
