AMAZING review JP - thanks so much! For anyone watching this, there was a wrinkle in the rules that we'll be updating in the final version to make it clearer. in games like Yahtzee, you have a maximum of three rolls (you can lock in dice then roll the rest). In Beards & Booty, each dice can be individually rolled up to three times. You can try going for one combo, then shift gears a bit easier if you don't get lucky. It opens the door to a bit more strategy since you have a bit more room to manage things. Dice Throne is an absolutely amazing comparison, and is a meal and a half of a game. For those times you want the meal, that's the game to beat. For those times you want a snack or something you can teach in just a few minutes and get right to the dice-chucking, that's where Beards and Booty shines =)
Thank you SO much - you totally got it and, absolutely, Dice Throne and Yahtzee were very much among the inspirations for Beards and Booty! And that coloring in work is fabulous! Thank you again for making the time to do such a fun review! Two thumbs WAY up!
@@LittleBigThumbs I don't own a copy of Dice Thrones but I'm not seeing the cubes (at 1:22) in any Dice Thrones pictures on BGG. Are they from Dice Thrones?
Thanks for the timestamp! Those cubes are from Freehand - a new “drawing” game from Indie Boards & Cards. We chat about it in this video: th-cam.com/video/8ddJ6dFg2xQ/w-d-xo.html

I'll be curious to see how that re-roll tweak settles in the rulebook. I'm having a bit of trouble envisioning it in my brain at the moment!

We need more games with colouring pages!
Where can I find cubed tokens like those? They look like 8mm with swirls. I've never seen those before.
Do you mean the Dice Throne dice? They’re included with the battle chests from the Dice Throne website. Hope that helps!

@@LittleBigThumbs TY! I'm ordering Freehand just for the cubes! 😃
Already backed!!!
Nice! Do you have their previous game, Spies?
@@LittleBigThumbs I don't. I thought about it but I've recently bought too many games for me and kids 😜
