I swerved around her, and something went thunk, but it sounded too light to be an entire human body. She'd swung one of her bags and hit my car. I exited ASAP, which if you know the town is a few minutes away, 281 S at Basse, felt like forever. Called the police, and yep, some lady had walked up a ramp and was up there jumping in front of cars. Miraculously, drivers avoided her long enough for authorities to go scoop her up. A cop came and took my statement and asked if I wanted to pursue the matter of any damages to my shitbox vehicle. I was like, haha, no. I swear it took 18 months off my life, and it's not even the scariest thing that's happened to me in San Antonio traffic.
