Glad I looked up this deck and your video. Been in the market looking to buy two oracle decks. I think ive settled on this and the Spirit Animal oracle. Thanks for giving us a deeper glance at the cards!
I am more of a Tarot collector, but the art of Baddeley is so magical, that I just had to buy it. This guy has to create a full Tarot. He just has to. I love his art so much. I know he has made concept drawings of a partial tarot deck, but apparently it is nowhere near finished.
I just looked on his website and his full deck should be out end of 2023, beginning of 2024. I know I’m a little late to the game on this deck. that’s the info I found his art seems rather alchemical to me and I love it.
I bought this deck after researching the work of the artist. His stunning paints are otherworldly! I'm so happy to have a deck with many of his gorgeous paintings. Thanks for the nice walk through!
I grew up in a Catholic family and we always had “Holy Cards,” which were similar in size to playing cards. They would have religious scenes or saints on one side and a prayer on the other side. Holy Cards came to my mind during your walk through of this deck. Much of the imagery seems to be of a religious nature with the many angel’s wings and halos, beautiful flowing fabrics and lots of golds and blues used throughout. It’s a really interesting deck. Thanks for the introduction!
Hello Lisa! Ariadne gave to Theseus the thread ( Mitos of Ariadne) as a trick to find his way out of labyrinth he went in and kill Minotaur. Love and light from Greece ❤️
I love how you interpreted the stop breaking agreements card. Even though it was just a sentence it opened my eyes. And I also really liked how you talked about body acceptance beeing so much more than just about our look. For me with a chronic illness and also with working through some menstrual cycle stuff that is so important. If you took more time to talk even though it would be a longer video I would also have loved it. So don't stress to much about how long the video is going to be.
I love this deck!I have the Heal Yourself Reading cards as well....there aren't any repeats ...They are both great decks for self-work. :) I find that the MHRC match well with the Golden Tarot by Kat Black...I finally found an oracle deck to work with this Tarot!Yey! :)
I love this deck so much! I bought it because I've been drawn to the artist for a bit, which I talked about quite a bit in my walkthrough. Please ask Peggy to make some cloths for her shop with that fabric. I'd totally snag one for my deck! Really beautiful. Enjoyed your thoughts on this deck. 💖
I so wanted to love this deck as Inna's other healing cards is one of my faves... I can only use this deck intuitively as the guide book does my head in argggghhh 🤷♀️ I keep trying to bond with it but come up frustrated so may re-home it ✌ thanks for your many greats videos I really enjoy them ✌
I recently got this deck. I found the cards incredibly valuable and easy to journal about with the artist’s symbols. I picked up a few bits from the author but found her text oddly disjointed from what the art was showing me. I’m glad I have the deck though!
Thanks Lisa. I'm always interested in what you have to say about a deck. Your comprehension and translation of the images provided clarity. I think you noticed aspects I didn't....but then I tend to focus on what the guide book tells me initially. I'm working on my intuitive reading skills so your interpretation really helps. I always associate glossy card stock with Oracle decks on the whole ( as well as the larger card size). Rockpool produce some great decks. I don't have loads but am loving this and the seasons of the Witch : Samhain Oracle at the moment.
I was like..ya its ok...not for me....then its...oh i like that.....ooh love the coloration....i dont need that deck....hmmmm...do I? ....been a long time since i bought an oracle deck. Its beautiful.
Hello, so I only discovered you a few weeks ago and I have fallen in love with your videos and I have learned so much, thank you. Now I should tell you that I am a complete addict........to Tatot and Oracle decks of course ha ha ha. A couple hundred at least and I really to cut loose. I hear you speak a lot about trading your card and selling them, and I would love if you could send me some information on places that you suggest where I can do that. Thank you so much and again thanks for all your amazing videos🙋♂️
I did a walkthrough of this deck too. I was thinking about rehoming it but you're making me think twice! I noticed the text on the backs was written right to left and my partner told me that Leonardo Da Vinci wrote his notes backwards to disguise them. So the backs may be using or based on Da Vinci's notes.
After watching this I looked up the artist - turns out the deck is based on pre-existing art, and the artist seems to be working on a tarot! www.jakebaddeley.com/
@@HazelJaneTarot oooh interesting! It's currently black and white images.... And can't tell if it will be pipe or scenes in the minors yet..... But the drawings are beautiful so far!
I usually don't like angels images... But this is a good one ! I think the key words are very well chosen. "Sol invictus" is latin and means in french soleil invincu or unconquer sun I think it was about a cult about Mithra (sun or light). Hope you will do a follow up to tell how the deck did work for you ! Thanks wish you a very good day ! Take care you and Peggy !
Man, this deck is something. I didn't expect to like it. I just thought "hey, sounds interesting" -click. But man. This hits hard. The body acceptance card, that's not easy. I mean in terms of what you said about inner workings. I have extreme chronic pain. And not only do I suffer under it, my kid does, my relationships do (talking relationships as a general term, not in the sense of a partner) and I also get judged. By my own doctors. Then suffer under the fact that because I'm young "what could I possibly have" (this was said to me verbatim by a doctor...) I don't get taken seriously. And I'm not *that fucking young. I'm 33, I have a long LONG history of chronic pain, I've had a child, the pregnancy fucked my hip up totally. It's just... it makes me want to cry, scream and some days rip myself apart because I can't take anymore. So it's not as easy as changing a mindset. Not when you are dealing with constant pain and things that are out of your control. Sadly. I do still love the card and I'm very sure I can get other positive messages out of it that I CAN apply and so could pretty much everybody because everyone deals with some shit. This is an amazingly thoughtful deck. Really really amazing. I don't have much money, we are really struggling badly but I'm gonna have to find a way to save up for this because these are the messages I need in my life. Honest, raw, even hurtful, but with a hint of love and a helping hand to go with that.
It can be so hard to do the work of 'body acceptance' when you feel at war with your body for reasons you can't control. Whether it's chronic pain, illness, body image, beauty stereotypes or other causes - most of us have spent our lives feeling angry at, frustrated with or betrayed by our body. I don't think Body Acceptance is ever as simple as a mindset shift.... but and I don't think it's something you 'succeed' or 'fail' at - it's a practice, something you do to try to make peace with your body despite all the ways it has let you down or doesn't meet the criteria you wish it meant... it's about finding a way to extend an olive branch and definitely NOT about invalidating or glossing over very real lived experiences and struggles!! But that's a whollllle side rant and just my way of saying that I hear you, I see you and I believe you when you describe your struggle. It's tough stuff for SURE...... this is a special deck. I'm sorry you're struggling and agree - this is worth saving for. Know there's no hurry - it's a mass market deck so it should be available for a long time!
I adore my Mystical healing reading cards but because of Jake Baddeley's artwork and my own key words I put on the deck. I was very disappointed initially when RP changed the keywords (incl design) shortly before releasing the deck. As to Inna Segal I really don't like her way of writing, I find it to be very preachy and it make my eyes roll all the time 🤷♀️🤭 so I discarded the guide book. But personalizing this deck made it work incredibly well for me. For example "Access clear thinking" is "unravel" in my deck. "Assimilate life experience" became "reckless" and "awaken your vulnerability" is "demands". It was really important to me to get keywords that work well in a tarot reading and are not so evaluating and are connected to the images as I see them 😊
I have heal yourself cards of the same author and I am thinking of mixing these two to make a big shadow work deck 👍
Thanks for this review. Can't wait to work with it.
Wonderful walkthrough, you’ve convinced me. Purchased through your link and new subscriber.
Welcome aboard!

Clear thinking is masterpiece when it comes to struggle..
