Korek is a legend. He's one of the devs who worked on DL1 and 2 and more hardcore DL1 fans will remember his name (on the Korek charm) from DL1's Korek Machete, which is another high-tier (for early game, anyway,) secret developer weapon. Korek likes to hide tools around the map to make his playthroughs easier, hence the Korek Machete and Korek Charm.
The Korec Charm can be used to repair your weapon durability. Simply equip the charm. Dequip the charm. And that weapon should be fully repaired it can be used infinitely. Which is the entire reason the devs left it in game.
You don't actually have to complete the VNC tower mission to get to this room. I still have not done the mission and have already reached the top of the tower and the dev room. Find the side of the building with the generators where you can start crawling up the slope of the building and just keep going from there. It took some tries but eventually made it.
I just used the grappling hook. Theres a beam right next to the floor you need to drop to. Just grapple it and drop down to the window. Way easier than the paraglider, well at least on console it is

When doing this you actually don't have to use the paragrader you could just go off and fall off the side of the building and land through the window but make sure you hold the safe fall button

So on PS5 you don't need to used paraglider. just don't press jump button. slowly go backwards and with your analog stick just slowly move back and keep pressing R2 and he will fall into the open window. you'll lose your health but heal up and do the same for the second floor. Don't go straight to the second floor, fall into by hugging the glass windows into 1st, heal up, and 2nd floor. this was better way of doing because hold the square button will release the cable.
I'm such a gamer😂 I found this place and have no idea why I took a seat on all 4 resting spots. That lighting strike scared the toughness out of me. I really was just about to chill there and go get a drink😂 I'm here to see if there were other things before I take off.
That last jump took me forever to do, i didn't have the grapple hook so i died at least 20 times, finally i went to the fan at the last jump and tapped the paraglide shoot and it worked without retracting my cable.
You can actually get to the dev room early if you use the broom after turning on the power in the Garrison area (the reason I know this is because I literally just did it to see if it could happen but it probably only works this way on New game Plus)

A very cool detailed that I have noticed in the dev room is the action figure from the first dying light on the desk it was a mission where you got a gun for this guy and in the back of the store there is the same action figure 6:21

Thanks for this vid I’m a dl1 vet from 2014-2018 and been playing this and the weapons honestly trash compared to all the dev stuff I had from the first game I’m playing on hard mode and I haven’t been struggling much but the time to kill is to long sometimes
what about the seat between the glova room and the korek room? I mean it can't be just there for nothing yk if they out a seat there then it got some use
I struggle too. But I figured out that if you mantle the railing below where he initially jumped off and use that ability where you get a long jump after boosting over an obstacle then you can make it easily.
Doing this on console has made me rage for the past hour. Ffs LET US REMAP OUR CONTROLLERS!!!!!! Seriously it's infuriating when things are mapped in a way that makes it difficult to handle tasks like this.
@@rochambeau7197 i know, my dumbass holds it for longer cause there is a .14 second delay on input. yeah i have that kind of weird issue with 14ms delays.
I have the problem when i am on the tower with the cables and i wanna jump down with glider, each time i touch a floor i instantly die, no matter if with the glider or the grappling hook....
@@aaronj3826 i already completed the game and i have all skills, the problem is no matter how soft u touch the first floor when u jump down you instadie with full healthbar, you can olny touch the second floor and everything below
Decide to get on top of the tower. Spot the cable connector. Figure out that you can connect several floors together. Die 4 times tyring to do that with the paraglider only (no grapple yet). Get into the room. Not realize there was something about the electric spark, get scared, get up in a hurry , dash away , grab the "magic bat" in the fridge full of ducks and alcohol, miss all the charm and secret weapon, and call it a day. Okay.

One of the things this has shown me (other than the room) is how bad the parkour controls can be sometimes.
Do not die doing this or you will spawn at a nearby safe house and have to go all the way back up vnc and get to where you left off
Dying wasn't a choice. It was my destiny.
Well if you do it right you can save up there for an easy respawn
i tried this 6 times and almost threw my pc out the window because the stupid fall damage 🤣
Dont do the mission it well get you to respawn to the nearest story checkpoint

Find the side of the building with the generators where you can start crawling up the slope of the building and just keep going from there. It took some tries but eventually made it.
Put the charm on and you get 500+ but when you put another charm on the weapon and then the korek charm you get again the repair of 500 durabilty
You can just put the korek charm on again and again, no need to switch charms entirely.

In the first Dying Light you can find Korek too but instead of a charm it's a machete that 1 taps every normal zombie

you dont need the vnc tower just be smart and use the air flow
You can get up there and it can be done with fully upgraded paraglider. You can literally fly up there if you’re good with it.

You don't *HAVE* to do Broadcast to get up there. It's just easier for some people.

OK, so they updated the korek charm. It does 40% more damage when your weapon is at 25% durability.

You can try using the skill when you jump, press triangle(ps4) and you turn 180 and reverse. I think that was the indended way.
if you tap x/square while in the air, your paraglider will come out. you don’t have to hold it

You're going to have to have the skills in your parkour press circle before you land to reduce the fall damage
The skill is called active Landing it is one is the second skill you could get it is on the left
