Very nice, thanks for sharing. Obviously 20 professional seamstresses disliked this video because they could do a much better job but forgot to make a video of it.
viděl jsem tohle video jako novinku před 11lety, už tehdy jsem si říkal, že si taky ušiji brašnu, tohle video bylo pro mě takový vstup do šití, od té doby jsem si ušil několik brašen, rád se sem vracím
Dude. I just stumbled onto this video. I really have no interest in making one but your video was so well made I just sat and watched the whole thing. Good job man. Well done
Thanks for making this video it help me out a lot and let me make my own frame bag's for my Big Dummy. This was only the start of making all of my bag's.The internet rock's for me.Thanks again for this well done video.
Used your video and made one for myself. Love it. After a bikepacking trip I had no regrets except that i wished I had tapered the bottom corner of the bag. The cogs on the crank caught it every once in a while and made a small hole. Thanks for the instructions!
Thanks for this video! Watched it a few years ago and finally used it (along with a few other resources) to sew a bag for my 2017 Kona Unit! Cheers from Ottawa Canada!
Great Video!! Thanks so much for showing how its done. Making one for my road bike. Bought a cheap ripstop backpack from walmart for 10 bucks, cut it apart and make the size/shape I want. Thanks again!!! Well done!!!
well if your school still has Home Ec ... that is always a neglected elective now being eliminated from schools.... no idea why as that is very useful ... much like wood shop!
I had made a smaller frame bag about 2yrs ago thats still serving me well ...and I had used the materials from an old piece of black luggage we were throwing out anyway. Including the zipper, final COST was $0 dollars and about 2-3 hrs of my time.
Amazing framebag! I just bought it as finished product for 39 euros because it was cheaper compared to making it myself (with tools that are needed to sew it).
I built the same design but added an outside pocket and rain flap to cover the zipper and my added pocket I didn’t make mine fill the entire triangle. I brought mine down about 11 inches. I also added reflective material on the sides just to highlight the bike in traffic,
Awesome video, and thanks for sharing! Can someone please let me know what kind / model of sewing machine will work for such projects? I'm totally new in this.
It gives you something to pull on so you can close the zipper. This is not something that is really necessary because as long as you position one of your velcro straps that mount the bag to the frame behind the zipper it will close just fine.
You sewed the two panels together with the divider. In the next scene the panels are separeted.... I don't understand? In which order did you fix the divider with the panels?
I like bikepacking. In the desert, it is impt to carry a lot of water. So, if I were to make a pack, I would make it to carry hydration bladders for water.
Do you have any advies on how to sew the corners over the bag? I really struggle with them, especially when i sew on the back panel; The fabric in the corners will bunch up and get all crooked due to the tension. Btw nice bag
Not sure if you'll even see this, but what machine do you use? Looking for cheap options to be able to make some bags for myself. Possibly some friends too. Thanks for any reply!
This looks like a cool winter project to play around with, thanks. I'm wondering about waterproofing as far as the seams go. Comments anyone? Edit...Basting tape seems like a good idea.

I had made a smaller frame bag about 2yrs ago thats still serving me well ...and I had used the materials from an old piece of black luggage we were throwing out anyway. Including the zipper, final COST was $0 dollars and about 2-3 hrs of my time.
Good idea MadCow
Great idea. What kind of needle did you need for sewing machine?
Amazing framebag! I just bought it as finished product for 39 euros because it was cheaper compared to making it myself (with tools that are needed to sew it).

Thanks for sharing your experience with us.
I think you did a marvelous job on that bag. I live in Colorado and would love to hire you to make me a bag if possible.
In the description you can find he has a business now at bedrockbags.com.
Awesome video, and thanks for sharing! Can someone please let me know what kind / model of sewing machine will work for such projects? I'm totally new in this.
don´t know if i´m going to make one some day, but it´s really a great thing!!
That came out really great! It is an advanced project though. Any tips (sites, videos, etc) for where a beginner should start out?
Awesome video, thanks. What kind of thread do you use on the machine?
Why do you sew a paracord line on the zipper? Awesome 😊 job. Thanks.
It gives you something to pull on so you can close the zipper. This is not something that is really necessary because as long as you position one of your velcro straps that mount the bag to the frame behind the zipper it will close just fine.
Thanks a really helpful video that will stand test of time !!
Thanks for this super helpful video! Love the cool little loop you added to help to open and close the zipper. Did you also buy this from Rockywoods?
Fantastic tutorial!
Nice one ! Thanks for the cool video.
Great, thank you very much. Will do one myself in the upcoming weeks.
turned out awesome!
It looks great! So how has this worked out, would you build it the same if you made it again?
Very neat and detalied!!
You sewed the two panels together with the divider. In the next scene the panels are separeted.... I don't understand? In which order did you fix the divider with the panels?
,Thatks alot , very helpful , do you think you can make a saddle bag?
I like bikepacking. In the desert, it is impt to carry a lot of water. So, if I were to make a pack, I would make it to carry hydration bladders for water.
Thanks for Uploading :D That looks great!
Very nice.... where did you get the waterproof zipper?
Well done, thanks for the video!
Do you have any advies on how to sew the corners over the bag? I really struggle with them, especially when i sew on the back panel; The fabric in the corners will bunch up and get all crooked due to the tension. Btw nice bag
any links to materials vendors that you purchase your supplies from? Thanks.
Thank for sharing I am about to make my own ,did you use a special sewing machine ,or any would do?
Thats awesome, I'm going to scale down the idea so I can go packless on longer epic rides on my MTB, how do you carry water on this set up?
I typically carry two water bottles mounted to the fork stanchions and a spare liter under the down tube with our Bedrock Bags Honaker pack.
Awesome! I wanna do this now!
Great job 👍🏼
Very helpful. Thanks for sharing this!
Wow, good work!
How many yards of ripstop material did you need for this bag? Thanks and this looks great by the way.
I can't keep the xpac vx21 from curling up any ideas on keeping it flat
Everyone remember to seal your seams!
What would you suggest to seal it with?
Wow, looks amazing :-)
GREAT WORK.... ;)
WHICH MACHINE DO YOU USE?
It is a Janome HD 1000. It's a good little machine.
excellent work. could i ask what Xpac fabric it was please. Thanks
Thanks! That was VX-21 Slate Grey.
VX-21 Slate Grey
Who is the band playing at about 3.30?
awsome , I am going to add a couple of d rings and stoe a strap and also use it as a sling bag
What machine are you sewing with here? Always thought I would need something industrial or the old heavy duty Singer. Nice work.
It's a Janome HD1000. It does well for it's size. Good luck with your projects.
Great vid, what sewing machine do you use? Love to give it a try.
I think that it's important to seal the seam, with some glue.
How much fabric have you used?
Not sure if you'll even see this, but what machine do you use? Looking for cheap options to be able to make some bags for myself. Possibly some friends too. Thanks for any reply!
I used a Janome HD-1000. Great little machine. No contest for our commercial machines, but she will get it done!
How did you sew through the zipper teeth when you sewed on the trim piece?
Nice job!
which sewing machine did you use for this?
I'm planning to try my hand on this, but with tarp material (like tent groundsail or ikea frakta bag).
Do you think that would work?
Nice work.
Nice work mate:)
Do you have to seal the sewn seams for it to be waterproof?
yes
Totally amazing.
How many linear yards of the x-pac do you think you used for this bag?
Someone have a link to buy some good Fabrics like in the video or something else? And also the zippers and so on.... Thank You!

were you listening to Joy Kills Sorrow in this?
@iksnyzrog You could probably do this project with a half a yard. I might get a full yard just in case.
Pretty damn good!
great video. thanks
Top job.
REALLY REALLY GREAT JOB!!!! :-) I would like to be able to. But I don't.
This looks like a cool winter project to play around with, thanks. I'm wondering about waterproofing as far as the seams go. Comments anyone?
