Very nice tutorial! The boxed corners - I have always folded the bag flat, sewn the corners, and then cut off the excess. That said, I have only made boxy bags out of cotton and ripstop poly/cotton blends.

Totally screwed up my first try, made a second one tonight and it turned out perfect. I used some scrap Ottertext "army" color with black zipper and black handles. Looks so good.
One thing that I did different: after marking out the cuts for the corners, I went back and did a quick back stitch by the cut line. I noticed during my first try that things were trying to come apart after I cut along that seem. It really helped me out.

Great video! Could you maybe share the calculation for the size of the finale box? I mean, counting in the material that you cut away. Like "4x4cm would give this and this size". Keep on the good work! Your tutorials are always amazing!

Hi there, love your videos. A question regarding measuring the cutouts for the corners. How does adjusting the size from 4cm affect the shape of the bag ie what happens if you make it say 2cm etc. Also how do you know exactly what size cutout to use for different size bage or is it always 4cm? Thanks
Hi Tony, the Size of the Cutout effects the Hight! In this Case (4cm+1cm Seam Allowance)+(4cm+1cm Seam Allowance)=10cm in Hight of the Pouch. When you make the Cutouts 2cm then it will be 6cm in Hight. Cheers, Steffen

Well, I guess it might also work for a Duffle Bag. To calculate the Measurements... Honestly, it is simple Math😉 always consider your Seam Allowance!

Gibt es beim Wonder Tape eine andere Funktion außer zu fixieren? Ich sehe, dass du direkt drüber nähst.Wie vermeidest du das Verkleben der Nadel?
Welchen Trick hast du beim Einfädeln der Schieber, ohne dass sich die Ränder verschieben? Gerade rückseitig eingefädelt- ein Job zum Verrücktwerden ;)

Hi Alex, tatsächlich habe ich bei dem Wondertape kaum das Problem mit häufigem Verkleben, da ich die Nadel eigentlich wöchentlich reinige mit Spiritus. Das klappt sehr gut.
Beim Einfädeln der RV achte ich darauf, dass ich die zum Einen gerade abschneide und der Rest ist tatsächlich Fingergefühl, anders kann ich es nicht erklären, da ich schon mehrere 1000 RV eingefädelt habe.
P.S. das doppelseitige Klebeband von Extremtextil ist nochmal besser als das von Prym

I purchase all Materials at Tacticaltrim and I recommend buying a Walking Foot Industrial Sewing Machine like TYPICAL, Consew, Texxi or else

If you are doing the cut outs then what is the purpose of the back stitching? Wouldn’t you want them to make it further back or something?
Well backstitching is for securing the seams. I usually do that with every seam

Is it concerning if some glue from the tape sticks on the needle regarding the whole mechanism system ? Or not ? Anyway, your videos are always amazing !
Thank you that you like my Work 🤘😎 the glue from the Tape is no real concern. Cleaning the Needle from time to time does the Job pretty well. I only clean the mechanical parts when necessary!
@@AdventureGearProjects The only time the glue from the tape gets me, is when I'm using a light thread (Gutterman) and a small (#12) needle and some light fabrics. The glue really influences that smaller thread and gets things messed up.
But when I'm sewing Cordura and using a #18 needle and maybe a V69 thread then it's no much of an issue. Still need to keep it clean as you stated.
Would this bag work okay with using just one slider rather than two? By the way, your sewing work is amazing!

It usually takes just 20-30min to make one of the Boxy Bags
@@AdventureGearProjects damn that's fast. I'm much slower. Once I figuered out the tricks I got it down to an hour plus, probably much quicker next time since I don't have to keep cueing up you video every step.
