Creedence Clearwater Revival was one of my dad's favorite bands. I had this played at his funeral, as they wheeled him to the hearse. I miss you pop. I love you to the moon and back.
One of my favorite songs. I also loved the sax. When I looked the song up the information said John Fogerty was playing the sax! Beautiful, evokes nostalgia for home and for the people who love you.
Oh how fun. I know I recommended this on and off for a very long time. One of my favorite of their ballads. Companion CCR songs to it for me in this direction are "Feelin' Blue" and "Hideaway (Wish I Could)". ❤❤❤ "Someday Never Comes" is more up-tempo and a total banger, but it also punches really hard emotionally. All of these were hits and fan favorites.
CCR often touches something in everyone. Yes, their songs are not long ones...usually they are not...However, their music is strong, raw & real. True and talented. Love this one, as well. It is a good one.
If I had to guess the reason why this version ends it as soon as it did was it about an under 3-minute version for the radio. Anything longer and it wouldn't have been played. Those were just the rules back then. ... I suspect if you went to another album, they'd have a longer cut, possibly a concert length (jazz) cut.
I'm pretty sure there's got to be at least 1 CCR song out there that kind of sucks, I've yet to find that song but I'm sure there has to be at least1 though.
Don't you love it when the young Brothas find a classic country rock song with gospel and jazz roots. It seems like it's almost enough to make this Brotha give up rap and have them ask all of the women artists to put the other half of their clothes back on. ... Find equally important rap lyrics and put them to some REAL MUSIC.
"Evereywhere you look, there is a teensy bit of garbage". I love your positive outlook❤
The look on your face when that sax entered the scene was like a little kid at Christmas, lol. ❤
🎵 "Put a candle in the window..."
🪟 🕯️
"...as long as I can see the light."🎶
CCR forever...
His voice just slays me every time, and this is yet another incredible song composition and performance all the way around. ❤
Can't go wrong with CCR. Will always love their Music!!
This is a "deep track" CCR. Thanks for finding this one. Don't know why this is not played as much. This is a banger.

Gospel influenced rock.

John Fogerty could be a one man band. That's him olaying rhe sax.
You should react to every CCR song.
