Fogerty is playing the sax as well on this song. All-around genius. On their records he plays lead guitar, keyboards, sax, harmonica, and, of course, vocals.
I’m 23 years old… wish there were more people of my age that appreciate this music. Luckily Iv’e got a couple of friends who do. Today’s music is nothing compared with 60’s and 70’s music.
Greatest moment of your life is when you react to the longer version of I heard it through the grapevine by Creedence. It should last around 11 minutes but its so worth it
Creedence must have the greatest strike rate of any band. I can't think of any other band that has a higher percentage of GREAT songs in their catalogue. Just stunning.
Bread, Boston, Bob Seger, Doobie Brothers, The Cars, Kansas.... the bands are out there to listen to without hitting a flop along the line. Exceedingly rare these days, but the 70s seems just full of them. Nobody really tried to pigeon hole the bands or themselves into "genres" (that came later and applied retroactively). All we cared about was "Is their music good?". It was an amazing time to be alive. Everywhere you turned it was just one fantastic band after another. No autotune, no dubs or "sampling", just hit after hit after hit by extremely talented artists
@TonyM And that's not even mentioning the bands from the other side of the Atlantic. The UK groups from the 1960's and '70's are as a collective, even better (IMHO).
More CCR…Green River, Run Through the Jungle, Down On the Corner, Born On the Bayou, Lodi, Some Day Never Comes, Hey Tonight. You can’t lose with any CCR song. Fogerty brings it every time. ❤️
Biz you are correct. The sax and the vocals can't be beat. It's so unique you can't compare it. As far as CCR goes you can't go wrong. I'd suggest Born On the Bayou or Have You Ever Seen the Rain.
Proud Mary, I heard it on the grapevine (by Marvin Gaye), run through the jungle and I put a spell on you. Of course @Cameron`s testing art is also right with born on the bayou. I think it`s enough for the next hour ;-)) Best regards @all from hamburg (germany)
I listened to them in High School. A friend bought a car and I put in a 8-track player for him and I installed RCA jacks in it and we cruise around with headphones on. High school was 7 miles so we got in a few songs.
I’m gonna suggest from this same album “Ramble Tamble, Travelin’ Band or I Put A Spell On You” You should probably just do the entire “Cosmo’s Factory” album!! It’s a banger ♥️🎤🎸🔥♥️
Fantastic reaction Biz! John Fogerty is the greatest singer songwriter of my generation, and probably any other. "Long As I Can See The Light" is my second favorite CCR song. My favorite is the live performance (Woodstock) of "I Put A Spell On You". I'm pretty sure it will become your new Favorite CCR song.
My brother introduced me to CCR and this song will remains with me forever although my brother passed away I will listen to CCR for as long as I'm alive or even down under! In this song John FOGGERTY harmonize with the sax like nobody ever did!
I bought that album in the early seventies and I still got it. I actually haven't seen the cover for many years till now. Brings back a lot of memories that was maybe one of 10 albums that I had at the time. You know how you buy it and new album and you play it over and over and over.
I saw John Fogerty last fall in Winnipeg Canada . His two sons were in the band. His daughter probably would have bee there to, but she was still in school. His wife was backstage to. Put on a fabulous show !
Check out "Tomorrow never comes" But see some of his solo hits: "Old man down the road", "Center Field", "Luckiest man Alive" ,"One hundred and ten in the shade"
BIZ! I'm so glad you got to this and I can tell, based on this, there are these other two that are kind of in this direction that I almost always play back-to-back whenever I play this song: Hideaway (Wish I Could), and, Feelin' Blue. I like the slower ones sometimes because it really gives you a chance to hear his voice unwind and fill up the space with so much soul and emotion and grit. And the lyrics are always so powerful. Hideaway is such a powerful song, and I desperately want to give you a hint about the topic of it but then again I don't want to spoil it in any way because when it dawns on you what he's talking about, it's a powerful moment. And then that last one is almost like old slow Motown or something, I don't know, it just has so much soul to it and it's really catchy and the singing is spectacular. And I love what you said about you haven't heard anything you don't really like buy them. I can honestly say that there are only three bands from this era that I literally like every single song on every single album. I mean every single song, each in its own way. That is a very difficult thing to say about very many bands from me. The other two are The Beatles and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Literally every single song on every single album. I can't even say that about other great bands that I love, like Led Zeppelin, because there are a few on those that I just don't like that much for some reason although I don't think they are bad. But with these three bands, I literally like a lot every single song they ever did. For another rocker, you've got to check out It Came Out of the sky. It bangs so hard and it's got a great punchline And it just feels good. It is about a farmer named Jody and one night a meteor comes burning out of the sky and lands in one of his pastures. It makes him fall out of his tractor. He runs all the way to town screaming it came out of the sky. He was shaking and fearing for his life. And then the story unfolds from there. 😂
❤😎😎❤...Biz...I love to sing Bad Moon Rising at karaoke. I've been wanting to sing this one too. I LOVE CCR ! When i listen to CCR, my neighbors do too !!! 🎵🎶 😎 😁
I grew up listening to this group. I still enjoy them. Please, react to one of their hit song in 1971or 72. The title is " HEY TONIGHT. " Please. Thank you. ❤
I enjoyed your reaction to my favorite group playing this moving song. Please listen and react to "Wrote A Song For Everyone" by Creedence Clearwater Revival from the Green River album. It has a similar, almost mournful quality to it. The very first time that I heard "Long As I Can See The Light" was back in 1970 during a Houston Lighthouse For The Blind commercial, around 10:30 pm., right after the local news. Paired with that Lighthouse logo, it made an indelible impression on my teenage mind. I had to save up my lunch money in order to afford the $3.95 Cosmos Factory album--because the single version of it was sold out at the record store. It was in the summer of 1970 that I first got to see Creedence in concert.
The great soulful voice of Mr. John Fogerty. This was a double "A" hit single, with the fun tune "Lookin' Out My Back Door" on the flip side. So many great Creedence tunes to recommend. My fave is the follow-up to "Bad Moon Rising", titled "Lodi." I think you'd really dig it. The singer finds himself in the town of Lodi, a town he doesn't want any part of. The chorus goes "Oh Lord, I'm stuck in Lodi, again." Other great cuts -"Green River", (similar to Hollies Long Cool Woman), "Sweet Hitchhiker", "Down on the Corner", "Hey Tonight."
Biz, I’ve been tuned into your channel for awhile, You have surely changed thru that time, in the beginning you seemed a bit on edge, now your just calm and just chill. That’s what the music from my time does to you. Also St Pete beeped me again, said we both have to stop ,we re creating noise pollution in heaven
Ccr has so many great songs. The lead singer John Fogerty wrote this song. Long as I can see the light. Please react to Traveling band it's really upbeat
“John Fogerty left his soul in the studio with this one.”
Oh yeah!
So soulful and bluesy vocals... one of CCR's best tunes.
This Brother got soul.
🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
Fogerty is playing the sax as well on this song. All-around genius. On their records he plays lead guitar, keyboards, sax, harmonica, and, of course, vocals.
Seems that was what led to all the disjunction in the band! John was just way too talented for the other 3!
John Fogherty’s voice is soul food to the ears
Half a century later and we're still listening to Credence and they still sound as good and the music sounds as fresh as it did back then!
Love Creedance Clearwater Revival OR CCR as they are also called. I love this song . You gotta listen to who'll stop the rain
I now know "Bad moon rising" thanks to you.
That is my favorite,
if this song doesn't feed your soul...nothing will. Powerful stuff..right on with Soulshine!!
I’m 23 years old… wish there were more people of my age that appreciate this music. Luckily Iv’e got a couple of friends who do. Today’s music is nothing compared with 60’s and 70’s music.
For anyone who travels for work and has a family, this song just hits.
Soulfull beauty
Midnight special. Fortunate son. Heard it thru the grapevine
They have so many good songs.
Right now born on the bayou
'Some day never comes' is a feeler, and touches my heart every time.
If you haven't done these, then you should: "Green River", "Born on the Bayou", "I Put a Spell on You", "Lodi". These are a good start.
I dont have one favorite CCR song because I love every song they ever did.
To me this is their most underrated song... My favorite
My favorite too. ❤️❤️❤️
Greatest moment of your life is when you react to the longer version of I heard it through the grapevine by Creedence. It should last around 11 minutes but its so worth it
Interesting fact - John Fogarty wrote PROUD MARY, which Ike and Tina Turner sang.
This is Soul, Blues, Rock, all together. A great band. 🎶🎶🎶❤️❤️👍
Creedence must have the greatest strike rate of any band. I can't think of any other band that has a higher percentage of GREAT songs in their catalogue. Just stunning.

to me this was a shout out to the soldiers serving in Vietnam.
Someday never comes is another one I like
My favorite Creedence song.
More CCR…Green River, Run Through the Jungle, Down On the Corner, Born On the Bayou, Lodi, Some Day Never Comes, Hey Tonight. You can’t lose with any CCR song. Fogerty brings it every time. ❤️
These are so great songs but dig a little deeper The #1 under rated song by CCR is Ramble Tamble
A good song makes you feel good a great song touches your soul and this is a great song and also a great song is timeless and will last forever
Born on the Bayou is not only my favorite Creedence Clearwater Revival song, it is my favorite song ever.
Got to be listened to loud!!!
Hey Biz if you haven't listened to CCR "Midnight Special" or "Heard it through the grapevine"... you should check out both.
Biz you are correct. The sax and the vocals can't be beat. It's so unique you can't compare it. As far as CCR goes you can't go wrong. I'd suggest Born On the Bayou or Have You Ever Seen the Rain.
I’m adding this to my folder of Exceptional Reaction Videos. Thank you. 👏👏
Thank you
Wrote a song for everyone is another great one.
My favorite Creedence song.. Emotional in many ways for me
Proud Mary, I heard it on the grapevine (by Marvin Gaye), run through the jungle and I put a spell on you. Of course @Cameron`s testing art is also right with born on the bayou. I think it`s enough for the next hour ;-)) Best regards @all from hamburg (germany)
As a kid in the 70s my mom use to play this album and this song got me in to music The voice and that beat got me
Biz! Next one It Came out of the Sky!
This just happens to be my favorite CCR song, but it is hard to find a bad song by CCR.
I listened to them in High School. A friend bought a car and I put in a 8-track player for him and I installed RCA jacks in it and we cruise around with headphones on. High school was 7 miles so we got in a few songs.
Love this song too.
I’m gonna suggest from this same album “Ramble Tamble, Travelin’ Band or I Put A Spell On You” You should probably just do the entire “Cosmo’s Factory” album!! It’s a banger ♥️🎤🎸🔥♥️
This has been my request for EVER ... with the sax and his voice .. there isn't any competition....
'left his soul in the studio'...great reaction. try tombstone shadow and sweet hitchhiker.
Great review! This is one to put on the playlist. Next for CCR, I'd suggest 'I Put A Spell on You'
I knew before you started this would be your new favorite, great reaction, IMO their best

My favorite is the live performance (Woodstock) of "I Put A Spell On You". I'm pretty sure it will become your new Favorite CCR song.
Heard it Through the Grapevine
Green river is another classic
If you haven't already listened to it, and you think this is soulful, (it is) then you MUST listen to I Put a Spell on You. THAT is soul...
This is my favorite as well 👍 great reaction
My brother introduced me to CCR and this song will remains with me forever although my brother passed away I will listen to CCR for as long as I'm alive or even down under! In this song John FOGGERTY harmonize with the sax like nobody ever did!

Should try John Fogerty, any song off Blue Moon Swamp album, can't go wrong
Love CCR I remember as a child riding in the car with my parents playing this. I liked them at the age of 6 lol ❤
Another great reaction Biz. Would love to see you react to CCR - Midnight Special. Just another great tune by them. Looking forward to seeing this.
❤😎😎❤...Biz...I love to sing Bad Moon Rising at karaoke. I've been wanting to sing this one too. I LOVE CCR ! When i listen to CCR, my neighbors do too !!! 🎵🎶 😎 😁

Whats my favorite CCR song ?. I'd have to say " Have You Ever Seen The Rain "..
Biz! CCR did most of their whole library in like 5 year period! I think John Fogerty released like 3 albums in one year
I enjoyed your reaction to my favorite group playing this moving song. Please listen and react to "Wrote A Song For Everyone" by Creedence Clearwater Revival from the Green River album. They use to close every episode of SNL in 70's (epic)

Ccr has so many great songs. The lead singer John Fogerty wrote this song. Long as I can see the light. Please react to Traveling band it's really upbeat
Try "Penthouse Pauper" next. It gets very few reactions, but it's awesome, and shows off his guitar skills.
My kinda Church

Lodi is a favorite of mine😊 but I like all their songs🤷🏾
John foggerty did solo stuff too
