- Join us for a quick mobile internet tip - how to use the Wi-Fi Calling feature on your smartphone to make phones calls and TXT messages when you don't have cellular signal on your phone.
This features allows you use other internet sources - like Starlink or another cellular carrier off your hotspot or router. This can help you avoid needing to have a cellular booster on board, or be a great option when traveling internationally without roaming features.

Very helpful information about WiFi Calling….
A tutorial on getting bank one time codes internationally would be great. A thought is you could get a SIM in the destination country for a secondary phone, bring your primary phone used for bank one time codes, and connect the primary phone to the secondary phone's data.
If you have international roaming on your plan, you should still be able to receive TXT messages. Or just use Wi-Fi calling as explained in this video to any internet source you have access to. Or have your bank e-mail you the code instead of TXT.
some providers offer that for free to receive, im in the UK my MVNO provider offers receiving texts from any number completely free if i went back into the US for example
Saved us this summer in Hells Canyon when our truck died. Used startlink.
Did startlink fix your car? maybe I should get one,
@@KieranMahoneyseems like you eat water and drink food
awesome info!
Thanks
This has been a great option connected with our starlink over the last several years. Sometimes I notice that text seem to get stuck in space so rebooting the phone will help reset it. - Kyle
OK. How do you turn on wi-fi calling on a i-phone 14? Thanks
Same as the example shown in this video - its settings under cellular.
I think if we pay manufacturer for wifi pakage enable permanent then it wouldwork when no cellular available
Hi, Let's see if I got it. I use T-mobile on my smartphone, the T-Mobile network is strangely fluctuating depending on where I am located in my house, so if I activate wifi calls, my calls will go through the Infiniti network of my home internet network and all this will be free? Really free?
Yes, that's the way it works.
I haven't paid my T-Mobile non-contract bill. Can I make a call?
You need an active phone line that supports this feature.
Thanks! I've always wondered about wifi calling. Never tried it. It would be a great way to make international calls if that works.
Would have been nice if you showed us how to turn it on.
Step by step instructions were shown in the video for both iOS and Android.
@MobileInternetResourceCenter Saw a couple screens pop up but so small and quick, could not read. May have to try viewing on a screen.
