    Hi Slater. Just to inform, using an off-the-air repeater or signal booster, especially if it is a 3rd party device, may introduce interference to the network (Globe, Smart, etc). Not exactly "stealing" signal or coverage from the other users connected to the same network.
    High network interference, low signal quality, bad network connection.

    yung example nya sa signal booster, hindi sya fit for radio frequency. ni-rerepeat nya broadcasted signal from tower and make it more stronger. hindi nya inaagaw yung signal papunta sa loob ng inyong bahay. ang downside lang kasi sa signal boosters, pag maraming users din gumagamit, lalaki din bandwitdh na macoconsume in which magcocause ng network congestion.

    you have misunderstood the use of wifi calling, you can only use if when calling a person who uses the same app, like facebook messenger, viber, you cannot call a person like you do on a gsm call (you have to input their number). and you need an internet for it to work, its just like a calling somene on viber or fb messenger via mobile data use. you cannot receive or send sms on wifi calling thats another story. VoWifi is like VOIP but with the aid of a wifi instead of a wired network. it is different on Voice over LTE and Voice over GSM where your call and text credits are being used per minute. and also it is a Carrier Independent feature. other ISP do not offer it yet, hopefully globe and smart will launch it but until now, haven't heard anyone said it is working. and signal booster is not illegal as long as you don't interfere with the normal operation of the Carriers signals. you are only amplifying your signal and it does not in any way affect any other users, it works like you put a wifi range extender to extend the range of your wifi signal.

    Repeaters are considered illegal when they are imported into the country without permit and are unauthorized for use by the NTC.
    Under NTC Memorandum Order No. 01-02-2013, the sale, purchase, importation, possession or use of cellular mobile repeaters and portable cell sites are illegal. Only licensed CMTS operators, the NDRRRMC and other government agencies involved in national security or safety, authorized by NTC, are authorized to purchase, import, possess and use such devices.

      Does the same rule apply for wifi repeaters? I have crap wifi signal around my house and using a wifi repeater to inscrease my wifi coverage around my house. Is that illegal?

      @@rbeezy20 Hindi po. Signal boosters lang po, mawawalan po kasi ng signal mga katabi niyo ng bahay pag naglagay kayo, kaya bawal.

    Question: kailangan ba may wifi din yung other party na tatawagan mo for them to receive your call using the wifi calling? TYIA.

    • @fauxrcegaming278
      @fauxrcegaming278 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      No. As what have been said, it still charges your calls as if it's on regular network. Given that, it works just like a regular call for both parties.
