These people really amaze me. The way he didn’t just show the “drawer” shut on that last snake, but gave her time to snuggle in. Even when she was so deadly. These are great people. Responsible, brave, professional but also respectful and caring. Loved to see that.

These people are indisputable heroes to mankind. They bravely risk their lives for all of us. Anyone can be bitten by a venomous snake, and the antivenom that is produced that is made from their dangerous work is an undisputable miracle!! Thank you for your hard work!! It is also much appreciated how you can expertly handle these snakes, milk them, and give a lecture in front of a camera simultaneously. Without antivenom, any venomous snakebite is potentially deadly. It is also amazing that more snakebite accidents do not occur considering the "drawers" that these snakes are kept in.

Several things-
I have met the guy(Carl) and he is amazing!! Very down to Earth and always willing to educate people about reptiles, snakes mainly. And he(along with others) have inspired me to go study Herpetology.
When pushing on a venomous snakes head to get them to produce their venom, it doesn't hurt them like we think it does.
Snake venom isn't just used to make the antivenom, it also studied to help create medicines to battle illnesses and in fact, two different snake venoms(I want to say cobra and cottonmouth) are being used to study for cures for cancer and chronic pains(like fibromyalgia and arthritis)
Also, what you may not know is that once you've been bitten enough times in this profession, you actually build up your own immunity to the venom.

11 venomous snake bites during his career, been to the hospital 9 times for invenomation. The average car accident rate doesn't even come close, and probably less lethal on average considering most of them are minor bumps and scrapes.

*Rattlesnakes tend to have that evilish look about them* no matter what and *it's caused by not only the shape of this snakes (this one being specifically The Eastern Diamondback Rattlesnake) but also caused by the "Supraocular"* that causes the eyes to look like they are angry/mean *simply because the Supraocular is basically the equivalent to looking like, when us humans furrow our eyebrows causing us to look angry/mean in our expressions, only the rattlesnake doesn't/can't change the positioning of it's Supraocular like we can our eyebrows causing it to always appear to be angry/mean,* when in fact, *Rattlesnakes would rather scare you off with the shake of it's rattle than to actually seek you out and strike you... They wanna leave you alone just as much as you wanna leave them alone!* Lol
