With just a few affordable upgrades you can have a fun trail atv for the price! Comment what your pros and cons are for your recon!
Recently got a recon myself, its a 2014 with the ES and we havent had any problems with it! The main thing that surprises me is that its almost 100% stock.
They’ll last forever.
I bought my second Recon this year.
The last Recon I bought was last century and it still runs great.
My 38 year old Honda is still trucking

2001 Recon I just bought this year is a tank I love it. It does have a rough idle cold start and that’s about my only concern.
They are awesome machines. You can try to adjust the idle on the carburetor, and see if that helps.
Same. I’m not super mechanical so don’t want to mess with it and make things worse. Usually just run it on half choke and can’t let off throttle until about 5 minutes of warm up. Love the machine though, like it better than my dad’s Polaris 500. Much lighter and more maneuverable.

It’s a pilot brand. I just mounted to the plastic frame on steering. Then ran the wires to the battery.
What parts did you use to add the cigarette lighter power hookup
I used a small hole saw to cut into plastic. Then installed charger with the locker on back and ran wires to battery. Very simple hook up . You can find them on Amazon/ eBay
Wiich lift kit did you use?
It’s just the high lifter kit. So it relocates shock brackets 2in higher
What size are your tires and wheels?
Front 25x8x12 rear 25x10x12. Just the right size for the 2 inch lift. And no rubbing.
What is the screen u have?
It’s a pilot. GPS, speed, time, and battery voltage reader. Nice and simple. Also it lights up at night.
