Still really love this figure. Was a huge fan of the comics and this felt like it just jumped out of the page. Along with Sunfire, they were my favorite figures from this era of Marvel Legends.

It's a decent representation of the character. The ball jointed hips and lack of ankle pivot are something I never want to return. Ball joints are a hassle, and you don't realize how good ankle pivots are until you don't have them.
How Holocaust 295 looked in Exiles was a great look, too. He had more of an X look on his chest. If They made that one, I'd be happy, and he could easily fudge into an AoA display
That’s still one of the best old Hasbro marvel legends waves and baf imo. I have the whole wave loose, so I need to get the baf at some point. I do wish Hasbro would update that version of him though like they did with ares. Slap some new rocker ankles on him and release him in a wave or as a stand alone deluxe release.
I think Marvel should make two more character like this to have a four-person team. The other two would be Regicide (he wears a crown and has a purple feathery robe) And Herbicide (has armor made from dead branches and foliage).
The original is cool but that new one is way more detailed and more upgraded an better looking he looks more real the old one still have a greatness but like life we got too move on 😢
I've still got mine and I've lost count of the amount of times I've had to repair him. From the hinge to that hip ball joint that popped out on your's (the socket wound up cracking on mine) I've been hoping for an update for him after we got those last two waves of AOA figures. I don't mind them doing the 616 Modern version, but I would have preferred them to redo the classic.
Managed to get this at a nice price on eBay sometime back in a bundle but missing that visor piece but still an interesting figure. Never really saw the wave in Malaysia.
cool throwback Xmanny, got this BAF Too, glad there was a Tiger in my area, as she's hardest to find..Its great and all, but if you missed it, I dont think its worth $150 up..maybe a $100 since you'd have spent that much anyway for the wave, but if not just wait for the update.
Really lucky to have won an auction on it recently for $80+ with the hinge still intact though showing signs of stress already (whitening). The torso is also loose on mine. I feel stressed too when someone touches it or it accidentally falls over for some reason 😅 Definitely, one of my grails 😁 Id still probably get the new one though because it's closer to the Nemesis in Marvel Strike Force.
This is the version I had hoped they would reveal. The new one does look amazing with all the new sculpts and is a great representation of that character. But it would've been awesome to have the AOA version. I just love that crossover and will take all the AOA characters I can get. This older version is a good one though. I wasn't collecting back then, so never had the chance. Thanks for the detail on him, I had only seen pictures.
Fantastic throwback review Xmanny. Great concept. It gives some of us collectors who were not collecting at the time of the figure's release a chance to watch a proper modern-day review. Recently on #AnthonysCustoms channel he compared the latest Guile with SOTA's release from more then 10 years ago. I got the same sort of vibe with your review as I did Anthony's. Keep 'em coming brother - as I said I love this throwback review concept. How about the Absorbing Man BAF throwback review next?????
Holocaust looks cool but i have more of an attachment to Genocide from Uncanny X-Force who goes with that Nightcrawler i also find Genocide a more fascinating character
@@Xmanny87 It's because they expand on the Characters backstory, we also know his real name to be William Rolfson and he's the son of Apocalypse and former Horseman of Famine Autumn Rolfson. Not only that but he's just an absolute Beast and Unit of a Villain!
The original Nemesis BAF wave was one of the best waves ever for character selection, and one of, if not the, worst waves ever in terms of the quality of the figures themselves. I’m not a big AoA guy, so I’m cherry picking this new wave.
Manny, I feel like when you get that new one in hand you won’t replace him. That new is awesome and I’m definitely getting him, despite not collecting many post 2005 or 06 X-men but it looks like a Holocaust/Bioshock/Iron Giant hybrid. I don’t mean that negativity, but it would look like putting the BAF Apocalypse with the darker colors from 616 with AOA. You do you, bud but I was going to do the same replace until this review and the color/comic art with Archangel and Nemesis you had in it. Love the reviews.
If it meant us getting an updated AOA Holocaust , I wouldn’t care if Marvel did a Chris Benoit thing and just tweaked history and changed the name in reprints, edited it etc etc. not meaning to make light of that tragedy but couldn’t think of another comparison
to be honest i didn't liked the AOA waves... i think i was not the only one with it that's why they decided to skip that AOA wave release again and go mixed. I like the uncanny x-force Genocide better. Better design in the comics, better back story also and i just love how they portrays that Genocide needs this huge armor- reactor thingy to stay away from killing everything in the area. So I'm definitely pro new look. Also i wanted a Fabien Cortez a long time now.
AoA is my favorite part of my collection. Gambit was the best of the show for me. I’m passing on modern Nemesis. I’m getting only 4 out of 6 figures and maybe Nightcrawler if I catch it on clearance but like the BAF I have zero connection to that version. What I like most about that version of Holocaust is his scale, I don’t think any of the villains should be bigger than Apocalypse . Just my head cannon
As a diehard X-Men fan, I’m copping the whole wave. Nemesis is my most wanted then probably AOA Gambit or Fabian. Been needing those in my collection. Husk and Marrow came out awesome. I’m really digging the whole wave man.
@ after watching this video, I honestly think that Nemesis looks better then I thought. If they can fix the broken hinges on the helmet and get rid of them ball joints on the legs, I’m not against reissuing him again in a box set with the other three Horsemen. I still can see a wave 3 and I’m even more excited to see what that would look like without a BAF Nemesis or Gambit.
I. Don’t have the old one I need the new one I do thing the new one needs a little bright yellow paint to make it pop and ruddier Red the paint scheme could be brighter in some spots and a flame power effect they have got to stop cheaping out on The power effects
I’ll hold out for a update of the AOA version. Who knows when that’ll be. I have no interest in the new one we’re getting. Not that it’s a bad figure but I have no attachment to it.

I was so bummed when they revealed Genocide and not AOA Nemesis. Genocide looks great, but I have been wanting an updated AOA Nemesis for years!

I just bought a sealed wave so hopefully I get the torso piece unbroken.
$300 for a sealed wave vs $200 for Nemesis BaF himself.
Different characters… no need to replace the old figure… because it’s not the same character. Genocide goes with that Uncanny X-force Nightcrawler.
