    So all addictions all have the same root cause? That would explain why i switch from one substance to the next.

      Yes, many addictions share a common root cause, which is the brain's pursuit of dopamine. It can lead to switching between substances or behaviors seeking the same reward.

    i'm in dopamine addiciton from social media...a mix of youtube...twitter and tiktok....mostly twitter and tiktok...that when i do anything else...like studying for example..i feel so sleepy..like it physically manifests..i yawn, i tear up, my body gets so heavy...and the i just know it's my dopamine going down..because it wants me to go back to social media to keep my dopamine levels high. which is why i came across this video because i was sleepy again only after 10 minutes of studying.

    My experience is that I wasn't addicted to dopamine. I was addicted to adrenaline. Dopamine never acts in isolation, it works with adrenaline and serotonin, and can be helpful or harmful. My brain was wired to seek a steady stream of adrenaline and dopamine reinforced that.
    All of the bad stuff is dopamine + adrenaline. The good stuff is dopamine + serotonin.
    There is far too much focus on dopamine and not enough focus on serotonin and adrenaline.

    • @JoinMrSmart
      @JoinMrSmart  ปีที่แล้ว

      It's interesting to hear your perspective on the role of adrenaline and serotonin in addiction. You're right that these neurotransmitters play crucial roles alongside dopamine. Balancing all three is indeed essential for overall well-being. Thanks for sharing your insights! 🧠👍

      You're correct that we can't be addicted to dopamine itself, but the main focus is on how dopamine's role in our behaviors contributes to addiction patterns. I appreciate your input on this topic! If you have more thoughts to share, feel free to do so.

    It doesn't work on everyone the same. A lot of people have a spirit imposed on each person along with his personality. It is important that he does not overdo it like many, if he does not endanger his health and that of other people, ok.

      Music can be a source of pleasure, but it's about finding a balance. If music motivates you to do weight training, that's a positive influence on your overall well-being. Just ensure it doesn't become a distraction from your goals.

    • @JoinMrSmart

      No, it is better to avoid phone altogether. If you want to read a better way is to get hard book. However, if you are sure that you will not get distracted by the phone notifications or any other thing like this, we can read book on mobile device. However, still it is better to get a hard book to read in Dopamine Detox.
