I spent Thanksgiving day at the hospital with my husband who had triple bypass surgery. God bless all the nurses who sacrifice their holidays and time with their loved ones to care for those who are critically ill. Bless them, bless them, bless them ❤️
Hi Linda, oh my goodness. I’m so sorry that you are having to go through this. I can’t even imagine. As we get older, I think about these things more and more. And yes, I agree. My son in law is such a great guy, as they all are! Thank god for them. I will add your husband to my prayers. 🙏🏻

Hi....you are so peppy in your videos, love watching. Hope your Thanksgiving was a good one, we had grown kids, wives, grandkids, total of 12. We are around each other each week numerous times and very careful with others, 5 teachers, 911 dispatcher, 2 firefighters in our bunch. I graduated in 74 in Northern California (grew up there till 20). I live in Texas now.

I love both the tops... I think I like the fabric of the first one best though. You look great! I can tell you've lost some weight.... I need to do some sort of eating right "diet" as have been eating way too many sweets! I always love buying fabrics in person. Have bought a few things online.. I try to buy name brands I know that are good and have had good luck. Fabric.com is a great place to buy and there are a few others that carry quality fabrics. I do love JoAnn's though and have bought fabric there for years and years (love their sales!). I think connecting threads has good fabrics and good prices too. I bought some stretchy fleece today and want to try your gloves!

We had a very quiet Thanksgiving. Not our preference but still lots to be thankful for.

Oh... and our Thanksgiving was small... just hubby and I and I made the full turkey dinner and have TONS of leftovers. Was quite lonely but just learned how to Zoom on my laptop so got my son and his fiance to Zoom with us yesterday and it made all the difference in the world, to be able to see them. They live about 6 hours away so we didn't get together. I did miss the family togetherness, but the Zooming really helped. I ate too much yesterday and too much again today!
Wow! That’s a lot of turkey! Yay for no cooking as you can enjoy those leftovers.
I think so many of us are feeling the loneliness and loss of just being around people. Zoom is nice, and thank goodness for it, but it can’t hug you! Praying for this to end soon!!!

We had a good Thanksgiving dinner with our 3 kids, their spouses and 3 grandkids! We've been attic cleaning and reorganizing so my sewing has taken a backseat. Tomorrow my Christmas decorating will be done and cleaned up so I hope to get to my sewing machine!! I love your ideas and inspiration!! Peggy in Illinois

I braved the public today and went to Joann’s. Patterns are on sale for $0.99 each and if you were buying fabric on the bolt, our Joanna’s was given away anything left on the bolt that was under a yard for free.

Hi, I saw your last video and you mentioned issues with a 12in zipper. Why not cut them down? I buy long zippers on sale and cut them down to any size needed. Do a search on TH-cam for "How to cut a zipper" and tons of options. I didn't know I could cut them until I saw Jenny at Missouri Star Quilt Co. do it. When buying fabric I usually buy 2 yards of knits and 3 of cotton and find it ample for most projects but of course you can never have too much! Whether you call it Friday or Saturday Sews I will tune in for your boost of sunshine! Thank you!

Friday Sews! I need to film today. Go you on the weight loss! I've been doing intermittent fasting and have lost about 10 lbs. The nice thing is that I eat whatever I want - just not whenever I want. Makes a huge difference for me! It's also sustainable because I'm not trying to change what I eat. I always return right back to my old ways once I get to the weight I want . . . our Thanksgiving was fabulous - we spent it with neighbors as our kids didn't want to travel. We're still struggling with Christmas drama over whether or not to do have it together. Sigh. And I have that pattern! Good to know about the darts in the sleeve. I trace most of my patterns too and I've gone through that sleeve-sticky-out-thing before. Drove me crazy! Looks like you found a good fix for it though. I may head over to JoAnns today just to get out of the house. Too much being cooped up! And go you on the drawers! I would have found a way also. My husband always says "where there's a will, there's Jen with a hammer." 😂 ❤️😘

I’m glad you had a nice thanksgiving in these crazy times. We are lucky to have our little family close by, but still hoping to travel and see our son and his family after Christmas. With all these new lockdowns, who knows?

First of all I read in your description box your age! Wow you look fantastic I thought you were my age! I'm 44!! Yes you can totally tell the second shirt looks much better.. The first one is still nice 😊 btw you wanted me to tell you when i started my channel. I have no idea how to edit or do anything but i went in feet first lol. I'm using a new android camera on flip apparently it only records a few min? Idk I'll try the other way the next time. It's called Sew april feel free to give any tips! Thank you for your channel you're one of my top youtubers 😁 I had my thanksgiving today with both of my husband, daughters ,one had her fiance here and my only granddaughter, my son & his wife had to work. But it was a fantastic day😍

Tons of people just use a phone, so that’s no problem. And it should film as long as you want. Anything you can’t figure out, just ask google!!

I would rather look at the fabric. If I am looking for something special, like fireman, navy, music etc I go to Amazon.

It’s the dotted marking paper from Wawak. I bought a big roll that will probably last for my whole life lol!! But it’s great for this purpose. I learned about it at a sewing class that I attended. Good luck! 💙💙💙
