I just wish some pop artists would embrace all the amazing untapped potentiality that exists due to the advancement of technology. There’s so much potentiality with current technology to produce sounds like no one has heard before that doesn’t really seem to be embraced.
A song containing lots of repetition is one thing, and can work well (eg Daft Punk's Around the World). However, when you say "is pop music stuck on repeat?" I take that to mean that the top 100 is filled with bad songs that repeat other bad songs.
We've all seen medicine cabinets, but how about creating a self-care cabinet? Instead of a three-dimensional storage unit, it could be a two-dimensional poster or even a series of post-it notes! Listening to a favorite playlist, video call with a loved one, taking your dog for a walk, cooking a delicious meal...the list is endless. Share what your self-care cabinet would look like!
Leave it alone and let them do their thing. A bunch of fuddy duds whining about teeny bop music. How dare we. I don't see it going down in the annals of masterpieces but neither did "The New Beatles" ie; A Flock of Seagulls. Dumbing down creative art .. hmm, like a tomatoe soup can?
I heard some terrible attempts at remakes of Elton John with a rapper ... rocket man and sacrifice lyrics mixed in one song .... they clearly didn't understand the original songs
_"Is pop music stuck on repeat?"_
Yep. Very much so (with occasional exceptions), and the bad ones seem to be the ones most repeated.
And it’s always on the top charts.

Pop Music is Popular Music so yes it is stuck on repeat but some dont become popular instantly some can take a year or two. Regardless of the genre.

Yes. It’s way overplayed to the point of being an annoying nuisance. I prefer metal 🤘🏻
LAST ATTEMP, that is
well i enjoy my music
why yes it does get stuck in repeat
Wow, so Britney Spears=Shakespeare, huh? Vacuous auto-tuned pablum is deep meaningful art and Bob Dylan is just an old fuddy-duddy too.
I hate to poop in your cheerios but the dumbing down of creative arts is a terrible terrible thing.

New generations listen to current music and only a little old similar stuff. Repetitiveness is OK.
I couldn't open the SET DATE FOR My TRAINING as a possible THOUGHT LEADER
