Why we should search for alien artifacts | Beatriz Villarroel | TEDxZurich

  • For 60 years, astronomers have scoured the Universe for signs of extraterrestrial life, but found nothing. Dr Beatriz Villarroel suggests they are looking for the wrong signs. The pentagon's recent attention to unidentified flying objects inspires a new search for probes from extraterrestrial civilizations in our Solar System. The search has just begun.
Dr. Beatriz Villarroel is an astronomer at the Nordic Institute for Theoretical Physics (Nordita) in Stockholm. She is the project leader of the Vanishing & Appearing Sources during a Century of Observations (VASCO) project (www.vascoproject.org) and the newly founded EXOPROBE project, aiming to find an extraterrestrial probe in the Solar System. This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at www.ted.com/tedx

On topic, as a boy in the late 70’s I caught a glimpse of a geological show 📺, where I witnessed the demeanour of a starch collar presenter, indisputably change, as he investigated the contents of random sample of fossilised igneous sediment, within an American desert 🌵
What he’d inadvertently unearthed, as he intermittently glanced bewildered @ his cameraman, in the middle of that prehistoric deposit was something that resembled a rimshot spark plug ✅ 11:22

Instead of a three-dimensional storage unit, it could be a two-dimensional poster or even a series of post-it notes!

Wow I can actually poke a hole in her argument. And I'm not the scientist that she is obviously. But the amount of light reflected from any size object would be corresponding to the source of light and the odds that it's flashing back to the observer. And beginning to think that they're just isn't enough light energy to reflect off a small objects would have to be very large. The next thought is it's more likely that we'd see lasers being shot by probes or communication intentionally sent. But then again my own opinion is that something that doesn't have to interact on the electromagnetics scale is how they would communicate with us. Back and then neutrino theory

When image was an exocet missile that was heading towards a great Britain cruiser during the Falklands War and the acclamation was that they got a lock on it.
The other image of a wobbling UFO with an orbiting camera was claimed to be a jet traveling at 200 knots. Sure looks like the hobby UFO balloon that flew out of Colorado back when I was a kid. Yes I remember the helicopters chasing a balloon made by people that a kid was thought to be hiding in. Sure looks familiar.

Of the roughly 8 billion people now on the planet, I'm the only person qualified to make conclusive assessment on the macro-ethically also critical topical question on if humanity in the 21st century should search for alien artifacts (or just exo-biosphere-signatures) or not, and my judgement based on the best available holistic overview of the cosmos is that it's a crime and must not be allowed, given the risks of even just the discovery of false positives, towards people are anyway drawn like moths to fire. For those that can recognize what I'm referencing, check Corollary 2.8 on the matter. I'll not tolerate disagreement on this matter.
