Very nice Mike. I used to have an XB 302 ute. C4 and 9 inch. It was a tuff old girl. Also had an XB GS Coupe with factory sunroof. Sold it to a mate for cheap. How stupid I was.
Great combination of running gear. But I would have deleted falcon 500 badges. Makes it look base model. 2nd ,I would have color code sprayed the bmprs. And last ,definitely different rims. Other than that. Treat..
Different taste for everyone I guess I actually made a point of having the badges and chrome bumpers. On the wheels I would be interested in hearing what wheels you would use. I did and sometimes still do consider some original style 12 slotters in 15” diameter. Like a 15x7 front and 15x8 rear, but I always tend to stick to what’s on there. Also check my XB ute walk around. It has lots more detail in the video. I also have XB Coupe Resto videos and XB how to videos with more coming up shortly. Doing more work on XB’s.
@@MikesManCave Hey Mike I'm def not bagging your work nor resto xb. I'm a true blue FORD dude 100% I have a very rare XE GHIA E.S.P 5.8 Manual with a lot of special goodies. A Nov '82 last month clevo build. I also have two Ltds. DCII and a DU II both 5ltr. Don't stress mate I LOVE XB'S. If you still wanted a traditional rim look ,maybe a set of globes or try a set of 5 slots. 12 slotters have been done to death. Me id go for a set of more modern dressy rims . Maybe 19s and 18s. Or a more pro street look welds or such Anyway look forward to your nxt vid. Keep in rokkin!😎🍻 Kim.
@@kimbarling4213 Haha no problems I absolutely hate new large diameter rims on old Fords. Anything bigger than a 15" is a no no to me. You would probably like my XB GS Big Block Coups build then. I really wanted an XE ESP Giha 351 manual, was my dream car when they came out, poor me was driving an XB GT at the time and had a XB GS 351 Toploader Coupe in the garage, but they were worth nothing then. Strange how things change, sold the GT for a pocket full of change, lucky I kept the Coupe, because I would not be buying one today, been off the road for around 12 or 13 years now..... may be 2021 is the year. By the way Coupe is now a stroked big block with a bullnose toploader full of billet gears and shafts and and a full Mark Williams drive shaft and 9".

Just how it should be💪☝ My ESP for a long time did not garnet much attention at carshows,then in 2015 something changed, it came if age like a fine wine. And started to get attention. Since 2018 it became a rockstar. Now its more akin to the centrefold stripper yiu wanna f##k. Can't even park it at a show and half a dozen ppl already crowding around When our crew go for a cruise 10 cars ,its usually mine ppl take photos or qk video of on the road. My GMH brock Commodore mates are visibly jealous. And as attention now sores ,so does interest in buyers and value. Some ppl have estimated $100-150k for my special combo. If I told you what I paid 20 yrs ago you'd cry !
Mate I know. I sold a mint XB GT for 6k because it was auto then passed on a XB GT manual sunroof etc for 8K as it was too expensive. 🤣🤣 passed on a genuine Phase three years ago in mint condition stored on blocks for 25k because it was crazy money. Now look at what these cars would be worth. 😩😩
Beautiful job Mike, love the old XA XB and XC fords. Those alloy wheels look amazing at 5:20 in the video, do you know what brand and style they are? (they appear to be different to the wheels at the end of the video)
They are the exact same wheels just a different width. the wider ones scrape and carry on and make the car almost undriveable and illegal for road use hence changing them to the correct size wheel for the car. The wheels are called Performance Challenger.

@@pnr9730 They were still affordable in the 90's, had an XB GT as a daily driver back then. Sold it before they were worth anything.

Hindsight is a wonderful thing isn't it?? Wish I had never sold my old XB GT for pocket change when no one wanted them.
