Starring and executive produced by Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman, “Long Way Up” reunites the best friends after more than a decade since their last motorbike adventure around the world.
Covering 13,000 miles over 100 days through 16 border crossings and 13 countries, starting from the city of Ushuaia at the tip of South America, Ewan and Charley journey through the glorious and underexposed landscapes of South and Central America in their most challenging expedition to date, using cutting-edge technology on the backs of their prototype electric Harley-Davidsons in order to contribute to the sustainability of the planet.
The new series will follow Ewan and Charley as they journey through Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Peru, Ecuador and up through Colombia, Central America and Mexico. Also joining them are their longtime collaborators, directors David Alexanian and Russ Malkin, following them in their electric Rivians.

Loved Long Way Down etc, but struggled to stay awake, time to change the template!
Not sure if you've seen the actual Long Way Up, but this is just raw footage of them riding, not the show.
Heck yeah, if the tech was perfected and or solar, ultimate way to travel!
45 mph... Bro that's insanely slow on a highway
Those aren't multi-lane highways like we have in the states. If you watch the video, they're riding through twisty mountain roads, not big interstate highways. And they probably had to ride at those speeds to get more mileage out of the batteries.
I prefer the feeling of shifting gears!

About exciting as watching paint dry
I would have an electric motorcycle provided I have a 3.5 tonne generator and a flat bed truck to carry it as they did.
Electric bikes? Absolutely no thanks!
No fuckin gloves on!
The show is pretty cool but OMG is electric not the way to go. Like everything else in tech world. We put in to use, our creations, before we profect them.
Perhaps change the title

Harley is usually a decade late catching up to a trend. With the live wire, id argue they were almost a decade early. Perhaps that was part of the plan however.
@@pauliewalnuts240 like everything else’s, right tool for the right job. For a major trip in such conditions, to my limited knowledge one EV’s, this tool does not exist yet. The amount of miles covered per day was crazy low. When I travel, I cover 500 to 800 a day for three or four days because I can’t afford to take a Month or Months off and I certainly do not have millions to back me on a trip.
I actually hate Harley but this wasn’t a Harley issue, this was a “We just aren’t there yet and this trip proved it.
Way to close to the yellow line Ewan..
