    I think the shifter is great for racing and no lift shifting but street driving seems like a pain. That's why I never got one.

    EFspeedworks: Love the car, cpl quick questions for you:
    1) Does the S1 make the car less likely to stall as in being in 3rd gear at a stop light and having it in the neutral that you said is easy to enter by pushing half way on lever?
    2) If your car ran, say, a 10.8 1/4 mile with normal t56, what do you think it would run with an s1 that's perfectly set up?
    3) I'm building a 383 stroker NA s13, I know they idle a little slow so I'm a little concerned with it stalling with the s1 (not really a question ) To the Ppl saying it's not streetable: Isn't being forced to go through every gear without skipping like you would in a normal trans altogether healthier for the trans/synchros, like skipping gears out of convenience with a normal trans isn't good (not horrible I guess but not ideal) similar to putting car into neutral after a pull to 5th or 6th gear (that's supposed to be bad for trans too and you're supposed to leave it in whatever gear you ended up in after every pull. The S1 seems to eliminate those bad habits so that's a plus

      1) so stalling in my opinion it has everything to do with the clutch but its really easy to jump into neutral from any gear.
      2) it’s a synchro transmission so it’s only gonna let you shift so fast. From all the testing s1 has done they have shifted quicker. But if you are fast with your hands I think you can shift just as quick with h pattern
      3)buy it now t makes the driving experience so much different than H pattern. I love the shifter its fun to drive with it and is a great 2 thousand dollar conversation starter 😂

    What rebuild kit did you go with for the 5.3L? I have a 86 Z31 I’m swapping an LM7 into, but was curious what the stock bottom end could handle or if it’s worth upgrading. I’ll be pushing relatively low boost

      I have a stock bottom end 6.0 gen 4 ly6, about 800whp no issues. I don’t see why you couldn’t make 550-650 with a good tune on that

    Sort of hard to tell but can you just hold down the clutch and bump it through the gears or do you have to press down the clutch and release the clutch every single gear??
    Example skip shift 1-3 just hold down the clutch, pull back twice, release clutch??

      Ly6, vsr billet 80mm 4 inch round downpipe go 4 inch oval under the car to a custom paradox 4 inch muffler

    If you change gear you push the clutch or not?

      Yes still have to use clutch

      If you're on a budget, no. If you have a spare $2k, it is worth it.

    I think is not worth the money... maybe just for people who have serious problems to shift with standard H pattern, slip the gears because they went nervous or whatever but other than that looks like is more anoying than useful...
