Yes you can. That's called the ON GRID System... You can use all the things with solar... In this type you will produce electricity from solar and send it to TNEB and get it from TNEB to use it... But during a power cut, your solar system won't work for safety reasons... You can use things in solar even at night also if you installed enough panels to produce excess power during the day and get it from TNEB at night time to use...

Glad you asked. For running heavy appliances is not a big deal and there is no need to spend 10 lakhs. 5kva inverter with 48v battery bank could run all the loads like AC, bore well upto 500ft, steam iron, fridge, etc. I have had success running these with 2.6kva inverter to run 1hp pump. 3.7kva would be sufficient for many. Cost might not go beyond 2 lakhs for the same. If the requirements are more complex than these, inverter array can be used along with ess. Comments welcome.
@@NaveenResearchTamil Im accepting we can run heavy loan ac and induction in 4 KV inverter with 48 v combo but . How long can we run this for a day . That is the problem here . So we need to keep array of battery to achieve it and we need to do maintenance properly for batteries and it will reach upto 2 lakh for a minimum setup . Instead we can go for on grid net metering by spending less than that . Intha 2 lakhs setup ku 48 v battery la oru 1 hour we can run AC right .
Running essential load in solar is still cheaper. Running AC is luxury and it has its own cost. For battery array, I would make myself a single 48v 400ah lithium powerwall module.
@@NaveenResearchTamil i don't think ac in Chennai is luxury. It can make life uncomfortable. See it is like this, i agree with Rajkumar, for heavy consumers, on grid makes a lot of sense. For that matter solar only makes sense if your bi monthly bill is excess of 7.5k to 10k. I have a villa and im in net metering with 4kw waree mono half cut with enphase micro inverter and envoy. The total setup with meter costs up to 2.8lakhs. But I'll be able to run everything in this setup. I also can monitor the consumption via app and decide on the bandwidth. With eb hikes imminent, our power bill would have crossed 15k too. So for heavy consumers, on grid is extremely beneficial. And again, time of use tariff can come and make this less desirable, and also network charges are at 20% subsidy atm of the 1.27 perKw uploaded. That can be increased too. But given all this , still when i consume everything, my bi monthly bill now 323rs. That's like whopping 7.5-8k saving. So with 8k*6 for a year, which is 48k. Divide my 2.8l( i have a company so i claimed gst input. Not taking that benefit here as not everyone will be able to avail) by 48 then i break even by 2027. From then on clean free energy for my home. Also my panel is waree which is superb quality so can last 20+yrs( talking abt efficiency) and enphase comes with 10yr warranty. So absolutely no cost of replacement like battery to calculate break even. So my point is, your monthly usage dictates solar. Also enphase and other tech is 15 yrs old in the west. We are just getting into those. Panasonic/LG panels are not even avl here. West has very less sunny days and also hail/winter. We have 355 sunny days. So even a poly should generate decent kWh a day. Also i have generator for those power outage situation. Trust me tried all other clean backup but has lots of issues in practical usage. Even Tesla powerwall won't work in our conditions. A 5kw petrol Honda Generator is best solution so far. To sum up, Upto monthly 300 units no need for solar or it doesn't make sense 300-500 may be 1kw your system. 500-700 off grid 2kw Above 700 - on grid net metering. Typically this segment is penalized heavily and it makes sense for them to go clean energy and reduce costs. Also on grid with battery is a crime and you should educate your viewers to never do it as it can take someone's life. P.S: when i mean on grid in my comments, it is net metering. There use to be net feed in billing which is useless for heavy consumers. Net feed in can make zero bill for less than 400 units consumers but never possible in net metering bcos of network charges. So you are away for two months , and didn't setup zero upload in enphase(or other such devices), all units exported will attract network charges. Which is at 1.27rs per kWh and has subsided of 80% currently. This can change and increase bill later. But still for heavy consumers it is worth it. That's where inteligent micro inverters like enphase comes to rescue. You can set up profiles depending on consumption and save on both day time and night usage and reduce exports completely to save further.
Not to make a controversy here, Chennai specifically can have a different kind of solution. Provided the fact that chennai is densely populated, govt can do better solutions for cities like chennai and coimbatore. Imagine a solution like people in chennai can setup a solar plant anywhere in tamilnadu and since they are already paying the network charges for the grid utilization, it doesnt have to be physically present in chennai. Produce anywhere in the state, utilize anywhere in the state, would be simple this way. In my videos I mostly discuss about solutions for most homes which is distributed all over tamilnadu but not specific to any city. Hence my views differ. And even for people like me who has setups with higher efficiency could still include solar, its not just money saving, its nature saving. Thanks.

For running heavy appliances is not a big deal and there is no need to spend 10 lakhs.
5kva inverter with 48v battery bank could run all the loads like AC, bore well upto 500ft, steam iron, fridge, etc. I have had success running these with 2.6kva inverter to run 1hp pump.
3.7kva would be sufficient for many. Cost might not go beyond 2 lakhs for the same.
If the requirements are more complex than these, inverter array can be used along with ess.

So we need to keep array of battery to achieve it and we need to do maintenance properly for batteries and it will reach upto 2 lakh for a minimum setup . Instead we can go for on grid net metering by spending less than that . Intha 2 lakhs setup ku 48 v battery la oru 1 hour we can run AC right .
Running essential load in solar is still cheaper.
Running AC is luxury and it has its own cost.
For battery array, I would make myself a single 48v 400ah lithium powerwall module.
@@NaveenResearchTamil i don't think ac in Chennai is luxury. It can make life uncomfortable. See it is like this, i agree with Rajkumar, for heavy consumers, on grid makes a lot of sense. For that matter solar only makes sense if your bi monthly bill is excess of 7.5k to 10k. I have a villa and im in net metering with 4kw waree mono half cut with enphase micro inverter and envoy. The total setup with meter costs up to 2.8lakhs. But I'll be able to run everything in this setup. I also can monitor the consumption via app and decide on the bandwidth. With eb hikes imminent, our power bill would have crossed 15k too. So for heavy consumers, on grid is extremely beneficial. And again, time of use tariff can come and make this less desirable, and also network charges are at 20% subsidy atm of the 1.27 perKw uploaded. That can be increased too. But given all this , still when i consume everything, my bi monthly bill now 323rs. That's like whopping 7.5-8k saving. So with 8k*6 for a year, which is 48k. Divide my 2.8l( i have a company so i claimed gst input. Not taking that benefit here as not everyone will be able to avail) by 48 then i break even by 2027. From then on clean free energy for my home. Also my panel is waree which is superb quality so can last 20+yrs( talking abt efficiency) and enphase comes with 10yr warranty. So absolutely no cost of replacement like battery to calculate break even. So my point is, your monthly usage dictates solar. Also enphase and other tech is 15 yrs old in the west. We are just getting into those. Panasonic/LG panels are not even avl here. West has very less sunny days and also hail/winter. We have 355 sunny days. So even a poly should generate decent kWh a day. Also i have generator for those power outage situation. Trust me tried all other clean backup but has lots of issues in practical usage. Even Tesla powerwall won't work in our conditions. A 5kw petrol Honda Generator is best solution so far.
To sum up,
Upto monthly 300 units no need for solar or it doesn't make sense
300-500 may be 1kw your system.
500-700 off grid 2kw
Above 700 - on grid net metering. Typically this segment is penalized heavily and it makes sense for them to go clean energy and reduce costs.
Also on grid with battery is a crime and you should educate your viewers to never do it as it can take someone's life.
P.S: when i mean on grid in my comments, it is net metering. There use to be net feed in billing which is useless for heavy consumers. Net feed in can make zero bill for less than 400 units consumers but never possible in net metering bcos of network charges. So you are away for two months , and didn't setup zero upload in enphase(or other such devices), all units exported will attract network charges. Which is at 1.27rs per kWh and has subsided of 80% currently. This can change and increase bill later. But still for heavy consumers it is worth it. That's where inteligent micro inverters like enphase comes to rescue. You can set up profiles depending on consumption and save on both day time and night usage and reduce exports completely to save further.
Not to make a controversy here, Chennai specifically can have a different kind of solution.
Provided the fact that chennai is densely populated, govt can do better solutions for cities like chennai and coimbatore.
Imagine a solution like people in chennai can setup a solar plant anywhere in tamilnadu and since they are already paying the network charges for the grid utilization, it doesnt have to be physically present in chennai.
Produce anywhere in the state, utilize anywhere in the state, would be simple this way.
In my videos I mostly discuss about solutions for most homes which is distributed all over tamilnadu but not specific to any city. Hence my views differ. And even for people like me who has setups with higher efficiency could still include solar, its not just money saving, its nature saving.
