This game is turning out not only to be the ultimate Smash game. It also feels like the ultimate celebration of anything Nintendo is and the Art they put out there. I'm so looking forward to this T.T
It's not just Nintendo, it's video games in general. There are just *SO MANY* franchises and IPs represented in this one game, whether they be playable, assists, collectible trophies, or even just songs in the soundtrack. It's absolutely bonkers.

The gaps in the mural were not in the one shown at E3. Characters have also been moved around. I am thinking as more and more characters are added to the game, the mural will just get bigger as each character is added to it.
And, get this, we will probably get even more announcements. If not for live characters, then for DLC stuff. This game is insanely packed with content. THIS is what AAA means!
I loved everything about the production of this direct, and it felt really gratifying to hear that feeling properly explained in words, and then broken down and analyzed. A lot of the other reaction videos are all about the loud hype and the content itself, which is good too, but the very steady discussion of the direct from a meta/behind-the-scenes perspective was really refreshing.
If anyone from EZA is reading this (Blood maybe?) tell the guys this setup right now looks SLICK. The blue light on the wall in the centre, lots of nice gradients, the two hosts framed by the shadows at the edges of the background, the hosts in their own lights. When people groan about Nintendo getting into movies given the history of video game movies or even ties ins outside the rare few exceptions, if they did a feature that was nothing but the team that makes these reveal trailers but have a interconnected story, it’d be a comedy joy, Luigi Mansion could be the Disney/Nintendo version of Ghostbusters and nearly all these characters barely speak and yet are still so effective.

Paul Moore Blue sky atleast made a few good movies (Ice age, robots and the new peanuts looks nice). Illumination consistently make cheap bad stuff. The first despicable me is the only one they have made that was even slightly good.

The smash games are always, ALWAYS packed to the brim with stuff. Not only that, but the smash games are almost always a much higher quality than most other games. The fact that Nintendo, or anyone, can make games like this over and over again is impressive. It’s one of the few games that are legit worth more than $60 just for the content and quality. Assuming this game has the same quality as Breath of the Wild, for example, I wouldn’t mind paying a lot for this. If they add a story mode to this, it’s easily worth the price of 2 games.

the pixelated icon looked like the Subspace icon to be honest, but if not something this big hiding could ether be a far more built up version of Smash Run, or a custom making stage that dwarfs the previous two in sheer creativity, and to be honest, i'm ok with ether of the three. Please just not let it be another Smash Tour.
couple things I noticed with K. Rools' final smash: 1) Isn't that K. Rool's island from the 64 game? 2) The island from the 64 game looks like it was pull right out of the game, adding to the theme of 'If its a 64 era title, make it look the part.' 3) When D.K. Island blows up it goes all black and red (and blue). The whole island becomes silhouetted and the color scheme matches up with a hand full of D.K. levels with the same esthetic themes (Donkey Kong silhouetted on top of a high contrast background with only his signature red tie showing.) 4) It may be one of the most balls to the walls super move I've see in a game like this. 5) idk, I'm now on a hype train that I did even realize I bought a ticket for.
OOOOH I figured out the ??? shadow on Dracula's Castle stage..IT'S KID DRACULA!! It's Alucard as a kid when he looked up to his dad, there were like two spin off games for Kid Dracula waaay back in the day and outside of a Konami racing game he hasn't been seen since.
I definitely agree with Maximilian Dood's assessment of Smash. For context, it's during a stream highlight vid when he was comparing different fighting games to various foods. When he got to Smash, he compared it to an all you can eat buffet where they have a little bit of everything.

I haven't had a smash game since brawl for the Wii and just the hype alone from these directs has pulled me back after almost 10 years it's amazing the fanservice in this fucking game! Castlevania I can finally bring my ancient gamer family in and even they has character from they're childhood too only Nintendo can do this
That blurred section has to be the story mode. It has to. The custcenes are too good to just be throwaways and it seems to be telling some sort of story. Not only that but have you noticed that amount of villains in the game? Chances are they'll be bosses. Only 4 months left.
Spicy Puffin that's what I got from the use of the CG, too. No way they're spending all that time on CG just to use it for hype and not be included in the game. Not thinking there will be a ton of CG, but I'm sure there's more.
the characters reveal always had good CG, just look at the reveals for sm4sh, who weren't in the games. Though I agree, the blurred green part on the menu must be a solo mode or something like that, there's no way around it.
Lucent This doesn't really make sense seeing as Smash 4 also did Hugh quality CG trailers and didn't have story. However I think the theme of the characters dying and the amount of villans does mean we will get a story.

To add on to the point of how the narrator doesn't try to sell you on anything - this is something they do really well. Nintendo, and Smash specifically, has a tendency to let their fans hype themselves up rather than try to over exaggerate it. It's something I really love because then it feels like I'll actually enjoy it because when they told us monotonely about it, I felt excited because of it itself, not how I was told about it.
You know I see those 32 castlevania tracks and in the back of my mind I’m like, but where is Bloody Tears? I mean it’s soo iconic. Its probably called something else. This new Smash is without a doubt the ultimate anniversary game and always will be since 73 fighters, over 300 stages when counting every stage having their original design, a battle field and final destination designs and at about if not above 900 songs to lay down the smackdown to. this game will be an early 20th anniversary game.
Nikki is from the 3DS 'Swapnote' app and it's follow-up, 'Swapdoodle'; the former is no longer available after some never-do-wells began using it for less than savory purposes, or if it is, it's been heavily reworked to be a shadow of it's former self....

Yeah. Think about it, Rathalos is a boss, similar to raquaza and bosses from subspace, and that stage looks pretty similar to stages from subspace.

OOOOH I figured out the ??? shadow on Dracula's Castle stage..IT'S KID DRACULA!! It's Alucard as a kid when he looked up to his dad, there were like two spin off games for Kid Dracula waaay back in the day and outside of a Konami racing game he hasn't been seen since.

I definitely agree with Maximilian Dood's assessment of Smash. For context, it's during a stream highlight vid when he was comparing different fighting games to various foods. When he got to Smash, he compared it to an all you can eat buffet where they have a little bit of everything.

I haven't had a smash game since brawl for the Wii and just the hype alone from these directs has pulled me back after almost 10 years it's amazing the fanservice in this fucking game! Castlevania I can finally bring my ancient gamer family in and even they has character from they're childhood too only Nintendo can do this
Theory with no way to back it up: censored mode is for emulating past smash titles. It's prolly won't happen but that would be awesome.

That blurred section has to be the story mode. It has to. The custcenes are too good to just be throwaways and it seems to be telling some sort of story. Not only that but have you noticed that amount of villains in the game? Chances are they'll be bosses. Only 4 months left.
Spicy Puffin that's what I got from the use of the CG, too. No way they're spending all that time on CG just to use it for hype and not be included in the game. Not thinking there will be a ton of CG, but I'm sure there's more.
the characters reveal always had good CG, just look at the reveals for sm4sh, who weren't in the games.
Though I agree, the blurred green part on the menu must be a solo mode or something like that, there's no way around it.
Lucent This doesn't really make sense seeing as Smash 4 also did Hugh quality CG trailers and didn't have story.
However I think the theme of the characters dying and the amount of villans does mean we will get a story.
Ahh. Guess I didn't realize that. I didn't really keep up with Sm4sh because I was done with Wii U since Nintendo wasn't doing a very good job with the support. Could tell they were getting ready to give up on the system.
@@diersteinjulien6773 You got a point. Granted the trailers for sm4sh was more of a "here comes a new challenger vibe". These new cg cutscenes seem much more connected. Atleast to me.

All I wanted when I saw Simon was announced was to see Brandon's reaction. This made my day :)
To add on to the point of how the narrator doesn't try to sell you on anything - this is something they do really well. Nintendo, and Smash specifically, has a tendency to let their fans hype themselves up rather than try to over exaggerate it. It's something I really love because then it feels like I'll actually enjoy it because when they told us monotonely about it, I felt excited because of it itself, not how I was told about it.
You know I see those 32 castlevania tracks and in the back of my mind I’m like, but where is Bloody Tears? I mean it’s soo iconic. Its probably called something else.

Edit: On the Smash website the song is up. It’s called Bloody Tears/Monster Dance which is basically a medley of Castlevania 2
This new Smash is without a doubt the ultimate anniversary game and always will be since 73 fighters, over 300 stages when counting every stage having their original design, a battle field and final destination designs and at about if not above 900 songs to lay down the smackdown to. this game will be an early 20th anniversary game.
I hope during the next Easy Allies Podcast someone says, "EVERYBODY SHUT UP! Smash is now #1!"
