I will attest to how good Porsche Cayennes are. We bought a new S four years ago. Even after pouring over every other vehicle available now we are ordering a GTS, and I have never purchased the same model vehicle twice in a row. One simply cannot overstate the build quality in these cars. (Are you listening Mercedes?)
If you can not afford it, do not worry about it, and do not slam on others who may own or wish to own one. You can buy the garden variety Toyota/Honda and be content.
Twin turbo v8 only putting out 493hp? Maybe i'm spoiled from the 15-20 years of hp wars throughout the Automotive industry.....sounds like an underestimate
They make room for Turbo and Turbo S models etc. The engine makes a lot more in other VW brand cars. I also guessing they want to make the "E-hybrid" cool with more hp and extra 400kg weight. Also german hp is probobly closer to 560hp in real life.
🙄 The "coupe" costs 5,000 more dollars for less car. Okay. With options + tax, you're looking at an outlay of at least $140,000 for even the lower-priced Cayenne GTS. But we're overlooking the larger issue: the notion of a "sporty" 2.5 ton SUV is preposterous. Mind, I LOVE Porsche. The sports cars are genius. The Macan, EV or not, is an attractive proposition, as is the lower-end Cayenne; both SUVs are legit alternatives to luxury sedans. But this over-powered and, I daresay childish, model is catnip for the wholly irrational. Either get a lighter, better handling (sportier) car and/or save some $ on an SUV without sporting pretension. For the cost of one new Cayenne GTS, one could get the better Porsche experience with a 718 AND then get a Honda CRV - or a Mazda CX-90 - for the kids/dog/golf clubs ... and have money left over.
Nice car, but I would choose the X5 M60i any day over the Cayenne. Much better performance and practicality and at least $30K cheaper. Also, the hoodless instrument cluster just looks odd and cheap. Belongs in a Subaru.
@@andyleo8418 No, I can tell YOU actually have never owned a Porsche SUV and a BMW SUV, which is necessary to really know what you’re talking about. Those who actually have owned both will know what each vehicles strengths are. For Porsche, it is not build quality and materials. From experience, comparing the 6-cylinder engines, the Cayenne’s engine is a little grainy and unrefined. It’s an Audi V6 turbo. You can actually feel the vibration on your right knee. Also, a bit in the pedal. I thought that was a one off thing, but I have experienced it in 2 other Cayennes, including a 2024. Also, the Bose sound system has its subs in the front doors, which is an outdated design. BMW and Mercedes put them in the floor or firewall. As a result, the Cayenne’s panels rattle like an economy car. The plastics in the cabin have a much cheaper feel than the X5’s also. I wouldn’t say the build quality is bad, it’s just nowhere near BMW’s. The straight line acceleration is also a huge disappointment in the Cayenne base V6. The B58 inline 6 in the base X5 is putting up similar performance to the Cayenne S (V8). The refinement in the BMW’s engine is on another level. Where the Cayenne beats the BMW is handling. It DEFINITELY handles better. But the BMW is no slouch in that department. The biggest problem with the X5’s handling is that it understeers slightly on initial turn in, then it gives the back out mid-corner. So you never feel like you’re on rails. Factor in the 20K price difference when comparing apples to apples (6 cyl), and it’s clear which is the better car for the money. The fact of the matter is that Porsche is a relatively new player in the luxury sedan/suv market. Their SUVs are nothing like their sports cars. BMW, Mercedes and Audi have been doing it for 100 years.
@@andyleo8418 Oh, and forgot to mention my biggest gripe of all, the Cayenne’s backup camera is trash! The resolution is on par with cars that came out 10-15 years ago. This blows my mind every time I get out of the X5 and jump in the Cayenne. Go test drive one, bro 😂
I have the type of personality where if I was buying one of these, I would just have to get the Turbo GT. There’s no way I can buy the slower one knowing that there’s a faster one out there.
I just don't understand these crossovers. They are for men whose wives said they have to get a minivan and compromised on a crossover? Older men who can't get into and out of a sports car? It can have the power and false exhaust note and handling similar to as sports car, but in the end it is still a minivan with doors.
Because some people want a vehicle that has more than a cubby hole under the bonnet. SUV’s are basically the modern day wagon, and the fact that they can make them fairly fun to drive is just a bonus. Now those SUV “Coupes”, on the other hand, well, those are just stupid.
Porsche Engineering. Precision. Quality. 💯
Silly people hating on a better SUV just because they can’t afford it

Agreed. I own a '16 GTS and just ordered a '25 GTS. Trading in the '16. Actually hate to see it go, it was that good a car.
2022 GTS is the most reliable vehicle I’ve encountered.

Its very expensive but if you can afford the car than you can also afford the maintenance.

It turned three this year and has been very reliable.
And I hardly bought any options

Dull video
Just a voiceover different clips
Not very organic
And this is usually a good channel
Why just 3 gauges? Don’t Cayenne’s get 5?
It’s super configurable with controls on the steering wheel. More info than you ever need.
