Hi Chris, Great videos of your cammed Fairlane. After I had to sell my Harley because, this old fart was getting a bit poorly with shoulders and legs, so I got hold of a BF Fairlane Barra. Had it for about 12mts or so. Was cheap to run etc, plus had good enuff power for what I needed, BUT, I should never have sold my 2003 BA G220 Fairlane. Did heaps with mechanicale stuff, was getting 8.5 to 10.5 on a trip, Was a real buit, but silly me sold her. DUMB, DUMB. Well, this BF Fairlane was ok, but it just wasn't a G220. So, got out of that after accident and having it written with insurance, and Guess what. I got another G220 Fairlane, this was a BA MkII, wasn't looked after much but with my TLC fingers, I'll get it to close to my last BA G220. I truly love BA/BF Fairlanes, but mainly the G220's. Can you give me some numbers or figurs with your cams etc?? I'm NOT after big speed, just good reliable, cheap to run (better than stock factory). My old Black G220, she was dynoed and got just under 300 RWH, only had Pacemakers, 100 Cell cats, twin 3" all the way to small dumps at back. BIG mouth Air Injection. She loved sitting 110 to 130's all day and even that higher speed she still got 9's on a trimp along the Murry towns. Keep it going all and Be SAFE. Cheers Teddy
Well...she lost power pretty quick once she was halfway through the tree trunk but after I pulled myself out of the dashboard and ripped the seatcover out of my arse I am guessing the horses were enough.
Hey mate, going off memory I think the cams were about $900 delivered to my door from the US. A mate and I fitted them, so I can't comment on how much it would be to have them fitted too. Power is a mere 300rwhp, but the torque makes it feel like it has more.
Yeah I'm only pushing 260rwhp but I've got 650nm torque which makes it keep up with bigger hp cars but need more power and cams sound nice. was it a cam kit or just the cams and you used the factory valve springs?
Mate, I couldn't honestly tell you as I don't really remember - The work was done about 5 years ago. The cams I have in mine are Brenspeed Detroit Rockers, I had them shipped over from the US and I THINK it was about $900 all up delivered to my door. I'm going off memory here, so I could be wrong, but that sounds about right. I can't remember how much I paid for the tune, but they're all muchness muchness really.
Sounds like a v8 supercar. Love it.

Where did you get the cats from I can’t find any for the 220 3v
Got the cats from the local shelter but got all the horses from FORD.
That sounds awesome!
I just bought a BF Fairlane G8 and was wondering who would you recommend in Perth for 3V 5.4 performance work. Thanks :)
did you ever end up finding someone?
Hey! Sorry, new username, no I ended up wrapped around a ghost gum. My mates call me cuddlepot or snugglepie depending on their mood.
Mate how did you fit the xr8 intake, show us a video please
any more vids ?
Any more stupid questions?
Great sound! How do the cams affect drivability and where along the powerband do you get torque gains? Cheers
