    When I started watching your vlogs, I was still in my senior high school, and you were in college. When I started my college years, you were one of my inspirations. There is something very motivational about seeing you with these vlogs and podcasts. Then for the past years, I stopped watching any videos like this, I was kind of in the phase of quitting, I guess. Now I've been keeping myself on track and craving this kind of motivational video. I didn't even realize you're in your Masters now lol and now I'm on my
    4th year. Me and one of the persons I'm looking up to has grown a lot! Looking forward to seeing you soon as an Architect!

    Hello Thomas. For many years I tried to find my profession and I did not know what to become. Last year I began to work on myself and decide on my future. There were many options but I didn't know which one to choose. But after your video "A day in the life of Architecture student" I wanted to become an architect. But then I could not believe what I would do. But this year, thanks to you, I'm a first year architecture student😄.I want to THANK A LOT TO YOU. Thanks for your inspiration and motivation. I found my passion because of you. Now I want to do it for the rest of my life. Please dont stop making archi videos they are helping me a lot. Im very grateful to God that i found THAT video!!!😊😊😊
    Please keep doing what you're doing!!
    And i wish you great success.
    Thank you!

    I definitely recommend saving often and saving multiple versions because I have had file corruptions before in Rhino a week before finals and it reset me back two weeks.

    I really like your ideas, the workflow and your portfolio!
    I‘ts just sad that the projects are very often unrealistic… it’s nice to build some inspiration for maybe real projects but this eats so much time and work

    • @ThomasRowntree
      @ThomasRowntree  ปีที่แล้ว +6

      yes they are pretty unrealistic but i like to make the most of university when i get the chance to design unrealistic stuff 😂

    Hi Thomas, I'm applying to study architecture in september. Would you say commuting to university would be suitable for this kind of intensive course. I currently live 30 minutes away from the university and with the money that i would save i beleive it would put me in a better place for the future.

    • @wickeddreamer713
      @wickeddreamer713 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      In first year it might be hard, since you’re probably gonna have to be adjusting a lot. But I’d say 30 minutes is fine. I started second year and I drive an hour to my arch school and an hour back. So definitely doable if you have the right mindset.

    • @JoshFridge
      @JoshFridge 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It's really just going to come down to how your school approach's studio time, 30 minutes should be fine regardless but you might have some late trips home in the dark

    • @ThomasRowntree
      @ThomasRowntree  ปีที่แล้ว

      yes it would be worth saving the money but also consider that you will want to socialise with students at the uni and in the evenings to get the full university experience but a 30 minute commute is ideal
