I came back from Japan and it was great to shop there. My recommendation is to visit both Akihabara in Tokyo and Denden Town in Osaka. If you can only do one, do Denden Town since the area is a bit more dense in terms of card shops and you can easily visit a dozen stores in a short amount of time.
