Hey man. I'm a fellow TH-camr and I spent the last couple of days checking out some of the online guitar courses for a review video. In my opinion, your video is fantastic. I've been a member of TrueFire for years and I'm currently taking Dave Stryker's Artist Works course. Both are an incredible value and I highly recommend them. I personally think that Fender Play is the best course for beginners. High quality and they take all the thinking out of it with well thought out, bite size lessons, that I think are perfect for the beginner. Justin guitar is great but for $50 a year, Fender is easier to navigate and takes any confusion out of it. Just my opinion. Anyway, I wanted to give you a shout out for an exceptional review. I know how much time and effort this took you to put together and I appreciate it. Best of luck in growing your channel. Have a great weekend. -Mark
Thank you very much, Mark, for your comment and interest! You are right, Truefire and Artistworks are both great courses. Unfortunatelly, I had no chance to try Fender play, because it is not available in my country. But I believe, it can be great for beginners thanks to the clear interface and easy-to-follow content (I have read some reviews:) Anyway, I checked your channel and I like it very much, you do a great job! I wish you all the best!
Got here searching for a good guitar course. I've been a self taught guitarist for 4 years but don't know how to arrange a fingerstyle and that's why I got here. Thanks for the awesome review. ♡
Thank's Joseph! Well, yes it is not easy to chose. Maybe you can try those courses offering free account or free access for a week or two and compare them.
Hey man, great video. I have decided to go online for lessons. I have been playing for 30 years now, on and off. I'd like to say I have learned licks and have played in bands part time but have not progressed well. I rely on tabs when I practice songs. I know of the scales but does not have a good understanding of their application. I can memorize tablatures for songs I wanted and needed to play but will forget them over time. I am planning to get Truefire, start with maybe late beginner and work my way up. I am planning to do Rock and acoustic fingerstyle at the same time. Will that be a good plan?
I started 17 years ago for a few months and left for 16 years. Picked back up the same guitar, equipment and was doing Justin Guitar. I learned but the guitar hurt me so badly I almost needed surgery. I left for about six months and will never be 100% without pain though good enough to try it again. Been at it, but I need structure. The world is going to hell in a handbasket quickly so money is tight to non-existent. Is there anything out there for free with real structure? I know a lot of chord fingerings (nowhere near just jumping on the strings blindly though). I have small hands where my longest finger is not much longer than a standard AA battery so all of this is hell (reason I wrecked myself trying to do stuff people with normal to long fingers take for granted). Before I had to leave for six months I was starting to get 120-160bpm transitions on simple songs so it is in me to do this. Being 57yo doesn't help. Nothing beat going to school and each day learning a brass instrument. Knew where you were and where you were going, but this guitar I am not feeling it because I think I am just flapping in the wind/spinning my wheels without a real structured program. Just looking at all these videos on YT isn't my wave.
Thank you for the excellent comparison video. I'm currently at the stage where I've just picked up my first guitar and don't know the first thing about how to play, so I'm looking for a good starter course. From what you have said, and from what I've already seen, I'm thinking Guitar Tricks sounds like an excellent starting point.
I am a very very new beginner. I am looking for a structured course to teach me the basic building blocks of playing guitar, and to learn about music theory at the same time. Is there an online course that you would recommend for both?
Hi and thank's for your comment! Well, to be honest, I think all these courses for beginners have limited theory lessons in general...but I would say Guitar tricks and Jamplay are a good start point for beginners...because except for practical exercises and songs you will learn about chords, scales and other theory basics.
Exactly! It is not easy to answer this question. I believe it is always better to take private lessons...especially for beginners...because the teacher can correct you when doing mistakes. But online courses can be effective, too...in case you know you what u want to learn (for example some specific style) or you want to gain basics as a beginner...it also depends on your skills and motivation...so it is hard to say in general:)

is there any one to one communication with the mentor in TrueFire? is there any community group? please let me know
Justin has free lessons but also some paid series too. I really enjoyed his Theory course. Hos personality is great for online teaching too!
Your introduction is spot on

Which one did you chose ???
@@updateyourfacts2531 I would personally chose Artistworks, but it really depends what you want to learn and what level you are.
Justin Guitar!!
Yes, Justin guitar is a great source of free lessons.
Justin Guitar is my favorite along with the Guitareo. You may find both of them here on TH-cam.

How's your guitar play now? Did the course help? Bro 🎶✌️
Very good review.
How about “ultimate guitar”?
What about the yousician app? You haven't even brought the name which is lots of people's recommendation😢??
I've been using Andy Guitar.

Hey man nice vid. What course out of these 10 would you suggest for funk guitar?
Thanks!
Thanks.....got a solution for mah question
Have you tried tommy fujita’s guitar wisdom?
I know this guy from instagram, but I didn't know he has guitar courses. Good to know, thanks!
I was wondering about it. I love Fujita so would like to know: have you taken his courses yet? If so, please do share your opinion
Are online courses really effective?
Cause there is no one to correct or supervise you

Why?
Nice content, I'm also 95% sure that you are from Slovakia according to your English accent. I'm right? :)
Correct!:)
Hi man. What do you think about coursera begginer course?
Hi Mraza, well, I don't have an experience with coursera, but the beginner course is offered by Berklee College of Music, so it should be well done:)
Hey, man. Thanks for the video helped me out a lot. Really liked the calm and chill vibe that you have captured with it.
Glad you enjoyed it!
