  • #Self_ligating_braces is different system not only different design, a lot of benefit comparing with traditional braces:
    -Less forces needed
    -Less treatment duration
    -Less pain
    -More natural movement and more convenient position of the roots as a result of the freedom of the movement, the lips, cheeks and the tongue control the position of the teeth when it is not possible when the bracket is tightly ligated with the wire
    -Better oral hygiene

    Hola doctor.
    ¿Es cierto que el autoligado cerámico es más lento que el autoligado metálico?
    Específicamente de la marca Empower.
    Gracias! Saludos desde México.

    What are the pros and cons of a fixed retainer? I thought it would be good for someone who has ADHD but I have read articles sourcing from medical news today that Are fixed retainers worth it?
    Many orthodontists believe that permanent retainers are more effective than removable retainers. People do not have to remember to wear them, and they are also more durable than removable retainers. However, permanent retainers can make it more difficult to clean the teeth and have a higher initial cost. They make brushing and flossing more difficult and can potentially cause cavities due to that issue. Also, I have read they're uncomfortable.
    Is this true? What is your opinion? I was using Invisalign unfortunately it's my fault that I'm a failed case. I was so close to finishing but I was inconsistent. I felt that it was frustrating to take them out and remember to put them back after tasting my cooking or snacking. I felt like it was a dieting tool as well. My guess is that is not the first you've heard of that. My orthodontist said there isn't much of a difference that they both use rubber bands and the Damon braces are larger than regular clear braces. Also, the Damon braces are more costly than clear or steel traditional braces which I don't really want but he agreed to charge me 199.99 monthly until my treatment is complete.

      Transparent retainers are the best option for directly after removing the braces and it’s better in order to get best oral hygiene.. There is no relationship between retainers and ADHD

    But if less friction wont it allow wire to move without enough pull on the tooth???
    Pls justify the benefits of low force as i want to decide for my kid ,he is 16 yrs old

    • @BracesTV
      @BracesTV  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Self ligating braces is faster, cleaner and less pain.. less friction is very important to finish the case faster, even natural lip and cheek pressure is rolling in the treatment

    Thanks from INDIA.
    Studies are saying there is no significant difference between self ligation and traditional braces in terms of treatment time, patient pain. Moreover fine tuning is possible more with traditional only.

    traditional braces need 300 gr and self ligating braces need 10 gr. does that mean traditional braces use 30 times more force on teeth than the other one? thats so much force!

    • @BracesTV
      @BracesTV  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The friction is higher so the movement requires higher force

  • @charlotte2048
    @charlotte2048 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Hmmm i dont knowwww haha your teeth aint gonna move if you push it that hard or softly. Trying pushing it with your finger yeah doesnt move that easily right?(if it did then go see a dentist you are deteriorating rapidly), it takes time some apply more pressure then others, some faster thrn others but you achieve similar results.

      I’ve had regular braces before and I have the damon braces now. I can definitely i saw A LOT of improvements quicker with the damon braces! I had an open bite that my previous regular braces couldn’t correct but the damon did so much correction in just a month! It’s very worth it!

    • @BracesTV

      That’s true

    • @noadstv
      @noadstv 10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@deenlazarito9196fyi all braces work that way. It needs months to dissolve the jaw bone first before moving the teeth. in your case, your regular braces already did the dissolving first so the self-ligating do the rest phase. there is an experience with artificial teeth that proved self-ligating is indeed faster at first stage but slower at 2nd and 3rd stage.
