My ortho suggested me to use these braces cuz they r more effective and it might prevent me from extracting my premolars, even tho they r a bit more expensive than ordinary ones i still prefer these, im so excited !! Im getting them next week UwU

@@firasdawod3735 yess i did, its been two months, and today i went for my tightening appointment!
So, the first time u get them it will feel weird and discomfort, u might feel some soreness and it will be difficult to eat and talk but after like 10 days or less u will get used to them and barely feel they even exist! So i wish u goodluck 😊

It only took an hour for mine to be installed but the wires are making huge cuts on my cheeks so I night have to go back and get them cut shorter

God these look so much easier then when we tie them in with colors 😩
I've these for 10 months now and they're actually wonderful. Less pain, way shorter and easier appointments and you don't look like you've plaque on your teeth from the elastics getting stained as is the case with traditional braces. They're not very expensive from the traditional braces either.

What is the difference between traditional braces and self-ligating braces?
As far as I know the regular one uses rubber bands which can worn out in some time - the self ligating one uses metal locks that provide better hold and stability for the whole process of fixing the bad occlusion

You actully dont need any rubber bands in these braces because there is already a lock
I have ceramic braces but there are no locks on them but rubber bands kinds of lock

Yes, you can add the color rings. However, it is not recommended at the very beginning of the treatment.

if i have to use a height gauge for accurate positioning,its time consuming to open the doors to access the slots. Why cant you pack it with the doors opened.
Positioning the brackets in the closed position allows for a better bracket placement, as you can really see all the visual clues. Some times u r braces can u r own teeth please be careful it will decay if u don't take certain cases use sensitive tooth paste u will be safe I am facing issues of decay so pls take care bye

@@nurazwahana9417 im not sure but people say it is better and possibly faster. Damon also makes less friction even though im not sure what that actually means. I picked damon, at least it looks good on my teeth because it provides smaller brackets.
At the end it is kinda tricky though because you can only choose one, which means you dont have any references which one is actually better. You can find that information based only other people's opinion

i also think i have damon braces because the dentist said that the brackets i have don't need elastics since they can just close on the wire. the bands are usually for traditional braces. its still optional though so you can ask

and my 3rd appointment is on 15th March.
So it goes
Day 1: after 5hours of wearing it, You experience instance dull pain (means if you go on liquid food(total) you will not experience any pain or anything but bit uncompatable......
Gone the days, the pain will just vanish and you can eat solid food (not hard).......
And that's all. You will not even know that you been wearing it. Same for the day of tightening , the pain will last for only few days.

Tsotsi It helps the orthodontist know which bracket goes where. it’s just paint, it chips off in a day

alaa Aljdaei also, the first weeks gonna be the worst. I reccomend eating nothing but yogurt, jello, or other foods of that softness the first week.
The second week will be kinda better. Still kinda bad though. Third week will be good for sure. Unless you get a device that shifts your molars like i did. Third week for me was absolute hell because of that.
Update? How are your teeth now?
namai hello!! Yeah these braces worked amazingly well. Unfortunatley, I got mine out on in Mexico and nobody in my US state or Hawaii would touch them because they didn’t know how to work with them, so I had to pull them off myself. However, if you’re getting yours on, in your home area, I 100% recommend these over any others. They worked so fast!!
