I wrote this song over 15 years ago, at a time in my life where I had just begun to truly understand the importance of my upbringing as a kid, and how it was shaping me into the man I was becoming. The amount of pride, respect and appreciation I have for my raising and my Home is indescribable.
~If I had to choose one song to play to the world that sums me up as a man, this is the song I would play.

Still dont have plumbing for running water but when the county brought water lines up the hill i hooked up a garden hose to my main water line. I had to dig and lay the pipes from the meter to my house. I feel blessed to have running water in the house so to speak. Before that i had to carry water into the house. Not many people can live like i do. Im a female and live alone in the foothills of rural Appalachia. 4 wheel drive country.
