Same here, stuff like The Mandalorian makes me hopeful that the practical effects, and filming techniques, and aesthetics of the 80's/90's are returning, with overwashed CGI crap becoming a past time. Hollywoods should follow Chris Nolan as a guideline when it comes to CGI usage.
@@randomrecipes5007 Yes, although aesthetically, economically and overall quality was better in many areas, there was a lot of false beliefs, limitations and bull in those days that I'm glad are gone.
This video has that odd sense of nostalgia, like you've seen it before but can't remember where from. If hollywood wasn't such a piece of junk these days I would absolutely love to see this made! At the same time though, I don't think there's anyone now that would truly be able to capture the feel you get just from just these still images and music. It almost makes me sad... Wonderfully done, TKO!
Forget hollywood, there is a lot of independant companies who are willing to make way better movies and amazing stuff with AI and young new actors/actresses and they only need the intellectual property rights and good writers to start filming and surpass those stupidly cringe azzholes in hollywood.
That porsche-esque batmobile has got to be the best batmobile concept I've seen yet. I'd love an 80s cyberpunk batman. Sometimes you don't know you want something until someone bring it to you.

These look like Batman themed versions of characters and concepts from other media. Heath ledger joker. Nolan Dark knight bain. 1960s batmobile with cyberpunk style. Frank millier dark knight. Even the scene of bale Batman and ledger joker at the party in dark knight returns. And environment and atmosphere like Tim Burton Gotham city. And so on ....
Cyberpunk Batman? F'ing awesome! I can only hope that someday we get a darker than dark Batman movie with a dark, cyberpunk look, as you're captured here.
I liked the dark approach the first Batman took. In 1989 the general audience (those who hadn't watched Batman in tv since the 60s or touched a comic in 20 years or so) still thought the comics where silly like the tv show. That changed in 1968-1969 in the comics. But most people still had the "gee golly batman!" Image in their mind. This movie pushed it wasn't gonna be like that. Even the news media was a little out of touch. In 1988, just one year earlier when robin died, big magazines and most of the media believed that the original Robin had died, many seemed to have no clue this was the 2nd Robin and Grayson had quit 5 years ago. It just goes to show how much people pay attention to comics now compared to then.
I would love to have a batman beyond movie whit this aestethic, also in the video I would've liked more pictures of batman sidekicks, I feel like they're a very important part of the batmans franchise
This is close to what I want for a "Batman Beyond" a *Neon-Cyberpunk Dark Fantasy* with cool tech and design.. man just imagine how unique and creative it could be~ really really interesting and unique to any other batman.
Me too man, workin on Spider-man now, but Batman Beyond is 100% in the line up, too many people askin for it in the comments. Terry McGinnis needs some love, thanks for watchin! 👍🏼
Hopefully we get this version with either Robert Pattinsons world with The Batman part 2, or the upcoming Batman: The Brave and the Bold film by James Gunn, and company.

I can't believe no one is talking about The Penguin's adorable mutant sidekick at 3:24. The Penguin's not even a villain in this movie, because his psychological problems are kept in check by Mr. Pengerton the emotional support bird. "You know, it's strange, but sometimes I feel like I want to commit crimes..." "Hey Oswald, don't forget to take your meds!" "Oh yes, thank you, Mr. Pengerton. What was I saying? Ah, never mind, I can't remember. You're just so damn cute!"
DC needs to hire you. If you can implement this style for a future Batman movie I think it’ll be very popular and may get DC where Marvel/Disney has dropped off after End Game.
As a child of the 70s, I only see a little 80s aesthetic here, but a whole lot of 90s. Regardless, hire this artist to design the new Batman movie in the DCU. The makeup, costumes, and vehicles are chillingly awesome!

Wow, this gives me Ridley Scott/John Carpenter vibes from the 80s. Imagine if they got together for a Batman film back then…..
Wow, how cool would that be? They could have John carpenter do that today and make it all take place in the 80s. Love this scores and style.
