Yeah, they wasted time and money on a Batwoman tv show, a Batgirl movie, and now another CW produced Bat-verse show. It’s especially ripe to do, while the Reeves Batman, has the attention of more casual comic book folks. That opening with him having to point the gun, is perfect. WB and Marvel are wasting time, not having Justice League and Avengers series. Each company, could do a series with different characters, like JLU and Avengers: EMH did it. I’d rather see a Beyond series, because Terry is the only character who I’ve ever truly accepted as the new Batman.
After seeing this video I started watching Batman Beyond and as someone who’s never seen it before I’m glad to say it’s fantastic. The futuristic aesthetic, the dynamic between Terry and Bruce, the new villains, it’s all awesome!
That scene in the first episode of Bruce being forced to hold a gun to his enemy because he's too old to save himself, absolutely heartbreaking. Batman Beyond deserves a movie.
One of the most unsettling scenes in that first or second episode is Bruce shutting down the suit, sitting alone in the Batcave listening to Terry get almost get beaten to death. It shows how cold Bruce has gotten, and his conscience does eventually win out, but you could never imagine the OG animated series Batman even considering that.
I never noticed until now that, Terry and Bruce really did need each other. Terry needed that mentor figure in his life to help him atone for his past mistakes by helping others. Bruce needed Terry for companionship in his old age where everyone around him is either dead, or has stop talking to him. Great chemistry could be so easily adapted to the big screen. Just to think that the visuals of something like Blade Runner 2049 with the Batman grit to it would be amazing. Terry's teenage anger & willingness to do the right thing is what was so captivating to me when I was a kid. This would be a fresh take on the Batman that we desperately need.
Ever since I was a small child, one scene from the first episode has always lived in my head. "Don't you know who we are old man? We're the Jokers!" "Sure you are."
I can only imagine what a quality director and cinematographer could do with Neo Gotham. That would be a world I’ve been dying to see on screen for a LONG time. As much as Bruce Wayne will ALWAYS be Batman, I can tell audiences are dying for something new and interesting and not just yet another interpretation of the Batman/Joker story. Bring on Terry McGinnis!!!!

It's very possible scripts are being written and sent to WB and it's even more possible that they're turning a shit tone of them down. But I'm sure well see a director get there hands on script eventually, but the point is it's not solely in the power of the director but rather the studio

My buddy used to work as a crewmember for film and this was in the works YEARS ago. I'm a huge Batman fan and he sent me one of the posters they had drawn up for it. I have it framed and hanging on my wall to this day.
As a huge fan of Batman and Cyberpunk/Blade Runner aesthetics, Batman Beyond will always be one of my favorite versions of the character. Plus, BB had one of the most badass theme songs. I hope you make a video about the 2004 Batman show one day. Both shows are so underrated.
I think that Ace the Bat-Hound is actually an essential component of Batman Beyond. Ace is a broken dog, but one that I like the think kept Bruce going all those years.
I love this version of Bruce Wayne. In the episode, Revenant, when he tells Terry that he has seen it all. This is a 80 year old man who fought everything from street thugs to mad scientists, insane criminals, demi gods, cosmic entities, giant robots, mythical creatures, aliens, and worse of all. Evil versions of himself.
If they ever make Batman Beyond a live action movie, I think a dance club fight scene would be cool. Something like a cross between the Iceberg Lounge scene, Return of the Joker and John Wick

This was the Batman animated series I grew up with. Arguably the most iconic perspective on Batman for me, it’s what showed me the power of Batman and the complexity of fear, regret, hope and growing up. In my adaption you would Replace Bruce and Make Damian the elder Batman. (The anger and edge as an old man will make even more sense. ) The breaking of the bat family and being the last one remaining would be the most heartbreaking flashback scenes. -Terry being Damian’s son in a sequel
I created a tradition of writing a game review before I start my homework each day (something which my professors keep adding to day after day as the semester is almost over) and HiTop Films + Internet Pitstop are easily the two biggest inspirations for the format and what I try to channel. They both have such an amazing way of taking a piece of *art* and stripping away the complex mechanics of it, breaking it down past the logical 10-hour-video criticisms, just to reveal the emotion that it presents and incites. The Suicide Squad is "alive", Birds of Prey is "Fantabulous", there is very little as "magical" as that Gameboy Advance start screen when out and about. (note that I love 10 hour analysis as well though. But I certainly have a preference for "reviews" that wear their heart on their sleeve.)

Looking back on this it makes me sad how close we were to getting such a beautifully told story of Batman beyond. The same people that wrote spiderverse pitched a Batman beyond movie to Warner brothers and were rejected, because Warner brothers wanted to make that Minecraft movie which is obviously a failure now. We could’ve had an amazing Batman beyond movie especially with the concept art that was leaked and the small movie that was leaked my god it would’ve been beautiful and fit in perfectly with the world. 😔

I think Batman Beyond hasn’t been adapted yet because the style is so easy to mess up. The suit looks awesome in animation, but it’s probably tricky to recreate in real life while still looking cool. It’s hard to recreate that dystopian Blade Runner aesthetic.
The voice for something like this is never big enough, and everything everyone says is beyond true and has been said for a while, we’ve gotten screwed over not getting a movie twice, but if it comes at the right time it could be AMAZING
I’d say one of the best scenes is when Bruce tells Terry “The voice said Bruce, that’s not what I call myself in my head.” Telling that he is still the bat inside
If this FINALLY comea to the screen: 1. The director of the show needs to be at at the helm. 2. There needs to be more than just a one off movie. A trilogy or more ought to be so much that the FULL story can be as impactful.
I definitely think Michael Keaton could play an older version of Batman along with Dylan O'Brien as the young Terry, also surprisingly turning Tim Burton's universe into a dystopian cyberpunk world sounds awesome!

Dear HiTop Films, as an actor I cannot express to you simply in words what it would mean to me to be able to fulfill a role like this. Growing up I always thought that Terry McGinnis was a much more interesting and amazing Batman than his predecessor. Not to say that Bruce Wayne doesn’t have his own legacy, but personally I think Batman Beyond was something that had been developed ahead of it’s time. It is a shame to see that it never got the full recognition that it deserves. I hope that one day that changes.
The only reasons that batman beyond hasn't got a live action movie is how hard to make a good batman beyond helmet and that the people at WB are dumb...THEY MADE A GAME WHERE YOU KILL BATMAN
a Batman Beyond movie would be phenomenal, but imagine a Batman Beyond GAME. Maybe made by Rocksteady, maybe not, I don't care who does it as long as it's awesome. Playing as Terry learning the ropes of being a hero and gradually getting stronger as you learn more of Bruce's old skills and apply Terry's own fresh ideas, retelling the iconic stories of the cartoon and a brand new overarching narrative in a world as beautifully dystopian as Cyberpunk 2077, the possibilities are endless
We need a movie that nails Bruce’s compassion and empathy that writers always seem to forget about first. I hope it’s in the batman for the DCU. Someone said the reason BMB hasn’t gotten a live action movie yet is because WB hasn’t found a way to successfully translate the unique BMB mask into live action yet. The mask looks like it’s not a mask and Terry’s mouth is naturally part of it. WB can currently only either use CGI which wouldn’t look good enough or turn the mask into the cowl and leave the mouth exposed and use black makeup which is a worse option
I agree, but I would really like it to be animated. I believe Batman always works best animated, and in the age of Spiderverse, I'd really really love this to happen.
Now that you mention it, it makes me wonder why not even DC's animation department has tapped on Batman Beyond for all these years, I feel like there's still so much to be explored with 'Beyond' as a vehicle yet it seems like they already sent him to the retirement home.
Golden perspective. In the grand scheme of it u nailed every aspect. The pain the redemption story of a batman who is closer to the people he saves than the man who gave him the suit. The angst of a neo gotham surrounding him while he’s fighting to be a better man, hell even a better batman because of his past, because of his turmoil & because of the things he sees daily that bruce Didn’t from the manor. I definitely want to see "Batman Beyond" in film form! But in order for it to be effective, I feel it has to be done by Tim Burton and Michael Keaton. We must go back to where it all began...and see what has changed and what has not.

I think Kevin Costner would be a great bruce for this movie. He portrays this jaded but inherently strong and unchanging figure in most of his roles and I think that would promote so much for this movie if it were made

I really wanna see a Batman Beyond show today or at least a movie. However, whenever I think about a Batman Beyond movie, I think of what if Jason Todd could be the villain and it’s a version that never let go of the hate of Bruce Wayne letting The Joker live but I have a bad feeling that it would either be a bad that people would hate the plot or it makes no sense for why Jason’s the main antagonist other than "Bruce let me die, why must I suffer”. Blight/Derrick Powers may be the main villain to Terry McGinnis’ Batman Beyond (who was responsible for having Mr.Fix kill Warren McGinnis and triggering Terry’s road to becoming Neo Gotham’s Dark Knight). I hope James Gunn can find the right cast and storytelling. As much as I want a Batman Beyond movie that’s based off the White Knight universe’s version of the character (since Jason Todd appears as a guard in the first issue then as Red Hood). What we also should see is a version of Jason Todd trying to find meaning after Joker’s torture but left him alive without killing him other than finding out Bruce’s identity. I’ll be waiting though for a Batman Beyond movie, no matter how long it takes and if James Gunn can hopefully make it happen

This was the Batman animated series I grew up with. Arguably the most iconic perspective on Batman for me, it’s what showed me the power of Batman and the complexity of fear, regret, hope and growing up.

In my adaption you would Replace Bruce and Make Damian the elder Batman.
(The anger and edge as an old man will make even more sense. )
The breaking of the bat family and being the last one remaining would be the most heartbreaking flashback scenes.

I created a tradition of writing a game review before I start my homework each day (something which my professors keep adding to day after day as the semester is almost over) and HiTop Films + Internet Pitstop are easily the two biggest inspirations for the format and what I try to channel.
They both have such an amazing way of taking a piece of *art* and stripping away the complex mechanics of it, breaking it down past the logical 10-hour-video criticisms, just to reveal the emotion that it presents and incites. The Suicide Squad is "alive", Birds of Prey is "Fantabulous", there is very little as "magical" as that Gameboy Advance start screen when out and about.
(note that I love 10 hour analysis as well though. But I certainly have a preference for "reviews" that wear their heart on their sleeve.)

Looking back on this it makes me sad how close we were to getting such a beautifully told story of Batman beyond. The same people that wrote spiderverse pitched a Batman beyond movie to Warner brothers and were rejected, because Warner brothers wanted to make that Minecraft movie which is obviously a failure now. We could’ve had an amazing Batman beyond movie especially with the concept art that was leaked and the small movie that was leaked my god it would’ve been beautiful and fit in perfectly with the world. 😔

I think Batman Beyond hasn’t been adapted yet because the style is so easy to mess up. The suit looks awesome in animation, but it’s probably tricky to recreate in real life while still looking cool. It’s hard to recreate that dystopian Blade Runner aesthetic.

The voice for something like this is never big enough, and everything everyone says is beyond true and has been said for a while, we’ve gotten screwed over not getting a movie twice, but if it comes at the right time it could be AMAZING

1. The director of the show needs to be at at the helm.
2. There needs to be more than just a one off movie. A trilogy or more ought to be so much that the FULL story can be as impactful.
I definitely think Michael Keaton could play an older version of Batman along with Dylan O'Brien as the young Terry, also surprisingly turning Tim Burton's universe into a dystopian cyberpunk world sounds awesome!

Dear HiTop Films, as an actor I cannot express to you simply in words what it would mean to me to be able to fulfill a role like this. Growing up I always thought that Terry McGinnis was a much more interesting and amazing Batman than his predecessor. Not to say that Bruce Wayne doesn’t have his own legacy, but personally I think Batman Beyond was something that had been developed ahead of it’s time. It is a shame to see that it never got the full recognition that it deserves. I hope that one day that changes.
The only reasons that batman beyond hasn't got a live action movie is how hard to make a good batman beyond helmet and that the people at WB are dumb...THEY MADE A GAME WHERE YOU KILL BATMAN
a Batman Beyond movie would be phenomenal, but imagine a Batman Beyond GAME. Maybe made by Rocksteady, maybe not, I don't care who does it as long as it's awesome. Playing as Terry learning the ropes of being a hero and gradually getting stronger as you learn more of Bruce's old skills and apply Terry's own fresh ideas, retelling the iconic stories of the cartoon and a brand new overarching narrative in a world as beautifully dystopian as Cyberpunk 2077, the possibilities are endless

We need a movie that nails Bruce’s compassion and empathy that writers always seem to forget about first. I hope it’s in the batman for the DCU. Someone said the reason BMB hasn’t gotten a live action movie yet is because WB hasn’t found a way to successfully translate the unique BMB mask into live action yet. The mask looks like it’s not a mask and Terry’s mouth is naturally part of it. WB can currently only either use CGI which wouldn’t look good enough or turn the mask into the cowl and leave the mouth exposed and use black makeup which is a worse option

Golden perspective. In the grand scheme of it u nailed every aspect. The pain the redemption story of a batman who is closer to the people he saves than the man who gave him the suit. The angst of a neo gotham surrounding him while he’s fighting to be a better man, hell even a better batman because of his past, because of his turmoil & because of the things he sees daily that bruce Didn’t from the manor. Man ill even play terry at this point.
I definitely want to see "Batman Beyond" in film form! But in order for it to be effective, I feel it has to be done by Tim Burton and Michael Keaton. We must go back to where it all began...and see what has changed and what has not.

I really wanna see a Batman Beyond show today or at least a movie. However, whenever I think about a Batman Beyond movie, I think of what if Jason Todd could be the villain and it’s a version that never let go of the hate of Bruce Wayne letting The Joker live but I have a bad feeling that it would either be a bad that people would hate the plot or it makes no sense for why Jason’s the main antagonist other than "Bruce let me die, why must I suffer”. Blight/Derrick Powers may be the main villain to Terry McGinnis’ Batman Beyond (who was responsible for having Mr.Fix kill Warren McGinnis and triggering Terry’s road to becoming Neo Gotham’s Dark Knight). I hope James Gunn can find the right cast and storytelling. As much as I want a Batman Beyond movie that’s based off the White Knight universe’s version of the character (since Jason Todd appears as a guard in the first issue then as Red Hood). What we also should see is a version of Jason Todd trying to find meaning after Joker’s torture but left him alive without killing him other than finding out Bruce’s identity. I’ll be waiting though for a Batman Beyond movie, no matter how long it takes and if James Gunn can hopefully make it happen
