Salvi, the word you're looking for is "predatory." They're hiring youngsters, with no experience, no one to advocate for them, and signing them to absolutely horrible contracts, knowing they don't know any better but are desperate for the opportunity- and they're using that to the company's advantage.

Salvi is the new Khyo/FalseEyeD of the vtubers news, he uploads 2 videos every day and also streams every day, although they are mostly always from Nijisanji and comparisons of quality and quantity between Niji and Hololive. Lately I've noticed that Khyo, False, and Depressed Nousagi aren't uploading as much content as they used to because of the constant Nijisanji dramas every day. This guy works hard and eats well.
False stopped uploading because they have to deal with Anykara trying to take down their videos. When the smoke is cleared False will upload again.
I can see talking about Niji every single day would be upsetting to those three. They're the big dogs and all they end up talking about is a company that at this point is basically a has been.

The lawyer thing with VShojo is a new policy. Iirc veibae mentioned that she never had a lawyer go examine her contract and that was one of her big gripes for leaving.

@NilowTank completely different models I think. Vshojo goes after big talent who are of high value. It makes sense they want to treat them well. Ppl in Nijisanji were pushed to feel like they owe everything to nijisanji despite them doing the bare minimum . I doubt we are going to see much change in that. Like with that model it makes sense how they could afford to just keep throwing out new talents. They'd have to completely redo their business model probably.
one thing i found strange is people would always try to downplay people love for Cover and Hololive or try to somehow invalidate criticism of Kurosanji
by stating cover isn't a perfect company. i don't think any holofan ever has claimed it was a perfect company. everyone knows Cover F'ed up several times
but you can't grow without making misakes.
we don't love Cover and Yagoo because we think They're perfect, we love Cover and Yagoo and hololive because they strive to be better and not repeat past mistakes.
they are willing to cast aside the overly prideful nature of many japanse companies and actually own up to their mistakes rather than cover it up. unlike nijisanji who
will do everything and anything to try to silence negative criticism.
Cover allowed the vtuber news outlets to spread and report the news of their mistakes. rather than run and hide they took all the warrented criticism and used it to be
better. its how Cover has handled and grown from all the past incidents that gains peoples admiration of them.
I think this comes directly from Yagoo, if you watch Depressed Nousagi's story of Yagoo, you'll see that Yagoo has a lot of experience running business, not just the marketing business for SanRio but 3 other one's as well. This means he has experience on the International scene as well, not lots of it but he knows people in other countries operate differently and he needs to be viewed on the international scene if he wants to grow.
Riku is on the other hand a kid, he's in his 20's and has no experience on the Internatinal scene. I bet he is having a lot of difficulty with making EN Livers function like traditional Japanese people, and he can't fathom how it is his company and himself that need to take responsibility. He think it is the disgruntled Livers doing that when it is what we the viewers are perceiving because of how his company is behaving, that he doesn't care for his employees
Exactly. I think a lot of people forget that the Vtuber industry as a whole is still pretty young. It's not even 10 years old yet. Hence, a lot of trial and error. The closest they can reference is either the acting or music industry cos Vtubing is a little bit of everything.
Plus, Hololive has had a strong theme since the beginning. What's Nijisanji's theme? Nothing.
I think the downplaying of Hololive is to keep from being seen/labelled as, "Just another Hololive fanboy/fangirl". Its also probably to cover their own asses if Hololive ever has another really bad fuck up in the future. People don't want to say, "Hololive is a really great company! They are doing so many things right". Then if something happens a year or so in the future, people will come back and say "How dare you call Hololive a great company! This and this and that thing happened!"
The internet doesn't want to accept that someone's opinion can change depending on what happens. As far as the internet is concerned, if you say you love something now, you can't later hate it or feel disappointed if something really bad happens. I have people replying to comments I made years ago about things that were completely different back then and what I said was correct at that time. I don't even make videos and this happens to me. I can't imagine how much that happens to people who do make videos.

@@MayasMotivation the difference is i don't fault nijisanji for making mistakes what i fault them for is REPEATING those mistakes. Hololive learns and nijisanji never learns. nijisanji is stuck in the mindset of older knows everything and younger knows nothing. while Cover is of the mindset that the younger have a different perspective to offer to the table which can improve things.
most of all Yagoo is humble and accepting of the fact that while he is experienced there are many things he can still learn. both from those older and those younger. it has served Cover and Hololive very well over the years.
When hololivemeet wasn't even called a concert blows my mind, since IMO it is a small concert in itself, packed venue, light sticks, 3Ds, like it's night and day. If NDF really want to not compare to Holofes 5, then they can compare Virtual Rhapsody to this, and it is not even comparable.
Hololive wins just by existing.
The backlash and consequences Niji has been receiving ever since the black screen video has honestly been impressive.
I never thought it'd be this severe.
Anytime a person tries to kick a person while they're down so to speak, the backlash is going to be great. The thing with Niji is I think the sentiment was growing since the Zaion Twitlonger post (the 22 page expose), then for the entire next year every project Selen was working on was getting dunked on, that drove up the animosity, then there was her termination, the letter alone would have eventually been forgotten but then the contract blank came out and then Sayu's copy of the Silencing contract (illegal in the US) and the blank video, all within that short month just absolutely showed how arrogant Riku was and how little regard he gave to others.
Each bit just lowered public opinion. The Livers all know it too, they watch False for sure and any have probably watched Legal Mindset and saw just how bad their contract actually was, they know it, and know they're stuck, there will be a huge backlash internally if the Livers can't afford to eat. they will have to break contract at some point just to put food on the table.
Perhaps an ex-NIJISANJI moderator may shine light on Kotoka Torahime’s problematic behavior similar to how Raziel Warmonic did with Luca Kaneshiro…

After the black stream i unsubbed from all niji livers and just watched hololive and vshojo. Holo 3d concerts are so high quality and Michi and Henya are so interesting
Holo 3D is awesome, the quality is out of this world
Only events from Holo made regret heavily when Im not able attend them😢
I unsubbed to all of Niji EN after the black screen stream, but still subbed to all their ex-ID & ex-KR. Layla from ex-ID and Hada from ex-KR are the only ones I still actively trying to watch
But even so, they don't stream as often as they used to anymore before the mass ex-ID graduations anyway, so most of my free time is used to visit Holopros & Vshojo's streams, and lately I've been addicted over Nawasena's Aiko Zurie, girl deserves so much more then 10 - 15 CCV in YT tbh. Unlike Holopros and Vshojo, I watch her streams in full, it makes me realize that clippers really do make a difference for a vtuber...
i use to watch niji a lot before the selen termination, but after that i unsubbed to all of them except for scarle and meloco. Though i rarely catch their streams anymore since i'm watching indies or busy with work/streaming.
The fact that YT still tried to recommend Niji clips/streams is undeniable true even though I already click "not interested" on the clips and "dont recommend this channel" on Niji liver channels
I feel bad for Victoria and Kunai, seeing as they're new. Those two deserve better
For me Kunai is the saddest one. Known her since her PL and her collabs in another channel, but now she is just kinda there. Hope she just graduates. Vivi is sad as well, both her oshis were treated like shit by Niji and now that she is there, her oshis aren't

Not only that but niji livers only collab with claude (from what I’ve seen) and it doesn’t help with how vivi and kunai are just there/pushed to the side and almost forgotten. Niji and the livers aren’t helping the girls and it sucks when I see them get ccv less than a lot of indies, they both seem so fun and genuine!

I stopped watching niji last year because their stream time is the time I’m usually asleep as I have school, so me hearing about the shitshow that happened really surprised me like one day I just saw the drama and said “Why’s nijisanji burning down all of a sudden 😅”
If you're really interested, I'm still watching 3 Kuro members, well, 4 in a way... Belmond Bandera, Ange katrina, Levi Elipha and Hanna Macchia (well, I haven't watched her since her hiatus) All of them have shown being really nice people and being there to help others, so I do not think they deserve to suffer because of Kurosanji. Thank worked their butts off for so long to reach the audiance they gained, longer than an EN have, they earned my trust and my interest. If I had more time, I would also watch Higushi Kaede.

I fairly recently just started watching vtubers. It was around the time Holo Advent was about to debut. I was aware of their existence before tho mainly okakoro clips or the occasional miko clip but decided to give it a try. started watching clips and eventually streams. algo then recoms me niji clips specifically the girls and I got to know some of them there. most prominent would've been Pomu, selen, meloco and scarle clips. never really watched a niji stream before. and as a filipino, never really liked millie's streams since I personally feel cringe (das just me tho) and I did find Enna clips funny specifically her mortuary assistant clip with her rapping the bible verse. When sh*t did hit the fan I started to notice things and stuff just clicked. red flags started to be raised and here we are now. Kinda sad personally I never got to watch Pomu and Selen properly since I tend to hyperfixate on my faves. Also never did like the guys since I felt they were too cocky about themselves (and as it turns out they were). They all looked like they were having fun to me but it felt a bit off as well, like they think they're all that since Vox is one of if not the biggest male vtuber in EN and the way they all talked just sounded like a "I have the biggest d1ck" competition between them

BiliBili has a huge chunk of stock in Niji as well as the agency VirtualReal - which is jointly owned by BiliBili and Anycolor - yeah they won't let anything be uploaded from there in order to keep their investments safe.
Bili" already made a rather red flag rules due to the whole Hololive Kiryu incident that basicaly put you privacy at risk. I'm not suprised they want to remove all niji related drama aa they have their own Niji CN feud to deal with themself to save face.

I can't help but feel like the atmosphere surrounding Ninji talents and streams is like one with strained family relationships where some shit happened, but everyone doesn't talk about it and keeps on talking like we all can't fell this omnipresent pressure that lingers around the room.
I feel for the talents that hitched their wagon to all of this, and I feel bad for the people that want to support but are being put in a very awkward position. Ninji has no one to blame but themselves for what is happening. I just hope that whoever is there can find some peace amongst it all and those that find a way out have all the luck in the world re-forging a better future.
Only niji liver i ever watch regularly is scarle. Mostly watch indies. I was only exposed to majority of nijisanji streamers via collabs.
It's been clear for a while that niji is just another greedy company. And these kinda of companies will happily set the world on fire if it meant they could rule over the ashes.
As for Anime Expo having a Nijisanji concert which is probably not going to break even at the peacock plaza. It's already too late to rebook, I doubt Niji will be cut off but they won't do anything like this Hololive will get this kind of booking especially with the new office being set up in LA next year.
I can see why the concert isn't going to do well Of the nine performers 5 of them are not well liked at all, Not to mention the company itself stinks of corruption. This is a naturally occuring boycott. We'll see what happens at the concerts though.

i already stopped watching niji the moment i saw millie's tweet about selen's privated song. my brain processed it immediately that she should have said it to her through dms and not calling her out in a public platform. then I unfollowed and unsub to every single niji member when selen's termination was posted and read the 3 pages they wrote.
I laughed at the guy's comment about the green being available seating. I guess they too were shocked at how much room there was for the concert.
I don't watch niji en anymore, I used to watch pomu and selen but both are gone from niji now. Though I still occasionally watch Salome
I didn't consider myself a vtuber fan for a while, and just watched clips, but my faves were Fulgur, Uki, Alban, and... Ike and Enna. Now I don't watch anyone. Ike being in the black screen stream was especially devastating to me. Now I don't care for Niji as a whole, but I do miss Fulgur and I hope he's actually doing well. 😢 Now I watch Holostars EN and some indies. 👍🏻
I would say I watch them about as much as I did prior to February which is hardly ever to be honest, the last I saw was part of Rosemi's Ring Fit stream.
the only niji i ever watched were some clips of Gibera and Lulu back in early 2020 no streams and no branches

I’m still subbed to Nina even though she’s not there anymore and still watch the occasional old clip of a few others but for the most part I was never a big fan of most of the Nijisanji talents. There are some small corpus, indies and Hololive talents I watch regularly that fit me better.

5:12 I was not into vtubers until like a year ago or so when the Hogwarts Legacy situation happened and Henya started appearing here and there. In fact I'd still say I'm not into vtubers, I just watch more than before. So I have never been a Nijisanji viewer. Funnily enough, excluding clips, all the content I have watched of Nijisanji is from streamers who are not there anymore. I watched Nina's Outer Wilds VODs (until it ended abruptly) because I like Outer Wilds... I watched Mika play The Stanley Parable... and I watched Selen playing The Exit 8.

I'd rather feed myself rat poison than support that one when there are far better ships available. I'll just keep them to myself and yes, I know it's kind of hypocritical to be saying this when I go against shipping. The main problem is making it a public thing where anyone can see it and they can influence the actions of people put in them.
about watching niji livers... once every blue moon nowadays i throw a view towards Shu, Doppio and Ver. 2 of my fav girls left (Selen and Pomu) and the 2 that stayed may or may not be part of the clique (Millie and Enna), so it doesn't feel good to watch them anymore. Those 3 guys are still comfy/funny, so they get a pass from me. I do hope the 3 of them get out tho, I'll be following them into their next lives.

No, I don't watch anyone in Niji anymore. I have unsubbed from all of them without exception, and barely watch clips of Scarle. Once in a blue moon, if I'm offered a clip of Rosemi, Petra, Maria, Aia or the preciously rare Kunai or Vivi one, I'll have a look. Otherwise I'm no contact with the yacht.

For watching Niji, I mainly watch Vanta and the rest of Krisis, plus Uki and Ren for comfort vibes and the banter, and I watched Kyo yapping streams before he left. I never watched any of the girls so Doki doesn't even resemble Selen at all to me. Doki is just Doki.
Do I still watch niji livers? The answer is yes, but only a few people who haven't done anything wrong and I refuse to buy merch because that supports the company. Please understand I lost my kami oshi Vox Akuma because he ended up being a terrible person so I don't want to lose the people who haven't done anything wrong
