Can you engineer a Nurburgring Nordschleife track in Cities Skylines
This has the same energy of a kid playing make believe with a toy car and riding it along various surfaces in his mom's house and narrating what's going on. I love it.
Then the red car will go through "THE WASHING MACHINE-NATOR" and fight the blue car in "MT. TOILET SEATER" and this will be the world's most epic CAR FIGHT
and asks an older brother for help because his toy's not working

That's the exact route my parents took to get to school. But for them it was uphill both ways.
The same for my parents, but instead of ferries they had skis made of wooden planks. Instead of roller coaster, they had wolf ridden mountains to pass by foot (or by skis). The roads? eh... The highway was a path.

Luxury. My parents had to wake up half an hour before they went to sleep, then after a meal of red hot, smoking magma, they had to make this journey crawling on their bellies in the snow. Then they'd gave to work a 28 hour day, paying their boss royalties for the previlage of working there. Then when they got home, their father would murder them in cold blood, then bury them and dance on their graves singing "Yes Sir, I Can Boogie"

I mean, you can get two hours of sleep at best. Assuming a 7 hour commute time, leaving exactly at 5 PM, you'd return at midnight, giving you two hours to sleep (neglecting everything else, of course).

You know I just love the entire journey so much
The 20 Mile drive through low visibility roads
10 mph track that goes up and down and all around
Constant anxiety from almost tipping over while the ferry attempts to climb a mountain
And then finally a drive to my job at the fish stick factory... I'm fired? For being 3 days late??
Well at least it's a fun commute home
I hated commuting until I got a job in the city I actually lived in and could ride my bike. Now I miss the 8 mile round trip bike ride every day when the weather is nice. But man whenever I have to travel for work now ( remote with some onsite travel ) I hate getting stuck in highway traffic. I couldn't imagine going back to the daily 45 minute to 1.5 hour drive I did right out of college.
Don't know if Biffa has ever done a face reveal, but a live reaction to opening the save file would've been the perfect opportunity

The car park designed by an architect reminded me of how my dad always used to get mad about badly designed/tiny parking spaces, he'd complain they were designed by idiots that never used cars. He was an engineer for Renault, that may be why I enjoy your engineering content so much Matt, keep up the good work and thanks for making me reminisce 😁👍

Day 4 of asking Matt to play The Last Clockwinder. Also quick question. Did you, as a civil engineer, ever work on lake quality and removing Blue-green algae from lakes in the states? Blue-green algae is all over North America and I wonder if you have ever designed a process to remove the toxic algae :)
Good question actually. Every now and then my mind tends to always return to this topic. A lot of people don't really realize how destructive the stuff is to its surrounding ecosystem.
@@smilemore1997 I feel you, not just the ecosystem but the tourists, naturalists, scientists, and even the people who live around these lakes are affected. I know every summer that for a certain amount of time I can't go swimming or boating cause I'll literally be in contact with a neurotoxin. It kills fish and plants, and even pets and children who play in contaminated water. It's a serious issue

The finish line bit of the road might be too close to the archway so it counts as attaching to it
Would be fun until you realize you have to pay the city to get your car back across the racetrack
I have deep respect for civil engineers... As a chemical engineer, if you mess up you and everyone within the affected area dies. Civil engineers have the (concrete) element of surprise.
Seeing the arch show up out of nowhere almost completely just sobered me up

This makes me wonder, what would a map made in a co-op with Josh from Lets Game It out, would look like....I bet people would be "Run" for the fun, especially the architects.
I mean the architects would either take notes from that duo’s inspired designs or laugh at them.
You need to place additional water sources along the two water chutes to ensure more water coverage for the ferries!

Judging by matts commute skills I'm guessing he spent those 10 years as an engineer designing Newcastle-upon-Tyne's Road and metro system

This whole video is a product of architecture, just take a ferry directly from the houses to the land of work and build an efficiently shaped highway from the ferry stop to the work
That ferry route was actually pretty impressive

Wait a min, I think I'd enjoy going to work of this was my commute! Sitting at red lights is what ends me, you need to do nothing but red light after red light next time.. lol.
I think the train would have dropped faster if you didn't have the top tracks set to slow, which resulted in the back of the train being slow down.
As for the water slide, more water would have helped.
A roller coster to work, who doesnot love that, it's thrilling.
I love it when he posts Cities:Skylines content, the game was out in 2015 yet he finds a new way to enjoy this game 😂😂

They just dropped Cities Remastered on Game Pass and I'm in love all over again. Plus they fixed the achievements too. Have a 150k city and didn't get half the achievements I should've while playing without cheat/mods.

Oh, well, I'm terrible at go-karts so if the roads are designed like go-kart tracks then that explains why I am a bad driver. It's the road's fault.

For those uncultured few three Severn Bridge is the suspension bridge between England and Wales it also has a younger brother cable-stayed bridge about 2 miles south called the prince of Wales bridge 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
