Stumbled across this clip purely by accident. Never heard of these guys before but I am gobsmacked by how good this guy is. If you rate Mark Knopfler at 100% this guy's easily 99.9%. He uses the same Knopfler techniques and nails all the riffs completely. Totally superb!
I have been a Dire Straits fan for more than 40 years and I have seen DS / Mark Knopfler at least 12 times . I have seen him play sultans of swing at least 6 times . This version is the best cover I have ever heard really good. Keep rocking and keep playing great music . I think Mark knopfler would approve of this
I've listened to Dire Straits almost my whole life. I know the details of the songs in and out. But what this guy and band do really (i mean really) good is that they actually capture the performing-or performance spirit of the band and Mark Knopfler's playing. The sound of the guitar and tone is outstanding. They play the live recording and add their own parts of improvisation and excellence. Really impressive, very well done. Very well done. Best guitarcover of Sultans of Swing i ve heard.
I too know just about every live version of SofS and ALL my favorite licks are in this one, plus some of Wolfgang's own. I've listened to a lot of their performances as well, and although we're missing the sax, this is one of their best.

This crowd has no idea how amazing this performance is. Went to knopfler 6 times and three times to dire straits experience and this is literaly the best version of this song I have witnessed to date. Goosebumps...
