There are rumors that the owners or friends of them rescued the dogs. Those dogs are hunting dogs and apparently they need those dogs. Check out Viktor Larkhill video. They are a rescue animal group in Spain. I’m happy they were rescued but I do pray they are not mistreated.

In 1989 I experienced the Loma Prieta earthquake in California. It was 6.9 in magnitude. I was over 100 miles away. The ground rolled and the walls of my home swayed from side to side for about a half a minute. The news broadcast on TV, about 80 miles north of me was interrupted. It caused widespread damage in and around the SF bay area. That was one powerful earthquake. Take care BB, may God be with you.

I have been watching one of the live feeds every day along with your reports. This morning I also saw low visibility, apparently winds were actually pushing the ash and smoke back into the volcano rather than to the right and figured there would be poor visibility. I was correct cause, hours later, your view supports that. So glad the dog owners were located. Sometimes doing the right thing, goes against the rules.

If the ground is rising then the magma is building faster than it is being released. I few day ago reports said the ground had sunk, indicating that the volcano was releasing lava faster than the magma was building up. It has been very variable.
@@ximono No, they are actual measurements using satellite technology. They have been continuously measuring ground movement here for years, for height and lateral movement. It's well tried and tested and there have been actual vertical and westerly movements of the western flanks over the period, within the tolerances of the technology.

A fun thing to do with watching earthquakes is to build a little sandbox and suspend a ball bearing on a chain over it from a small frame, like a pendulum. Hang the bearing so it just grazes the sand. when there is an earthquake the Bearing will trace a beautiful pattern..

I watched the mountain crumble apart, was amazing but I feel so bad for all those people who lost everything. I am not an expert by any means at all, but it seems to me that the volcano is making room for its caldera to grow. I think you guys are going to be having a lot of tourists over the next several years. I hope that it helps those who lost their livelyhoods and homes.

Isn't that freaking amazing!?!?!?! The southern part of the island (a whole gosh darn island!) lifted 4 in. Near the caldera you can see a slip of the island, it's about 4 m or 4.5 yds. I think it tapers down as you get to the south tip. Quite frightening.

In 1989 I experienced the Loma Prieta earthquake in California. It was 6.9 in magnitude. I was over 100 miles away. The ground rolled and the walls of my home swayed from side to side for about a half a minute. The news broadcast on TV, about 80 miles north of me was interrupted. It caused widespread damage in and around the SF bay area. That was one powerful earthquake.

I have been watching one of the live feeds every day along with your reports. This morning I also saw low visibility, apparently winds were actually pushing the ash and smoke back into the volcano rather than to the right and figured there would be poor visibility. I was correct cause, hours later, your view supports that. So glad the dog owners were located. Sometimes doing the right thing, goes against the rules.

If the ground is rising then the magma is building faster than it is being released. I few day ago reports said the ground had sunk, indicating that the volcano was releasing lava faster than the magma was building up. It has been very variable.

@@ximono No, they are actual measurements using satellite technology. They have been continuously measuring ground movement here for years, for height and lateral movement. It's well tried and tested and there have been actual vertical and westerly movements of the western flanks over the period, within the tolerances of the technology.

A fun thing to do with watching earthquakes is to build a little sandbox and suspend a ball bearing on a chain over it from a small frame, like a pendulum. Hang the bearing so it just grazes the sand. when there is an earthquake the Bearing will trace a beautiful pattern..

Hooray for whoever rescued the dogs. Great plan and bravery - for the love of these animals. The government needs to cool its jets and be glad someone cares enough to rescue them. The government has its panties in a wad because the government wanted to keep their record of no one being killed or injured and they were afraid someone would be killed. HOORAY for the RESCUERS!!

I watched the mountain crumble apart, was amazing but I feel so bad for all those people who lost everything. I am not an expert by any means at all, but it seems to me that the volcano is making room for its caldera to grow. I think you guys are going to be having a lot of tourists over the next several years. I hope that it helps those who lost their livelyhoods and homes.

Great video today. Excellent reporting and photography. The music was a nice touch. I was especially interested to hear that all of that lava released by the cone collapse went over existing lava rather than flowing out towards Los Llanos or Tazacorte. Isn't that freaking amazing!?!?!?! The southern part of the island (a whole gosh darn island!) lifted 4 in. Near the caldera you can see a slip of the island, it's about 4 m or 4.5 yds. I think it tapers down as you get to the south tip. Quite frightening.
